TODAY’S DEVOTION (Friday 29th November 2019)
“But my horn you have exalted like a wild ox; I have been anointed with fresh oil. My eye also has seen my desire on my enemies; my ears hear my desire on the wicked who rise up against me.” Psalms 92:10-11 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 332nd DAY OF OUR YEAR OF GOING FORWARD.
It’s been another week of encounters for us at the Cry of the Spirit Ministries here in Nairobi and all our viewers on the Morning Cloud Television. God has been moving and His glory has been touching lives and by this weekend we are going to have the Apostolic Women Summit and our Monthly Cry of the Spirit Broadcast to the Nation.
God is working and we are happy to be part of His redemptive plans. Prepare to attend these meetings. There are no words to describe what the glory of the LORD can accomplish for the us if we submit to it! We have seen miracles done by the mercies of the LORD.
All these are happening without giving people Oil to drink, anointing them with anything, giving them salt to pray or asking them to sow seed. We have seen fibroid disappear and other ailments healed by the mercies if the GOD without using deliverance inventions.
Indeed, the place of corporate intimacy with Jesus Christ is the birthplace of the grace of deep intimacy with Jesus Christ. Without receiving the fire to be personally intimate with Jesus from a fellowship of people who emphasis deep intimacy, you will never be able to be deeply intimate on your own. Many who have attended our meetings recently can testify of that.
Friend, it’s been our season of looking at matters of deep intimacy and God has been sharing with us some precious things about that. Our devotional text today speaks of Him exalting our strength like the strength of the wild Ox and enabling us to see our desires on our enemies. It says;
“But my horn you have exalted like a wild ox; I have been anointed with fresh oil. My eye also has seen my desire on my enemies; my ears hear my desire on the wicked who rise up against me.”
The importance of having our horns exalted by the oil of God’s grace and glory (which is not in a bottle but in the Holy Ghost) cannot be capture accurately with mortal words.
If you are a Child of God you will agree with me that there are times when you face things that do not require any one’s spiritual strength to be free from them. Things you need your own spiritual strength – your personal strength from God – to settle. That is where it becomes necessary for your horn to be exalted like the horn of a wild Ox so you can see your desire on your enemies.
THE WORD HORN MEANS STRENGTH. NATURALLY THE WILD OX IS SO STRONG AND TERRIBLE.
We Africans can tell better. You better not meet one in the forest. You will need angelic intervention to be saved. However, prophetically, the wild Ox represents apostolic with prophetic strength or grace.
The Church was born through the apostolic a prophetic grace that was why it started with the 12 Apostles of the Lamb drawing from the 12 sons of Jacob. In other words, it started with the apostolic and prophetic grace.
You see, God knew why He did not start the Church with Evangelistic, pastoral, or teaching grace. Those graces are good, but they are not designed for groundbreaking. They are designed to come in after the apostolic and prophecy graces have broken the fallow ground. That alone speaks of the strength of the wild Ox again.
It is a barrier breaking strength, a hell shaking strength, a death demolishing strength, a strength that can neutralize the spirits of grave that has swallowed many people.
So when God says He will exalt our personal strength like that of the wild Ox, He is saying He will give us a barrier breaking spiritual strength and all that is mentioned above. That is the strength you need personally to deal with things no one else can help you out of except GOD working through you – things nature designed that you alone deal with.
Talking about things designed that you alone deal with; nature itself echoes this profound truth. It reveals how God made it impossible for us to use another person’s anointing, revelation, power, or strength to come out of certain battles of life.
I have come to realize that when we are caught in such battles of life, even the graces, imputes prayers and anointing of our prophets, fathers in the LORD or apostolic voices that we may be serving will not be able to help us out. I think the Church is yet to come to this revelation. That is why it is very destructive to have a spiritual father who cannot build you to have the spiritual capacity to fight personal warfare.
God designed certain battles to be conquered by Him using us not other people irrespective of how anointed they may be.
IF GOD WANT TO USE YOU TO SAVE YOU, AND YOU DO NOT HAVE THE CAPACITY FOR IT, THERE WILL BE NO SALVATION.
For instance, I have seen my wife in labor not once. But with all my anointing, prophetic powers, and revelations I have not been able to push the Babies out of her even once. I love my wife and will not even want her to pass through the pain of labor, but it is impossible for that to happen by my own strength.
Labor was designed to need a woman’s personal strength to move from start to finish. That is the way such things are.
In the same way, victory over the enemy in certain battles of life can never be actualized by anyone’s spiritual strength. No matter how they love us, we will have to use our own personal strength to push through and come out victorious.
I have prayed for people in serious financial problems that God never responded. I have also prayed for others and He responded. He began to make me understand that certain people cannot come out of their predicament by my prayer. It will take their own personal spiritual strength and faith to come out, and if they lack it, they will perish despite other people’s prayers. The revelation blew my mind open.
He then said to me that the way out is to help people in such warfare to build spiritual capacity and faith to deal with their problems themselves. That has been part of the vision of the Cry of the Spirit ministry.
I remember the woman who was healed of diabetes and heart diseases, she sat down for months listening to me teach until her horn was exalted like that of the wild Ox and she walked out of the diseases. Today she is hale and hearty.
Daniel had the same problem. His devotion to God and righteousness earned him persecutions from his enemies. They then plotted for his death and had him thrown into the lion’s den. The king so wanted him out of the predicament that it took a long time for him to sign the documents of his incarceration.
When he was finally thrown in, the King who had the power to save but could not use it did not sleep. He was restless. Everything now hung on Daniel’s personal strength, relationship with God, and faith. And that was what saved him!
BUT LET’S ASSUME FOR A MOMENT THAT DANIEL LACKED ALL THAT. THE LIONS WOULD HAVE EATEN HIM, AND HE WOULD HAVE GONE TOO EARLY TO BE WITH THE LORD.
If there is anything people have been praying for you about that is not changing, God is telling you that that things does not require external strength for you to come out of it. It requires your own personal strength. Go and meet Him in the place of deep corporate intimacy to get it.
Stop worshiping in Churches that are not building your spiritual capacity but just giving you positions and satisfying your ego and crave for recognition and attention. In the Cry of the Spirit ministries, we spend hours in God’s presence to build the spiritual capacity of those who are willing – those who come with a true heart.
I have come to realize that the best way to help people is to grow them in the things of God and not to use them to grow your financial life as a preacher. You will come under God’s wheel of justice in your day of reckoning.
Child of God, look for a Church or fellowship where your faith capacity can by increased through deep intimacy; leave any dead Church or fellowship you may be in that is not helping you grow spiritually to deal with such problems. Disconnect from any people God is not using to anoint you with fresh Oil of grace and glory (not anointing Oil in a bottle) to come to the place where you will begin to see your desire on your enemies. If you do not, you will be sorry.
Deep corporate intimacy is the key to being anointed with fresh Oil and having your strength strengthen like the strength of the wild Ox. May your eyes not be blind to a people, Church, or ministry God has raised to strengthen you with strength in the inner man until you become a giant killer in Jesus precious name.

“And I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding. “Then it shall come to pass, when you are multiplied and increased in the land in those days,…” Jeremiah 3:15-16 NKJV
