TODAY’S DEVOTION (Sunday 29th December 2019)
“And He said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” Exodus 33:14 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 363rd DAY OF OUR YEAR OF GOING FORWARD.
According to the Gregorian Calendar, we have just two days to a new year. Just 48 hours to tell year 2019 goodbye. God has been faithful to us. Yes, He has kept His word to us, especially at the Cry of the Spirit Ministries. To Him be all the glory.
Now, I believe God will keep everyone of us alive through the transition from 2019 to 2020. But the question now is with who are we transiting with? Who have you made up your mind to step into year 2020 with? There are people that may be stepping into the new year with their new wives, kids, jobs, Pastors etc.
These things may be good, but not good enough. The person to step into a new year with is THE ANCIENT OF DAYS HIMSELF.
You may have all that I stated above, new wife, new husband, new Church, or pastor but if there is no presence of Jesus Christ – I mean His manifest presence – You will be in for trouble. You do not transit into a new year with a man or a blessing. You transit into a new year with GOD HIMSELF
Yesterday I read in the news the arrival of a secular artist to lead the youths here in Kenya into the new year in high spirits of corruption and all sorts of sexual depravity, alcohol, and dances. I call that high evil spirits. Most youths who attended such parties last year are no more this year.
If you do not want your life to be an accident waiting to happen in a new year, please exit an outgoing year in the presence of the ancient of Days and be ushered into in an coming year on the wings of His glory! I mean the glory of His presence.
I HAVE COME TO DISCOVER THAT THE GREATEST PROBLEM ON EARTH IS CAUSED BY LACK OF DIVINE PRESENCE
You find people living their lives without a thought about the manifest presence of GOD. That is the reason many are either dead or dying. A recent research has it that depression alone cause Americans over 70 billion dollars annually. This is aside other diseases of the body.
Let me share something with you. I have shared this before. I visited Israel in 2009 and was taken to a hotel where hundreds of sick people from around the world are flown to live in for 3 months, just to bath with water from the Dead Sea. The primary reason to for relief from certain cancerous diseases or so because there was no cure for the ailment of those being brought there.
Then I said to myself, “if God’s Sea can bring relief that means God’s presence will give the people a permanent rest.” I reason within myself “why can’t this pursue God’s presence which is everywhere, instead of His Sea?” Then I realized no one may have told them this. I wish I could, but the system will not let people with God’s healing word to reach this suffering people.
I wonder how much the world spends on problems that can easily and freely be taken care of by the presence of the LORD. One major way to insure your health in 2020 is to be a man or woman who carries the presence of the LORD!
Friend, there will be deaths in 2020. We do not need a prophet to tell us that. Time alone is testifying of it. The incurable emanates daily from hell to cut the lives of men short before salvation reach them. Some of these diseases are nameless. Maybe they will need a nameless prophet to deal with them.
BUT OUR RESPOND TO DISEASES LIKE THAT IS THE USE OF MONEY.
We respond by spending fortune to cure diseases that only God’s manifest presence is designed to fix permanently.
I am not against medical science but God’s original provision for our health was His presence. Whatever has defied medical science therefore needs to be taken to His presence for final elimination. Friend, the presence of the LORD is the only place where the pressures of life can be freely and permanently dealt with.
People who do not understand the importance of God’s presence will not mind even if He did not follow them into the coming year. That is why they go to spend the last hours of a preceding year and the first hours of a new year in a club houses or a drinking spot.
Our devotional text made it clear that if His presence goes with us God will give us rest. He will give us rest from sicknesses and diseases, rest from lack and poverty, rest from insecurity and depression, rest from satanic attacks and oppression. It is impossible for Satan’s pressures to overcome you when God’s presence is with you! That is why it is important to do what Moses did. He made it clear to God that if His presence will not go with them, God should not take them further.
Sadly, many have been leading their lives without the presence of God. That is why they are depressed, oppressed, unhappy, and all the wrong keep happening to them. God’s presence may not prevent the evil from coming, but it will glorify God when it comes by dealing with it to our amazement.
It is God’s presence that blesses us in the City and in the Country. It is God’s presence that will make those who rise against us to fall for our sake. It is the presence of God that makes our enemies our elevators. It is the presence of God that makes a table for us in the presence of our enemies.
There will be storms in 2020. We do not need a prophet to tell us that. In fact do not let anyone deceive you about it either; there will be storms, However, it is God’s presence that will make sure the storms do not carry us any other way other than His desired place for our lives. If we get deeply rooted in Christ, the storms the enemy may through at us will be used by Heaven to bring us to God’s desired place for our lives.
WE MUST WATCH AGAINST TRANSITING OUTSIDE THE TRUE PRESENCE OF THE LORD!
When it comes to stepping into a new, please do it not in a synagogue of Satan but in a local Church that carries the presence of the LORD. Many times, the presence of our enemies is not really our problem. Our problem is the absence of the presence of God.
The difference between your success and failure as a Kingdom Citizen in 2019 will not be determined by how much you will work towards it alone in 2020 but how you will treat the presence of God also. If you will respect His presence, God will elevate you. But if you will despise His, presence He will be inactive even when the enemy is tearing you into pieces.
Because of the things I see coming in 2020, our success in the new year will be determined by how we treat God’s manifest presence.
As we exhaust the last days of 2019, make this devotional word of Moses your meditation and prayer, and use it as an anchor scripture to seek His presence. Stepping into 2020 without the presence of the LORD will ruin and not raise you in the new Year.
As people move to club houses and drinking spots to be ushered into the New Year by hell, you should get into a closet with God or with people that have found a peg in God’s Holy Place.
