TODAY’S DEVOTION (Friday 3rd January 2020)
“For My Angel will go before you and bring you in to the Amorites and the Hittites and the Perizzites and the Canaanites and the Hivites and the Jebusites; and I will [a]cut them off.
You shall not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do according to their works; but you shall utterly overthrow them and completely break down their sacred pillars.
“So you shall serve the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you.
No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days. Exodus 23:23-26 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 3RD DAY OF OUR YEAR OF REJOICING
I felt strong in my spirit to continue with the flow of yesterday. That is why you find us using the same devotional text. The LORD God strongly admonished us in yesterday’s devotion to spend each day of OUR YEAR OF REJOICING fulfilling it, not just counting it.
David wrote so many wonderful Psalms, but Moses was not a David in writing Psalms unto the LORD. So, you cannot find many Psalms that he wrote. But there is this one he wrote saying something very profound. It was more of a prayer to God. Do not forget he was a man of deep intimacy.
Men of deep intimacy speak or write words that sound like prayers. When you encounter them in Spirit and in Truth, they spark something within you. That is why you cannot read Psalm 90 and come out without something burning in you if you have the Spirit of God in you.
So, Moses wrote this Psalm saying unto the LORD “So, teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom” (Psalm 90:12 NKJV). Raw king James says teach us to number our days that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
You can not fulfill each day if you do not have some Heavenly wisdom to apply your heart Unto. That is one major essence of this Prophetic Devotionals. This is a year to spend on your knees. That is one Heavenly wisdom to apply our hearts unto today.
Now, when we say the knee, we are not just referring to the prayer knee. There are seven major knees in the Kingdom of God. Five are unknown to many in our generation but two are a bit known.
The two that are a bit known are the prayer and the service knees.
Yesterday God made it clear that one way to fulfill our days is to spend each day serving the prophetic purpose behind our being here on earth in a time like this. That was God calling on us to spend this year bowing the service knee to Him – we are to spend our days bowing it down on the altar of His will, ways, and purposes. That is how our days can be fulfilled.
SO TODAY WE WILL BE LOOKING AT THE MYSTERY OF BOWING THE SERVICE KNEE TO THE LORD!
The world is full of invisible forces that do so many terrible things in the lives of men. But I have never seen these forces ultimately destroy the lives of those bowing the service knee to the LORD. That explains why this was the first knee God requested Israel to bow to Him after coming out of Egypt. The Bible says:
And the Lord spoke to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh and say to him, ‘Thus says the Lord: “Let My people go, that they may serve Me. Exodus 8:1 NKJV
For 450 years the service knee of the Israelite had been bowing to the version of Baal that ancient Egypt worshiped. The served the Economic life of the nation of Egypt building Ramses for Pharaoh. They were slaves to the evil system.
For all that time they were bowing the service knee to what the service knee was not originally designed to bow to. The result was what we now know as Egyptian Slavery.
That tells me that if my service knee is bowing to the wrong system or whatever it was not designed to bow to, it will result in captivity in my life. People are suffering under demonic yokes for bowing their service knees to what God never designed them to bow to. The Bible says in the Book of Revelation:
“You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created.” Revelation 4:11 NKJV
If you were created by GOD, you need to take this scripture very seriously. If you did not just fall from the sky but was born by a woman, take this scripture seriously. This scripture made it clear that we were created for God’s pleasure. We were created to do, His pleasure.
Doing His pleasure involves serving His purposes and will.
That connects us to yesterday’s devotional emphasis. It involves bowing the service knee to HIM alone and not any other god. That tells me, God created us to bow our service knees to Him alone. He designed them to be exclusively His because we were created for His pleasure not ours.
Sadly, so many people spend their days in dispute with this prophetic truth. That is why so many lives are broken and shattered. If you dispute with the fact that you were created not for your pleasure but God’s pleasure, especially by going about doing your own thing and not bordering yourself with his own thing, you are contending with your maker. Isaiah said:
“Woe to him who strives with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth! Shall the clay say to him who forms it, ‘What are you making?’ Or shall your handiwork say, ‘He has no hands’? Isaiah 45:9 NKJV
YOU FIND PEOPLE WITH EARTHLY SUCCESS TREATING GOD LIKE A NONEXISTENCE BEING BUT HONORING THE DEVIL.
You find so many even in Church striving with the will and ways of the LORD! You find many churches grooming youths to serve what look like God but not really God. You find so many bowing the service knee to counterfeits in Church resulting in an emptiness in their lives.
You cannot be blessed striving with the creator of Heaven and earth. You cannot be blessed even in a year of REJOICING like this living according to your pleasure. You must learn to bow your knees to the one and only true GOD.
Our knees were designed to bow to Him. And like I said earlier, there are seven knees in the Kingdom – seven knees of a kingdom Citizen. I will preach about that in the days to come. The service knee is one and we are to bow it to the LORD doing His pleasure. If we strive with Him and not bow it to Him, we will bow it to other gods. There is no middle ground. You can now see why many lives are broken down.
Who you bow your knee to determines what happens in your life.
If your knees are bowed to GOD, GOD will be happening in your life constantly and if they are bowed to the enemy, darkness will be happening in your life consistently. The choice in ours to make.
No one starts a journey with GOD and see His promises manifest in His life if his knees are not sincerely bowed to the one and Only God. When we crossed over to the new year, we started a journey with the LORD.
It is a journey with the LORD not a journey with man, so we are not to spend any day of the YEAR OF REJOICING bowing our knees to other gods – to Baals, Asherah, the god of gold, or the god of self. We are to spend every day bowing our knees – especially the service knee – to the one and only true GOD and serving Him only.
The Bible made it clear that If we do not do that, it will not be a year of rejoicing as God has said but a year of sorrowing. A major highlight in our devotional text today says:
“You shall not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do according to their works; but you shall utterly overthrow them and completely break down their sacred pillars.
“So you shall serve the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you. No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.”
LOOKING AT THIS SCRIPTURE INTENTLY, WHAT DO YOU SEE?
For me I see the blessing of bowing our service knees to the LORD – I MEAN THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE GOD – in this scripture. It ranges from the Blessing of Divine HEALTH, to the blessings of supernatural economic empowerment. It went on to the blessing of not having any type of miscarriage. Do not forget what we shared yesterday on miscarriage.
The scripture made it clear that if our service knees are bowed to the LORD, He will be an enemy to our enemies, bless us with divine health, prevent the curse of miscarriage from resting on us, make us fruitful in the land and successful in whatever He has called us to do, then help us fulfill our days, among other things.
As we bring this to a close, I want you to understand that these days it has become difficult to know who the one and only true GOD is since there are now so many false prophetic hearings affirming so many strange gods and presenting them as true.
A lot of people with false prophetic hearing systems gets affirmations from true but ignorant Children of GOD.
Now here is the problem, when true but ignorant people affirm with is not of GOD, anyone under their influence will believe their lie. But God has decreed that the days of the prosperity of falsehood are over.
People will no longer be allowed to bow their knees to other gods and come out with terrible spiritual attacks in their lives. God will begin to defeat the lies that has kept the knees of people bowed to these demons that are parading themselves as divine.
LET THIS SCRIPTURE BE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR YOUR LIFE TODAY:
“And they shall no longer be a prey for the nations, nor shall beasts of the land devour them; but they shall dwell safely, and no one shall make them afraid.
I will raise up for them a garden[a] of renown, and they shall no longer be consumed with hunger in the land, nor bear the shame of the Gentiles anymore.
Thus they shall know that I, the LORD their God, am with them, and they, the house of Israel, are My people,” says the Lord GOD.’ “You are My flock, the flock of My pasture; you are men, and I am your God,” says the Lord GOD. Ezekiel 34:28-31 NKJV
