THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (TUESDAY 7th January 2020)

“And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” Genesis 2:18 NKJV

WELCOME TO THE 7TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF REJOICING

We are already in the seventh day of the first 20 years of this century. 2020 is a foundation year. It is a gateway into another decade.

Like I shared on Sunday, this is a year that God will do so much to lay the foundation of things that are bound to happen on earth within the next ten years. It is therefore a unique year that you should not take lightly!

There are a lot of things that are not good to be done this year. It might have been good to do them last year, and it could be alright to do them next year, but it is not good to do them this year. That brings us to message in our devotional text today.

You see, except for a season, if God says it is not good to be alone, you will be foolish to say it is good to be alone. And if GOD says it is good to be alone, it will be foolish of us to say the opposite. Do not forget there was a time Adam was alone. Except to hang on alone with God, it is good to be alone.

Only those who have found GOD while alone with HIM are ideal to have people in their lives. They are the only ones that it is not good to keep alone. They need people they can lead or guide to the LORD that they have found. That is why we will be sharing one other thing you will need this YEAR OF REJOICING to fully position for the next decade. That thing is Right Relationships!

I GREW UP TO DISCOVER THAT FAITH AND OBEDIENCE ARE THE CURRENCIES OF THE SPIRIT. BUT RELATIONSHIP IS THE CURRENCY OF THE EARTH.

Right relationships are the bridge upon which all things flow. You may not have money but if you have right people in your life, especially men and women who GOD designed to love and care for you during critical times, friend you are rich.

After having a good pastor over your life as a child of God, the next most important thing to ask the LORD to give you this year is right people – people He has designed your destiny to meet in other to be unlocked. Yes, God use people to unlock our divine destiny. He uses them to fulfill promises in our lives.
The Bible says at one time He gave Cyrus, an Iranian King, to Israel as a gift to rebuild Jerusalem. You cannot believe it!

Today the two nations are on each other’s throat. I have come to realize that God can even use someone you are not at peace with to keep you in perfect peace. He uses people to unleash His programs in the lives of others.

You must have such eventful personalities in your life in the next decade.

The greatest blessing you can have on earth is GOD surrounding you with the right people. That is why a good family, among other, is one of the greatest blessing one can have on earth. But the fall-down-and-die gospel has helped the devil in destroying many families.

Let me share something that you may not agree with me. You see, you cannot do without a family tie. It may be a good family toe or a bad one. The tie may be used to torture and take you to Egypt like it happened to Joseph, or to take you to the throne. Irrespective of how good or evil the tie may be, God can use it to raise and fulfill His word in your life.

That tells me, having a bad family does not hinder the favored of the LORD from succeeding. It rather boosts their chances to succeed in life.

We have been looking at the wisdom to apply our hearts unto in 2020, and a lot has been shared. A heart that is empty of divine wisdom is like a vehicle without a good engine. It will not run well. In the same way, your life will not run well if you lack heavenly wisdom to apply your heart to.

One major aspect of Heavenly wisdom that was conspicuously revealed in the book of genesis is the wisdom of not being alone in life. That is one of the important wisdom to apply your heart unto in 2020 – OUR YEAR OF REJOICING.

HAVING THE RIGHT PEOPLE AROUND WILL BE REQUIRED IN EVERY JOURNEY OF LIFE. WITHOUT THE RIGHT PEOPLE AROUND, YOU WILL DIMINISH.

I said before that you will need people to become a person. Now am saying, you will need the right people around you to become the right person GOD created you to become within this decade.

You will need people Heaven have designed from the foundation of the world to be part of your life for you to become the person Heaven have designed you to be from the foundation of the world. If you do not know that, and run your life within this decade that way, you will cut off every flow of good God intent bringing to you.

For instance, there are people whose lives where mingled and shapeless when they came to the Cry of the Spirit. I wished took their pictures. Some look as if they were dying the next day. But the Holy Ghost took over their lives and beautify them. That is what a right people deposit in your life. God will use them to stop the devil and enhance His will in your life.

Foolishness when some people become established by the hand of the right people that God used in reaching them, their real colors image. They begin to act very bad. Like in our case these people cannot even share a post I write. They cultivate and independent mind and give glory to God without giving honor to those He used.

Friend, God is not against honoring those He used in rescuing you from devils. If He were Jesus would not have asked for the remaining 9 who did not return to say thank you in the story of the ten lepers, He healed.

God use men to bless men! If you give glory to the GOD who blessed you alone and wickedly refuse to acknowledge those, He used in ministering to you, by honoring them, it will not be long, you will need them again. Ask King Jeroboam in the case of Prophet Ahijah. And from that Bible template, you will be sorry when you will need them. That is God’s way of allowing your wickedness to correct you.

WE MUST LEARN TO ORDER OUR CONDUCT ALRIGHT!

Our devotional text today said; “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” This scripture has more to do with marital relationships.

The wisdom in the scripture was what led to the creation of family or marriage. But life has made it clear that one can be married and still be alone.

Yes, if you get married to a death partner instead of a life partner, you will still be alone. So, when we say we need people to become a person we are not referring to everyone on the street. We are referring to right people.

Basically, a Child of God needs three types of human relationships to succeed in GOD’s plans and purposes for his life. He will need (1) People who are more than him or his superiors, (2) He will need people at his level or his colleagues, and (s) He will need people beneath him.

Now here is the wisdom of God; you need to relate with the superior (people who have gone ahead of you in everything that concerns your destiny) at the first level. Then you relate with people at your level, and then people beneath you. Without the application of this wisdom, you may never arrive at your divinely determined destiny.

Time to spend the year asking the LORD for right people. Right people are birth on the prayer knee not with a talking mouth. They come when we spend quality time with the LORD asking for them. So, you must pray for them!

However, in your prayer for right people, you must be friendly, accommodating, loving, generous, forgiving, kind and merciful when dealing with people. You must not be a liar, one with a foul mouth, a hater, a gossip, a slanderer, a wicked and crafty person, a blackmailer, or whatever keeps right people away. You must cultivate the spirit that attracts and keeps right people with destiny people. You must not be morally bankrupt!

It is part of Heavenly wisdom not be alone. It is foolishness to be in solitary for too long. That is why God will first destroy the spirit of being in solitary before bringing you into prosperity. Psalm 68:5-6 is clear on that.

MAY THE SCRIPTURE BE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR YOU TODAY!

“A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy habitation. God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity; But the rebellious dwell in a dry land.” Psalms 68:5-6 NKJV
