TODAY’S DEVOTION (Tuesday 3rd March 2020)
“And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:4-5 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 63rd DAY OF OUR YEAR OF REJOICING
Welcome to the third day of the third month of this foundation year of the next decade. Three in prophetic numerology represents the God head. It also represents resurrection. Jesus was crucified and buried, but on the third day He rose again.
You see, resurrection is the bedrock of the Christian faith! That is why there cannot be genuine salvation until a man encounters the resurrection power of Jesus Chris spirit soul and body.
The power of the Holy Ghost is a resurrection power. It can bring a dead marriage back to life. It can bring dead organs in anyone’s body back to life. It can revive a business, a backsliding soul, a dying Church, or family. If it falls in line with GOD’s will, any dead body can be brought back to life. That is one thing we learnt from the coning back to life of Lazarus in john 11.
The greatest comeback will be on the day of the rapture of the saints. That is the final day that God’s resurrection power will be on duty on the earth as we know it. Paul put it this way.
“Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption.
Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.
For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
So, when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written:
“Death is swallowed up in victory.” “O[n] Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?” 1 Corinthians 15:50-55 NKJV
This is the greatest even the world will see. And one thing God’s grace does is to help us prepare and look forward to it. Paul made that clear in his letter to Titus.
If you look at the scripture carefully, you will understand that resurrection power is God’s tool for dealing with the gates of hell, death, and grave. And since these three gates are the major gates responsible for all human problems, the resurrection power of Jesus Christ is therefore the final solution to all human problems.
IT IS OUR PROTECTIVE HEDGE AGAINST CORONA OR ANY OTHER VIRUS. I HAVE SEEN THIS POWER MAKE EVEN DEAD AND BARREN WOMBS CONCEIVE.
It was the power that brought Lazarus back to life as stated earlier. That was after being in the grave for four days. It was the power that healed the sick, casted out demons. It was the same power that touched a young Roman soldier (the only Son of his mother) that died in battlefield in the days of Christ.
He was on His way for burial. The power touched him when Jesus touched the coffin and brought Him back to life. That is why I don’t like people touching me when I need help. I just withdraw to my prayer room for Jesus to touch me. Only His touch can make the difference. If it can bring a dead and embalmed corpse to life, then it can bring any change in my life situations.
You see, anything Jesus touches comes back to life! Except you are not in the right Church, whatever Jesus touches lives. We have seen Him do wonders at the Cry of the Spirit Ministries. Last Sunday we heard from many couples how He touched their marriages that were on the way to the grave using His teachings and unction in the ministry.
On the young man Jesus raised, history has it that he had been embalmed. In those days virtually all vital organs of the body are removed during embalmment. So, what was in that coffin was like a shell of human flesh. But the one who created man and breathed into Him to become a living being was the very person that touched the coffin, and the resurrection power brought the man back to life!
It replaced all his vital organs and gave him his life again. I hope he used it to serve the LORD before dying again.
You see, with God all things are possible but with men not everything is possible. God’s resurrection power is the answer to all our problems. That is why God wants our faith to be built on His power and not the wisdom of men. Our devotional text said,

IF YOU LISTEN TO SECULAR HUMANISM BEING PEDDLED AS THE GOSPEL, YOUR FAITH WILL BE BUILT IN THE WISDOM OF MEN
This insight came from my personal experiences and the blessed words of God’s apostle of grace, Paul, that forms our devotional text today. A lot of preachers are now motivational preachers, who engage in such trips just for the money. They no longer die the death that is required to bring a word from GOD’s throne.
Whenever I take a closer look at the book of Acts and the apostolic letters, I see how far our church generation has departed from the faith that was once delivered to us. I see how we have become different from the early church.
The apostles were not preaching the gospel most of us preach today. They were not preaching persuasive words of men’s wisdom or secular humanism. They were demonstrating the Spirit and the resurrection power of God. But today, when we preach, we demonstrate the flesh and a form of godliness that has no resurrection power. That is why at best we lubricate their faces with oil, serve them some unholy holy communion, wash their feet and push some down under what we call ‘anointing.’
We do not know that there are people whose lives are full of breaches; folks that will not let God’s power do a work in them because their hearts are not right towards Him or others. Our job is to transform those hearts, if they are willing, bringing God’s glory products down.
But when we display this form of godliness that has no power as spiritual leaders, even true seekers of God will remain the same under our ministries.
Friend, if your life is barren, poor, sick, sad, oppressed, dead or dying, there is one answer God made available in His word. It is not olive oil in a bottled, holy water, prayer clothes, candles, praying salt, or mats. It is not any prayer chalets given by charlatans and impostors behind pulpit. It is the resurrection power of Jesus Christ!
THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT POWER IS AVAILABLE EVERY DAY, EVEN RIGHT NOW AS YOU READ THIS.
That is the power you need to plug in, to quench the evil flame that may have been kindled in your health, marriage, finances, ministry, family, destiny, or even your relationship with God.
Yes, an evil flame can be kindled in a person’s relationship with God.
Samson had an evil flame of sex and seduction kindled in his relationship with God. The result was lost of his sight and public humiliation. When an evil flame is kindled in your relationship with God, you will begin to live in sin. You will not be able to maintain a close walk with God. It will become a threat to your divine destiny. But God’s resurrection power is available to quench any evil flame in your life. Just ask for it. Develop your faith for it. If you are truly hungry and thirsty enough for it, you shall be filled.
When Jesus manifest Himself to you as the resurrection and life, power will be released into your life extinguishing any evil flames. But that will never happen until you seek Him. Yes, you must seek him with all your heart not some of your heart. If you seek Him with all your heart, you will find Him.
