THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (Thursday 13TH August 2020)

“Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” Genesis 1:26 NKJV

WELCOME TO THE 224TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF REJOICING

It is another glorious day from the LORD – the 13th day of our 50 days wings of the Spirit. I believe strongly, before we were born, this week has been created. It is New to us but not new to the ancient of days. He created it in Genesis Chapter one, but it manifested now.

The week is glorious because the LORD said from the beginning that everything, He created was exceptionally good, this week inclusive. You are therefore setting your feet on an exceptionally good day. Bad things should not be expected in your life today. Expect the best of GOD.

I am not saying bad things may not happen, but I said do not expect them. Glorious things are spoken concerning all of GOD’s children. We are to expect glorious things today. Expectation is the mother of manifestations.

In the kingdom, we do not expect what God did not originally create. Though people do have a bad day, God did not originally create a bad day. So do not expect one.

BUT WHY DO BAD THINGS HAPPEN IN DAYS GOD CREATED TO BE EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD?

Why do people die while God created us to live forever? Why do people get sick while God created mankind to be healthy and strong? Why are people due for marriage and not found it coming? Why are people married and yet regretting ever getting married?

Why do others get married properly but no Child in the marriage? Why is it that goats do not attend deliverance services to get what to eat, or become pregnant but men do? Why are people poor while mankind was not created poor?

There are a lot of questions that life throws at us, without even giving us the space to get the answers. Outside Christ, you will always find an earthly life full of questions. At best, you will find answers that are not satisfactory. But in Christ, you will always find an earthly life full of accurate answers.

God never created our lives to be full of questions. He never created it to have any problem. He planted mankind in a realm full of Heavenly portals, with one river of life that parted into four river heads flowing to water his garden.

Life was that beautiful until we lost our place in that realm. We lost God’s instrument of survival given to us to live on earth and fulfill His purpose. But thank God for His manifestation as Jesus Christ, that brought everything back to normal.

He brought back what He gave us in the beginning in His pre incarnate form. Our devotional text said, “Let them have dominion over.” He brought back dominion.

Mankind was created to have dominion over all other created and even fallen things. The reason is, man was created to function on earth as Son (or offspring) of God. God is sovereign king, so His son must also be a king, but ruling as His regent in an extended kingdom under His rulership. The earth happens to be the extended kingdom.

The word dominion connotes Kingdom, Power, control, authority, territory, command, dominance etc. When God said to mankind “have Dominion.” He was appointing us to be His deputies or regents on earth. The primary purpose was for us to offer Him worship and serve Him at His pleasure on the face of the earth.

THAT WAS WHAT MADE SATAN JEALOUS, HENCE COMING TO INSTIGATE OUR FALL.

Prophetically speaking, DOMINION was a product of “An extension of God’s Kingdom from Heaven to earth.” That again but stress the fact that man was the regent of God on earth, operating with a supernatural power and authority from Heaven, with everything under his command on earth.

When David saw it, he screamed in amazement saying,

“When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:” Psalm 8:3-6 KJV

This was the glorious state that the LORD of the Earth Created and placed us in until sin entered humanity. When sin entered, death also followed, bringing this beautiful life to an end.

However, as earlier stated, God manifested in Christ Jesus, became a man, died on the cross, redeemed man back to the original state, and poured His Holy Spirit upon us to make all He did on the cross, manifest in our lives.

That is why today, when the Kingdom of God extends from Heaven to earth, either in a Church service in the Hall or in the house as we are having it now, it will restore a repented soul back to the realm of dominion – the control room God built for man to operate on earth from.

This tells us why the King Himself (Jesus Christ), when He was physically on earth, made the restoration of dominion His primary assignment on earth. If you read the Bible, you will come across the story where He met a man with no dominion over blindness, resulting in loss of his eyesight, receiving dominion from the LORD.

The Bible says Jesus asked him, “What do you want me to do for you?” The man responded, “that I may see.” Then Jesus reached out and restored the man’s dominion over blindness to him with these words “begin to see.

HE MET ANOTHER WITH NO DOMINION OVER PREMATURE DEATH.

This one had been dead for four days and was even buried. But his sisters were in great pain, and this man and family were friends to Jesus. Then one of the sisters, who knew Jesus well, said to Him, “Master if you were here my brother would not have died.”

She made the statement because she had seen Him restore dominion over sickness to all kinds of sick people, leading to their healing.

But Jesus said to her, it is not late. Your brother will live again. But she, not understanding the moments that had come upon her, responded, “Yes, he will live but on the resurrection day.” She was referring to a futuristic event taught then in Judaism and now in Christianity, that will take place any moment from now.

However, the response Jesus gave to her, was revealing. Jesus said to her. “I am the resurrection and life. He that believe in me, though He were dead yet shall he live.”

That was profound! It tore a veil from her heart. While she was talking about the future, Jesus was talking about the present. Suddenly the woman knew, “resurrection was not a Day but a person.” It is the person that makes the day a Day of resurrection. Jesus was, and still is, the Resurrection and the Life. Hallelujah!

That day, dominion over premature death was restored to the dead man, and he came out of the grave alive. Jesus literally called him out of the grave, and he responded by coming back to life.

Friend, there are voices, and there are voices.

Only the voice of the LORD can change things positively in the lives of men. The Bible says it is full of power. It has capacity to transmit dominion over every created thing back to man.

IF YOU LACK DOMINION IN AN AREA OF LIFE, THE VOICE OF THE LORD IS THE ONLY FORCE THAT CAN RESTORE IT BACK TO YOU.

If you are sick, you need dominion over that illness. If you are poor, you need dominion over lack and poverty. I have said this repeatedly that Poverty is always because of power failure.

When God’s power and dominion over lack is absent in a man’s economic life, he will become poor over time. At best, he will go after the prosperity of the wicked to fill in the gap. Dominion has been the missing ingredient in the life of the poor.

It has been the missing ingredient in the life of the sick, the depressed, the oppressed, and all with any kind of problems.

It is the missing ingredient in the life of those who are due for marriage but it’s not forth coming, due for promotion but it’s not forth coming, due for Children but they are not forth coming, due for glorious things, but they are still stuck to the gory.

Dominion and power from Heaven are the ingredient that will change your life completely! If you do not have a God given dominion or power in your life, you will be dominated by the evil one. Dominion is our survival and success instrument on earth. If you lack it, survival will become a difficult thing, and success in any area of life, the hardest thing to achieve.

Make this 50 DAYS WINGS OF THE SPIRIT, among other things, your season of seeking to establish our God given dominion over any area of your life that may need it. The access or activation code remains the voice of GOD. Seek His voice as we hear His word from the pages of the scriptures.

People who will not catch the voice of the LORD in the word of the LORD, the Bible, will never rise in dominion. People, who just run after prophets instead of sitting down with the written word of the LORD until they contact the spoken word, will never step into dominion in the spirit. They will be exploited and dominated!

Friend, this is the time to sit down with people who sit with the God of the Bible by siting with His Bible to encounter His Voice until the Day Star rises in their hearts.

MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY

“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” Joshua 1:8 NKJV
