THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (Monday 31ST August 2020)

“THE LORD said to Moses, Command the Israelites that they put outside the camp every leper and everyone who has a discharge, and whoever is defiled by [coming in contact with] the dead.

“Both male and female you shall put out; without the camp you shall put them, that they may not defile their camp, in the midst of which I dwell.

The Israelites did so, and put them outside the camp; as the Lord said to Moses, so the Israelites did.” Numbers 5:1-4 AMP

WELCOME TO THE 242ND DAY OF OUR YEAR OF REJOICING

Today, we will continue our discourse of having the right person in your life.

Let me begin with what the Bible teaches about death. Please don’t be sacred. Everyone knows death as an occurrence. But those who are akin with the spirit realm know death as “a spirit.” The Bible also teaches that people can function as messengers of death.

In other words, we can say death is an occurrence, death is a spirit, and death can be a person who generates activities that can result in the termination of something that peaceful, blissful and blessed to one’s life.

In the light of that, a gossip, a betrayer, a liar, one with an evil tongue, or a hater can be called messengers of death. In fact, the Bible equates hate with murder. It says,

“whosoever hate his brother is a murderer that eternal life does not abide in him” (1 John 3:15 NKJV).

Messengers of death, therefore, are not just the well-known ones like assassins, wicked politicians, drunken drivers, people who can kill when their anger gets out of control, witch doctors or even some preachers who use Baal for ministry.

Yes, not just these ones or the abortionist who kill the unborn, but messengers of death are also relationships that are capable of using their tongue and unkind actions, to bring something that breeds joy, peace, bliss and blessings in someone’s life to an end.

Even those who kill one’s desire to love and to be of help to the helpless, falls into this class of messengers of death. That is why the subject of having the RIGHT PEOPLE in a one’s life is so important.

Now, talking about having the Right people in our lives, there was a divine instruction God gave to the nation of Israel under the law that will help add to our wisdom bank on the subject this morning. It was an Old Testament code of conduct so long as health life was concern.

TO HELP OUR UNDERSTANDING OF IT, I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE THIS WITH US.

Often in our Apostolic and Prophetic Training Services, I have always said that people who have been zombified to treat the Old Testament as a done away part of the Bible need help. The Books of the Old Testament are the mother and father of the New Testament.

In fact, the early Church had no Bibles. They were literally preaching from what we know today as the Old Testament. The question is, what did they know about that part of the Bible in their days that we do not know today, especially in our days? The answer is, alot!

First, they knew that the central truth of the Old Testament is “knowing God.” That is why the Central Truth of all their activities and Teachings compiled into what we call the New Testament remains, “knowing God.”

For us today, the Old Testament is the former rain of God upon humanity, and the New Testament the Later rain, because God promised that He will give the former and the later rain in our days.

I will share more on this maybe today evening during the 31st session of our 50 DAYS WINGS OF THE SPIRIT.

Neglecting the Old Testament therefore is rejecting the former rain. One rain will not be enough for the precious fruits of the earth to be reaped into the kingdom. We therefore need the Old Testament.

Secondly, they knew that the only difference between the Old Testament and the New Testament lies in this simple prophetic Truth, which says, “The Old Testament is the will of God concealed and the New Testament is the will of God revealed.

You cannot understand what is revealed until you discover what was concealed.” I have shared these things repeatedly both in the media and our training services!

All these tell us that a Christian generation that is not familiar with the Old Testament will not be established in the doctrine of the new.

That is why we have false and heretic teachers everywhere today. Impostors and ministers of a so-called gospel, operating under the anti-Christ spirit, most of the very people that have been commanding the greatest attention and having visibility to catch the perishing into their nets.

BUT PROPHECIES HAS IT THAT THEY WILL PROGRESS NO FURTHER, BECAUSE THE SPIRITUAL TIDE HAS CHANGED!

Sadly, the Old Testament, as important as it is, is only acceptable to this breed of zombified saints when talking about giving, like first fruits, compulsory tithing, not appearing before a man of God empty handed, etc. Every other portion is not important.

Obviously, they resist the Old Testament because of the demand it places on their morality and embrace only portions that will keep them smiling to the bank. That is satanic and at the same time horrific!

Having shared this, let us now go to the divine instruction I wanted to unveil to us. Our devotional text today is full of revelation truths concealed. A major highlight in it contains the instruction I am referring to. It says,

“THE LORD said to Moses, Command the Israelites that they put outside the camp every leper and everyone who has a discharge, and whoever is defiled by [coming in contact with] the dead. Both male and female you shall put out; without the camp you shall put them, that they may not defile their camp, in the midst of which I dwell.”

What is the will of God that was concealed in this instruction?

First, leprosy represents sin. God was saying exactly what Paul wrote to the Church at Corinth to do. He said to them that they should have no fellowship or relationship with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral, greedy, and covetous. He said they should not even eat with them.

That is the same as putting the leprous person out of the camp.

SECONDLY, THOSE WHO HAVE A DISCHARGE SHOULD ALSO BE PUT OUTSIDE THE CAMP! HOW DOES THAT APPLY TODAY?

There is a group of Christians in Church today who have capacity to discharge unclean spirits and habits, and every other thing that desecrate, into others wherever they go or dwell. They are exceptionally smooth in speech and in operation. They appear so innocent, caring, and nice, unlike some of us. They look so harmless.

I remember the few that were once in our local church here in Nairobi. We all thought they were the kindest people on earth. But when I began to realize that anyone who relates with them leaves the Church or backslides, I began to say to myself, “wait minute, who are these?”

It took me a long time to find out that they fall into the class of people that should be outside that camp – people with discharge.

Thank God, when the LORD saw that I was slow at making the ideal move to put them outside the camp, He chased them away by giving them reasons to leave. He left few for me to chased away myself.

People that cause a discharge are more dangerous than leprous people. The reason is because leprous people can be easily known but these ones cannot be easily known. They are good at not keeping their rank.

Most of them are like snakes and vipers behind, but innocent sheep of the LORD before everyone. They look like people who are not capable of making any statement before you, but behind you they will do and say things that will make you doubt if they were the ones that really said such things, when you find out.

There are those of this sect who are even more dangerous. When they successfully plant themselves in your life, something filthy will begin to get transmitted into your life. They function as Satan’s transmission lines.

They are responsible for moving filthy habits and spirits from the pit of hell to the lives of the perishing and those who are being saved.

WHEN THEY FUNCTION AS TRANSMISSION LINES OF THE EVIL ONE, THEY DESECRATE THE CONSECRATED.

A young man once called to tell me how the leader of his church choir became his best friend, and later wooed him into his private residence only to commit homosexual act with him. He warned him after the act not to tell anyone, else he dies.

So many are having constant sexual relationships with whoever they can find in their local churches primarily to defile and desecrate them. People who do these and other despicable things to others, are called people with a discharge by the LORD.

May you not be in the same Church with them.

The worst is when a pastor, or any other church head becomes one of them. He or she will be desecrating your life just by you sitting under him or her to be led, or to hear the gospel they preach.

Friend, there are pastors, prophets, prophetess, and apostles, that if you sit under, you stand the risk of receiving unclean spirits and sinful habits from. They are like corona virus spiritually. The only way out is maintaining the spiritual distance that is required – leaving such Churches.

The last phrase to decode in that highlight from our devotional text speaks of those who defiled themselves by touching the dead.

What truth did God conceal in that instruction?

You see, the dead are people in our local Churches who claim saved but are cut off from the life of God – the lost sinners inside the Church. The dead are also those who are unsaved outside the church circle that we must not be equally yoked together with.

How do you touch the dead or get defiled by them? You touch the dead or get defiled by them when you relate with them closely. When you do, they defile you by killing your morality, dedication to God, desire to defend a righteous course or live a holy life.

For instance, Samson’s relationship with Delilah was a defilement that is likened to touching the dead. You know, he lost the manifest presence of God because of it. You loose God’s manifest presence when you get defiled.

There are so many Christians today who cannot carry the manifest presence of GOD for even 30 minutes because they get defiled by the dead each time – people they are either married to, doing business together with, spending time together with, or even attending the same Church with.

TO HAVE THE RIGHT PERSON IN YOUR LIFE, YOU MUST CONSIDER THESE TRUTHS.

God sent them this morning to enable you discern the hearts of men and choose your friends wisely. Any leper, or one with a discharge, or a person who defiles himself with the dead that you are intimate with, will destroy you. They are always the reason so many are backward in their spiritual, and sometimes, financial life.

I related with people with a discharge for over 18 years in the first 35 years of my life on earth, so I know what I am sharing with you this morning. I discover that, sometimes Satan will not give you wrong people to destroy you. He will allow you to have many right people, then plant just one person with a terrible discharge, and place him or her remarkably close to you to destroy you.

You cannot be relating with these hidden messengers of death and then expect life to be sweet. It will never be sweet.

God is saying to you this morning, wake up from your slumber, and keep this kind of Christians away from your life and you will begin to see your life come up brighter and brighter. Things He may have promised you will begin to come to pass.

As we bid the month of August farewell, take this season to examine your life. If you find anyone who ought not to be in your life, one that the Bible said we should not even eat with, use this time to cut them off. It is called weeding!

LET THIS SCRIPTURE BE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR YOU TODAY:

“I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people. Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world.”

“But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner — not even to eat with such a person.

“For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? But those who are outside God judges. Therefore “put away from yourselves the evil person.” 1 Corinthians 5:9-13 NKJV
