TODAY’S DEVOTION (Monday 12th October 2020)
“Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, for you have robbed Me, even this whole nation.
Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it. Malachi 3:8-10 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 284th DAY OF OUR YEAR OF REJOICING
Today we will be looking at our finances, since money is a tool for serving GOD.
Every kingdom steward will agree that one area we must be schooled in, so long as the things of God’s economy for the righteous are concerned, is the area of our finances. We need to be schooled on how to walk in financial miracles in our walk and talk with God.
In God’s plans, He wants every of His Child to be able to work miracles instead of depend on some prophets and prophetesses to do that for them. He designed the Christian life to produce miracles for whoever lives the life.
If you are not therefore working out miracles as a child of God, it means the life you are living might not be a Christian life.
The Bible says,
“And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Mark 16:17-18 NKJV
God designed the Christian life to leave miracles as a trail. He never designed it to follow miracles. In other words, if we say we are born again, miracles should be following us, we should not be the ones following miracles. We should not be the ones running after this man or the other man of God for miracles.
If you have a pastor who is teaching you to depend on his prayer for a miracle, he is the wrong man to be under. You are being rendered spiritually impotent. He is not doing a pastoral assignment. He is emasculating you! Pastoral assignment will involve planting righteous seeds into your life to work miracles yourself.
It will involve making the flock fruitful in the things of God.
You are not fruitful if you still depend on your pastor for miracle prayer! The Christians life was designed by GOD to be trailed by miracles not miseries. We will never walk constantly in the prosperity of the righteous except we walk constantly in financial miracles.
That is why revelation knowledge on money matters in the Kingdom is key.
IF THERE IS ANY ASPECT OF THE BIBLE THAT WE NEED TRUE AND UNTAINTED INTERPRETATION OF IT IS THE ASPECT OF MONEY.
Some preachers these days preaches anything that will keep them smiling to the bank. Hence, what they teach about money is stained with greed and covetousness. They present bias, unbalanced, and very dangerous theology to their ignorant audience.
That is why we must be properly schooled, especially at advanced level!
One major teaching about money in the kingdom that has been abused and stained with greed and covetousness is the teaching on Tithing.
Some now teach that if you do not tithe, you will not make Heaven. That is how bad it has become. Putting people in a panic mode to make money from them has become the ultimate practice of many in ministry.
I did a three-hour teaching on tithing, titled: THE GLORY OF THE COVENANT OF TITHING.
Many do not know that tithing is an act of worship that we give on the platform of a covenant relationship with God. It is an instrument of service that we do to ratify the covenant of wealth we have with GOD.
From the covenant, it’s clear that tithing is not a Heaven making practice. Tithing is a kingdom advance practice that will ultimately result in eternal rewards when we get to Heaven.
In other words, you get to Heaven through the redemption sacrifice and a life of righteousness steaming from the regeneration of the Holy Spirit. If you were a faithful tither on earth, you end a crown for the souls that got saved through your tithing. Period!
If there were no souls to saved and bills to pay to save them, I don’t think we will be tithing the way we do today. There would have been no need for tithe.
So, my tithe does not get me to heaven, it only rewards me with a crown when I get to Heaven. If tithing were a Heaven making practice, Jesus would have removed the thief on the cross from the cross, send him to go tithe, then take him to paradise after that.
PROPER AND FAITHFUL TITHING IS REQUIRED IN THE KINGDOM, BUT NOT FOR HEAVEN MAKING.
Now, talking about proper and faithful tithing, I want you to understand that, no one tithes, respecting the Covenant of Tithing, and not see the results God promised to tithers. God fulfills the promise because He knows when tithe falls in the hands of His true men, souls will be saved from hell So He blesses those who serve Him with it faithfully.
So if you have been tithing and you are still trapped in financial hardship, you have not been tithing according to the covenant that governs tithing. In fact, you may have been wasting your tithes!
For instance, the tithe is strong enough to erase all curses you may have inherited anywhere on the face of the earth. Our devotional text makes it clear that God will rebuke devourers away from our lives, not when we fast, pray, or do any other thing, but when we tithe.
What the present local Church ministers call curse, is a product of a devourer! Most illnesses, or sickness, diseases, stagnancy, and Curses are part of devourers. Any form of demonic attack is a devourer.
The word devourer captures all evil works from the gates of hell, and God said He will rebuke or erase them just by the power of tithing.
So if you have been tithing and your pastor is still chasing out demons out of your life, or asking you to sow another seed again to be free from any evil work, it means your tithe is being stolen from you. It is not being placed in God’s hands, hence not bearing fruits in your life.
NO ONE WHO TITHES ACCORDING TO THE COVENANT THAT GOVERNS TITHING FIGHTS ENEMIES AGAIN. GOD WILL JUST GIVE HIM REST.
The Bible says “faithful is He who has promised who also will do it” or perform His word in our lives! Hallelujah!
Yesterday, we spoke about having Heavenly portals opened over us internally and externally. One thing that opens portals over us, both internally and externally, is God’s faithfulness on faithful tithers. When the faithful God, meet His faithful ones, portals open over them.
A major highlight in our devotional text says,
Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it.
God says when we bring all the tithes to His house, faithfully, He will open portals over us and they will generate a blessing that there will be no room to keep. But many have been tithing and have not seen this promise perform in their lives.
Like we shared earlier, the reason is simple; we tithe outside the covenant of tithing, hence not reaping the blessings. If you want your tithes to be opening portals over your life, then you must tithe according to the Covenant not according to what your pastor may have been saying.
Most pastors say horrible things to their members when it comes to tithing.
They will say to them “you have stolen from God for not tithing” thereby giving a wrong interpretation to the words in the verse that reads “will a man rob God. Yet you have robbed me this whole nation”. Some will even call their members “thieves.” That is very sad!
Common sense should teach us that no one can steal from or rob God because He owns everything. You cannot even rob a president of a nation easily come to talk of robbing God.
So when God says “You have robbed me” He is saying you have robed me of seeing the rewards of tithing speaking in your life. But not understanding this revelation make pastors place curses on their members every Sunday.
THAT IS WHY I TELL PEOPLE, IF YOU PASTOR PREACHES THAT YOU ARE UNDER A CURSE FOR FAILING TO TITHE, LEAVE THAT CHURCH BECAUSE WE ARE NO LONGER UNDER THE LAW.
Under the law, you come under a curse for not tithing, but under grace you don’t. You hinder the arm of the LORD from pouring things in your life, thereby only robbing God of seeing the rewards of tithing speaking in your life. That is not a curse but a breach.
The bible says,
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us, for it is written curse is any man who hangs upon a tree, that the blessing of Abraham might come upon us the gentiles. (Read Galatians 3:13-14).
Abraham was not under the law when he gave tithes. He was under a covenant relationship with GOD. The way he gave tithes was different from the way Israel gave.
The law forced Israel to give, but LOVE made Abraham to give. The two systems are not the same. We belong to the Abrahamic system because we are not under the law.
Which means, the only way we can be blessed through tithing is to do it according to the covenant that governs it. Love is what motivates tithing under the covenant of tithing.
The opening of Heavenly Portals over our lives through tithing will never happen if we do not tithe according to the covenant.
Part of the covenant of Tithing implies that you fully understand the revelation of each word God spoke in Malachi 3:8-10.
For instance, the Bible says,
“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts,”
If you look at this scripture carefully you will understand that the tithe is to be brought to His house (His Church). Meaning, if the place is a “Crowd” by spiritual content instead of a “Church” your life will remain tithe in spite of your tithes. You will not be seen to have brought your tithe to His house.
Hence, Heavenly portals will remain closed over the works of your hands leading to suffering, in spite of tithing.
We can go on and on, but like I always share, this is a devotional and not a book. Just get the entire message on audio CD and sit down with Jesus to learn all about the covenant. You will not fail again in Jesus name!
A lot of manipulation is going on today in so many crowds called Churches in the area of tithing. Some intimidate the people to give, while others seduce them by giving the Oil or communion to take after tithing. Some others will anoint the people with Oil. That is really outside the covenant of tithing.
The only thing that should precede the receiving of tithes in an Assembly of God’s people is bread and wine served to the people. This has nothing to do with Holy Communion. Bread represents “rich spiritual food” and wine represents “the fresh energy of the Holy Spirit.” That was what Abraham received from Melchizedek symbolically before giving him tithes.
So if you tithe in a local church that is not imparting you with God’s bread and wine, before receiving your tithes, you will be sorry!
Sadly, most Churches that collects tithes are too dead spiritually to administer God’s present day bread and wine. They just collect the tithes from week to week, giving some Oil to drink or Holy Communion.
God wants us to come out of religious practices that do not edify.
LET THIS SCRIPTURE BE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR YOU TODAY;
“Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was the priest of God Most High. And he blessed him and said: “Blessed be Abram of God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth;
And blessed be God Most High, Who has delivered your enemies into your hand.” And he gave him a tithe of all. Genesis 14:18-20 NKJV
