TODAY’S DEVOTION (Saturday 17th October 2020)
“When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language,
Judah became His sanctuary, and Israel His dominion. The sea saw it and fled; Jordan turned back. The mountains skipped like rams, the little hills like lambs.
What ails you, O sea, that you fled? O Jordan, that you turned back? O mountains, that you skipped like rams? O little hills, like lambs?
Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob, Who turned the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a fountain of waters. Psalms 114:1-8 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 289th DAY OF OUR YEAR OF REJOICING
The zeal of the LORD for His Children is unquestionable. God has been faithful to us His Children. I give Him the glory for always disappointing the evil one and not allowing Him to have us as food.
He has indeed being so mindful of us.
We have received understanding and many of us are becoming spiritually discreet in handling the affairs of our lives. Especially during this lock down seasons. I would have shared some testimonies at this point but we will leave all that for another time.
God is indeed faithful! Each time He request that His people sit at His feet to learn, it is to enhance their walk and talk with Him, bring us into realms of living truths, and help us serve our generation according to His will.
One of the greatest and oldest moves of GOD on earth is the damaging of His ignorance in man.
That is why Children of God have spent their lives in every generation damaging the ignorance of God in them. Our generation must also do the same. We must become seekers of God, who spend their earthly days launching an all-out attack against spiritual illiteracy and ignorance of the things of GOD.
When we get to Heaven actually, we are going to spend eternity knowing GOD. So whatever we are doing now is rehearsals. Hallelujah!
The revelation of who God is cannot be exhausted. There are realms that even angels do not know. Heights, lengths and depths of revelations of who God is that are reserved for Sons only. If you do not believe that, here is what Paul said;
“But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 NKJV
These deep things are not known to angles because they reside in the inner most being of God; depths, heights and lengths that only His Spirit knows. The very things the Bible says He searches to make known to us.
If they were just lying on the surface of God, then there would have been no need for searching. Angels would have just picked them. But they are not.
THEY ARE RIGHT IN HIS DEPTHS. THAT IS WHY SEARCHING THEM OUT IS REQUIRED.
Apostle Paul further revealed the presence of these widths, lengths, depths and heights of revelation of who God is when he wrote saying;
“That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height — to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:17-19 NKJV
God has widths, depths, lengths, and heights of revelations that our mortal brains cannot comprehend. Until we depart from this lower life, and step into the Higher life of eternity with Christ, those depths cannot be comprehended by our mortal brains. But when we get there, we will know them as we are known by Him in this side of eternity.
However, there are some depths that we must comprehend in this side of eternity – things that the Holy Spirit has been assigned to teach us. These are the depths that the Holy Spirit enables us to comprehend by activating our mortal brains to understand. That is why He is called the Spirit of quick understanding.
In other words, the Spirit that quickens us to understand what we would not have understood on our own. The depths that the Holy Spirit have been assigned to teach us are portions that every Child of GOD must know and walk in.
Yes, they are dimensions of truth that everyone who call upon the name of the LORD must come into. However, many have not.
They rather sit in dark and empty places learning about curses, evil foundations, monitoring spirits and etc. They sit to learn the curriculum of the devil in the guise of “not being ignorant of his devices” thereby filling themselves with unnecessary warfare.
I did not see any place in the Bible where God lectured Abraham, in spite of his idolatrous background, about the very things people are taught in the name of deliverance today.
I did not see where the Holy Spirit lectured the early Church on evil foundations, ancestral curses, spirit husbands, and etc. They were all student of His glory. They were students of His glory hence having no issues with the unclean spirits we have issues with today.
They all sat down in His presence, beholding His beauty and enquiring at His Heavenly temple from the earth, learning what is called the apostolic doctrine. They had no doctrine of devils among them hence not having a demonic case among them. It was the lost world around them that had issues with devils, hence you find the apostles helping them to cast the demons out.
WE ARE CALLED TO BE STUDENTS OF GOD’S GLORY!
The glory of God is the fullness of GOD on display, and God wants us to be filled with the knowledge of that fullness. But that will not happen if the revelation of who He is remains unknown.
Sadly, many in Church today are like the women at the well. They spend their Christian lives worshiping a God they do not know intimately, and relating with a Jesus they just have head knowledge of. No personal or experiential knowledge! That is why they are not filled with the fullness of God. They are rather filled with the fullness of the works of the devil.
Actually 85 percent of those we call Christians are not filled with the fullness of God. The very essence of salvation is that man be filled with the fullness of GOD.
If you are not filled with the fullness of God as His child, you will be filled with the fullness of other things because there is no middle ground. The root cause of our problems therefore is not evil altars in our village, evil foundations or curses. Neither is it even lack of sowing seeds.
The root cause of our problems is having just a foretaste of God and lacking His fullness in our lives.
God wants a people who will carry Him on their inside (the way Adam did before the fall) on the face of the earth. That is the Only way we can deal with our problems, advance His blessed will, and convert the Kingdoms of this world into that of God and of His Christ!
There are no words that can describe what your life will become if you carry God on your inside. If we carry the true God on our inside, everyone in our lives will know. The lost will be convicted of sins, the dark world afraid of us, and those who have turned to the wisdom of just celebrating us.
A people who will press into scriptural revelations until they are filled with the fullness of God will illuminate the earth wherever they dwell. Yes, they will be illuminating the word with the kindness, mercies, power and greatness of God wherever they go. That was how Jesus illuminated the earth when He was physically here over 2000 years ago.
THE BIBLE SAYS;
“how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.” Acts 10:38 NKJV
When you are filled with the fullness of God there will be no place in your life for the devil to touch. Just as no animal can go close to a burning furnace so will it be impossible for devils to come close your life. You will be like a burning furnace in the spirit realm.
To be filled with the fullness of God is the greatest way to terrorize hell, death and grave. To be filled with His fullness will transform you into a small GOD on the face of the earth. You will become His deputy indeed, giving Him pleasure wherever you turn.
Our devotional text this morning is unique; it tells us what really happened to Israel when they came out of Egypt. It tells us why the sea parted and every devil on their way panicked. It tells us how God literally sat on them leading to the outbreak of His presence wherever they went. They were His sanctuary on earth so long as the ancient world was concern.
A major highlight of the text says,

Friend, Satan may have heard our prayers! Our problems may have experienced our fasting. But there is something about us still pending; something they need to hear! That thing is the glory of GOD, oozing as the fullness of GOD out of us to our world. There are devils we will never shift until that begin to happen. There are problems in our lives that will never disappear until the fullness of GOD begin to ooze out of us.
If God fills our lives with His fullness and the devils and all they brought into our lives see it, they will flee. The Bible says the sea saw it and fled!
I want to say again and again that there is going to be a generation that WILL cast out demons by presence, not by shouting. There is going to be a people who will consecrate, make themselves students of the glory, and become pillars of God’s consuming glory on earth. We can all decide to be part of that generation.

“The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?
