TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL (Thursday 7TH JANUARY 2021)
“… “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.
But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’
He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them.
Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.” ’ ” Matthew 13:24-30 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 7TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF HIGHER HEIGHTS
We give God thanks for bringing us to another day in this set of days. We are getting closer and closer to the consummation of all things, as the days roll by. The Bible presents the emergence or manifestation of the anti-Christ as one of the events that will tell us how close we are to the end.
In our devotional today, we will looking at some prophetic truths about the events of the days we find ourselves. We will be considering the anti-Christ and his works in the nations..
Whenever you see the agenda of the anti-Christ succeeding, know that bad things are about to happen. The success of the agenda of the anti-Christ in the political landscape of the United States should make every Son of Issachar tremble, because bad things are about to happen.
Every prophetic person who is synchronized with the LORD is having a deep sadness in his or her spirit. But the carnal are just rejoicing over evil and others making statement based on prophetic ignorance. As God’s Kingdom Citizens must not join in that.
I had this sadness many year ago when a governed arose in Nigeria and terrible things broke out at its emergence; so terrible that those who voted it to power began to regret and fight to the point of losing their lives. I feel the same sadness in my spirit concerning what is happening in the United States.
I fear for the future of the faith in that nation; a nation that served as the cradle of contemporary soul saving missions to the nations.
Many of us either got saved because of the support ministries that got us saved got from the United States, or because of the ministries that came from there to Africa. The book of revelation tells us when God use a nation to saved almost the planet, the dragon will seek to persecute it. I fear that nation is entering that season.
Satan will always seek to punish nations and people that allow God to use them to snatch souls form him by first establishing an antichrist agenda against them and then using it to deal with the righteous. But God also has His intervening strategies, and that should be our hope.
However, it is going to be bad!
If God knows it is going to be bad, why then did He not stop the plan? Someone may ask! Why did the agenda of the evil one succeed so easily? Child of God, it did not succeed because God wanted it, it succeeded because the believers God placed at the gates wanted it. It succeeded because they refused to act as God’s kingdom advance gate keepers.
WHEN GATEKEEPERS IN POLITICAL LANDSCAPE REFUSE TO WATCH THE GATES AND STOP THE ENEMY, THE AGENDA OF THE EVIL ONE WILL SUCCEED.
God has gate keepers in the Church to watch the works of antichrist in the Church and stop it. He has gate keepers in the politics of nations to watch the works of the antichrist in the politics of nations and stop it. He has gate keepers in the financial sector of nations, whose assignment is to watch for the works of the antichrist in that sector and stop it.
He has gate keepers in the circle of education, military, and all realms of human existence, to watch the works of the antichrist there and stop it. But sadly, so many believers do not know about gate keeping. We only know about seed sowing and all other nonsense, hence either not knowing or not doing our jobs.
Whenever God’s Kingdom advance gate keepers fail to do their job, the antichrist will succeed in his agenda. Some of you reading this are called to be gate keepers for the LORD. But are you fulfilling your assignment or just thinking about food, marriage and money?
I think we will begin to organize gate keeper’s conferences from this year. We need to be trained and enlighten in matters of Kingdom advance gate keeping because we are all failing God and things will get bad for this failures.
The Cry of the Spirit is a gate keeping apostolic hub. Though we have failed God in some respect, but we have kept the gates in others. I know what I am talking about! One of the most critical jobs to do as a Child of God is that of a gate keeper; a kingdom advance gate keeper. It requires a lot of courage, sacrifice, times on the prayer knee, being very vocal, identifying and exposing the enemy and his evil works, and a lot of balanced and accurate revelation knowledge.
IT REQUIRES FORGETTING OURSELVES AND NOT GETTING OUR SPIRITS ENTANGLED WITH THE AFFAIRS OF THIS LIFE.
It requires knowing the enemy and his subtle schemes to over ran the purposes of GOD. There are qualities of a kingdom advance gate keeper that if they are missing in your Christian life, you will not be an effective gate keeper. You will flop and fall when God needs you most at the gate.
There are certain wars on earth that God do not fight using angels, He fights using the redeemed who understand the war and are courageous enough to stop the evil one at the gate. When He wanted to rescue Sodom and Gomorrah from falling into the consequences of their sinful acts, He went talking with Abraham.
The purpose was to find someone who could stand at the gate and stop the sin in the city and rescue the people.
Abraham understood this and was asking God if things could change by a number of righteous men who will stand to do that, and God said yes. They went from looking for 50 to looking for 5 righteous men to be used as gate keepers, but found none..
They could not find people to use in keeping the city from slipping into judgment. They could not find even 5 people who could be used to save the city from slipping into the consequences of it abominable acts. That was why the judgment came upon them.
The Bible says
“Then the Lord rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from the Lord out of the heavens. So He overthrew those cities, all the plain, all the inhabitants of the cities, and what grew on the ground.” Genesis 19:24-25 NKJV
These would not have happened if there were kingdom advance gate keepers in those cities. The same fate awaits any nation without kingdom advance gate keepers. That is why kingdom advance gate keeping is one of the most critical assignment of any Church generation.
Sadly, the enemy has his own gate keepers too, and they seems very sophisticated; intelligent and crafty people who know how to do his job, using the media and all at their disposal. They are wise to do evil and know how to terrorize the compromising righteous, and keep them in holes while they themselves go about doing the work of the evil one.
You can understand the frustration of Elijah when other prophets refused to join him at the gate to stop Jezebel and Ahab. You can understand why as you read about those who ran and hide in caves, looking for bread and water while they should be standing up against evil.
THERE ARE WARS APPOINTED PEOPLE OF GOD CANNOT FIGHT (FOR GOD) AS ONE MAN AND SUCCEED.
They will need an army of kingdom advance gate keepers to Join them. But when you leave them on stage alone, they fail and the enemy capture them. That is what is happening to President Donald Trump now; an appointed man standing alone in battle. You may hate me for this but I understand. The carnal mind cannot understand the things of the Spirit. Am not talking politics.
God knew Elijah could not do it alone, hence raising the trio of Elisha, Jehu and Hazael to take the battle from him and finish the job. This battle against Baal needs a team of politicians fighting as God’s kingdom advance gate keepers. But where are they?
However, there will be part two of this war. The pattern is going to be the same as it was in the days of Elijah; there is going to be a generation that will take the battle from Trump and finish it in the future. They will do it the way Elisha, Jehu and Hazael did it. They will function as gate keepers of GOD’s purposes in the politics of the United States and finish the unfinished job.
Sadly, our generation of believers are failing in our own God given posts!
We are allowing the enemy to use our ignorance and resources to do great damage to God’s redemptive purposes. We have a choice to make; are we going to keep sleeping on our jobs while the enemy take over the hearts of men or are we going to rise from sleep to do the will of God?
All through the ages the works of the evil one has always succeeded either by using the resources of God in Zion, or putting fear in those who should keep the gates and stop his works, and taking advantage of it to advance his purpose.
Sometimes I ask myself,
“what kind of believers those who claim to be born again are, that we cannot discern the times and the silent moves of the evil one.”
But I know what kind we are; we are blind believers. We are BBs. Am not talking about the Kenyan BBI here, but something prophetic.
So the agenda of the antichrist in the United States did not succeed because God was weak, no! It succeeded because soldiers of the cross slept on their jobs. It succeeded because those who should be doing kingdom advance gate keeping did not do their jobs.
MOST OF US SLEPT ON OUR JOBS AND ALLOWED THE AGENDA TO SUCCEED.
In our devotional text today, we find the LORD Jesus giving us a parable that explains why the enemy do succeed over God’s will sometimes. A Major portion of it says;
“… “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; BUT WHILE MEN SLEPT, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.”
It was our spiritual sleep that made the enemy to succeed in this war. He sowed tares among us and went his way leaving us in battle with the tares and watching from afar off.
Those who should have joined God’s appointed man at the gate slept and turned against him. But like I said, there is hope. God has a history of dealing with idols and other gods. Watch; after the storm there is going to be a fresh generation that will finish this, because our devotional text further said;
The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’
But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest,
God’s redemptive strategy is to let both grow together until another time for dealing with them. It is not to deal with the tares like what Donald Trump is trying to do. I wish someone will tell him to just relax and go his way like Elijah went, and wait for another set of people; a set of another Elisha, Jehu and Hazael.
God has a plan that will finish this in the future. If he keeps attempting to put the record straight, he will harm the wheat.
Already, the wheat is being harmed. That is why God’s strategy is to let them grow together. The time for the reward or the harvest of what the wicked one did is coming. This piece of information is only for the sons of Issachar not everyone who calls themselves Christians.
What is the message of this devotional this morning?
The message is simple. Wake up from your spiritual sleep and be God’s kingdom advance gate keeper in your family, work place, city, ministry or nation. Stop sleeping on your job and joining the enemy to ignorantly attack God’s purpose. God needs you to wake up and keep watch in the Spirit against the work of the antichrist.

“And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
