TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL (Sunday 31st January 2021)

“O Lord, how manifold are Your works! In wisdom you have made them all. The earth is full of your possessions —

These all wait for you, t hat you may give them their food in due season. What you give them they gather in; you open your hand, they are filled with good.” Psalms 104:24, 27, 28 NKJV

Welcome to another great day from the LORD. The LORD has been so gracious to us. We give Him the praise for not dealing with us according to our sins but according to His faithfulness.

Faithfully and graciously He has brought us to the end of the first month of the year. This is worthy of thanks. I believe how He led and brought us to this end will be template for the rest of the year; it will be peaceful habitation and secured dwelling in Jesus precious name. Amen

In our devotional today we will be uncovering the power of divine seasons. God does things under Heaven in times and seasons. If we will enjoy all He has to offer to us in this side of eternity, we must come to the revelation of divine seasons. The difference between the glorious you and the gory you lie in your ability to recognize and seize a supernaturally determined season of God for your life.

Life on earth is in seasons! Breakthrough is a season thing. Lasting blessings comes in their seasons. If we do not come to terms with this truth we will keep struggling, fighting, competing with ourselves, and taking decisions that will result in more and more struggles.

Those who understand God’s will for their lives and His determined success season for them do not compete with anyone. They live according to divine will, comparing themselves with no one but the will of God for their lives. The most peaceful competition is to compete by comparing yourself with God’s will for your life.

Most of our worries and troubles in life are consequences of not understanding these simple but profound truths. Seasons are what determines success in the life of a believer. That was why the sons of Issachar had their brethren at their command.

One of the most important revelation you must have is the revelation of the power of time. Times have been given the power to determine certain triumphs in our lives. Meaning, no matter what we do to get anything in God, we must still allow the process of time to do its work.

The process of time is most times stronger than even the will of man. For instance, when the time comes for a wicked man to die, nothing can stop time from taking his life. He may not want to die, but his will not to die cannot stop him for dying.

On the flip side, when the season comes for faithfulness to be rewarded by Heaven, no force on earth, or beyond the earth can stop it. Even if you do not want the reward, time will bring it to you against your will.

That is why it is good to keep doing good without fainting. God has ordained time to bring rewards of good deeds to those who seed them into the lives of others. He anointed the process of time to be responsible for certain things in His kingdom.

Some of the most important words you will always hear God use on you when your blessings are tied to time are the words BE FAITHFUL, HOLD ON, FOCUS, ENDURE, BE PATIENT, PERSEVERE or WAIT. Scriptures like “they that wait upon the LORD, shall renew their strength” will become flesh in you again.

Waiting on the LORD is a major faith position to take if your success. Our devotional text said,

“These all wait for you, that you may give them their food in due season. What you give them they gather in; you open your hand, they are filled with good.”

Whenever a faithful man or woman have waited or walked with the LORD patiently, and then come into their season of reward in the Spirit, things will begin to line up for them in the natural. They will begin to gather whatever God has given them that they could not access before.

That is why if you are doing anything for the LORD you are to remain faithful and patient. You are not to grow weary and begin to complain. Just keep doing it and looking unto the LORD. Your reward is on its way. It is tie to the process of time, and when that process is complete, blessings will break out on you.

You will see your season forcing God to open His arm towards you and giving you things your eyes have not seen, ears heard or hearts conceived. You will find the season pulling men and substance to you, even from unexpected ends. It will give people a special tolerance to your shortcomings and make men celebrate even your inadequacy as strength.

That is why you must learn to walk with the LORD patiently until you come into your divinely determined season.

Divinely determined seasons are very powerful. They are more powerful than all your enemies put together. For instance, it was the season for Goliaths demise that gave David victory over him. David sensed that it was time for the giant to go down that was why he went after him.

The life of David and Goliath tells us that when you attack your enemies in their divinely determined season of defeat, they will fall like dead men even before you talk to God about them. May God bring your enemies to their season of demise! The Bible says,

“of the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, their chiefs were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their command;” 1 Chronicles 12:32 NKJV

If you want things to be at your command, understand the divinely determined times and season for doing them before you move to do them. God’s kingdom citizens fail for not knowing this secret.

David was one Bible Character that fought terrible wars without a scar. He fought humans who moved like demons. He killed a giant.

He was always found in the forefront of the hottest battles yet there was no one record of defeat in over 53 years of being in the military! What was the secret? He understood his times and season. He knew when to move against the enemy.

At one time, God told him, “Wait until you hear movements on top of the mulberry trees. That will be a sign to you that god has gone ahead of you.” He was taught to always wait on the LORD before moving against the enemy. That was How He put GOD ahead of him in every battle.

I grew up to discover that any enemy you move against when God has not moved against him will destroy you. You will be fighting the force outside its divinely determined season of defeat. Consequently, lacking the supernatural supply from God to come out victoriously.

Spiritual warfare is actually going to pick the spoils of war after God has finished the battle. Meaning GOD must step into that theatre of war to do the necessary before you take the first step. It is people who do not understand this concept that go head long against the enemy, and return with injuries to show and sometimes to foolishly boast about.

Jesus said we shall tread upon serpent and scorpions and upon all the works of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt us. If they are hurting us, it is not God’s will. Boasting about what you suffered for going on a spiritual warfare trip is a sign of spiritual foolishness.

We thank the LORD for keeping us in the month of January. Next is February. Maybe He gave us this little briefing because there could be battles coming in February that will require these truths to conquer.

May all He has taught us this month be animated in our Spirits next month, when and where needed, in Jesus precious name. Amen!

“To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck what is planted;

A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones;

A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to gain, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to throw away; a time to tear and a time to sew;

A time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace” Ecclesiastes 3:1-5 NKJV
