TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL (Friday 19th February 2021)
“THE LORD said to Moses, Command the Israelites that they put outside the camp every leper and everyone who has a discharge, and whoever is defiled by [coming in contact with] the dead.
“Both male and female you shall put out; without the camp you shall put them, that they may not defile their camp, in the midst of which I dwell.
The Israelites did so, and put them outside the camp; as the Lord said to Moses, so the Israelites did.” Numbers 5:1-4 AMP
WELCOME TO THE 50th DAY OF OUR YEAR OF HIGHER HEIGHTS.
God speaks in numbers. Fifty is the number of Jubilee; a word that describes one of the most significant blessings that God can bestow on a man. May this day and devotional be used by the LORD to bestow that blessing upon you in Jesus precious name. Amen
God did not create man to die. God created us to live forever; spirit souls and body. But sin stopped all that, and from scriptural revelations, the blood of Jesus has repaired all that. Jesus died on the cross to redeem us and gave us His Holy Spirit to keep us from the three kinds of death that resulted after sin stepped into the human race.
It is not easy to lose a loved one. I still grieve the death of my father and all those who have died even many years ago. But if you have lost a loved one, please do not allow grief to consume you if he or she was saved. Just live the life that you will need to live so that you can meet that person again in Heaven.
May the mercies of the LORD be upon us all in Jesus precious name!
Now, everyone knows death as an occurrence. Those who are akin with the spirit realm knows death as “the spirit of death.” But very few know that people can function as messengers of death. When I say messengers of death am not referring to people the enemy uses to kill others like it happens every day on our planet. Am referring to something else.
In other words, we can say, death is an occurrence, death is a spirit, and death can also be a person.
Let me reiterate again that when we say people can function as messengers of death, we are not referring to assassins. We are referring to friends and well-wishers who are capable of functioning silently as instruments of death in fulfilling the agenda of the devil as one who came to steal, kill and to destroy.
THERE ARE SO MANY LIVES THAT HAVE BEEN DESTROYED BY THIS KIND OF PEOPLE.
They look helpful and sometimes are indeed helpful but are doing more to hurt than what they are doing to help you. This is where the issue of right relationships comes in. The Bible says;
“The righteous should choose his friends carefully, For the way of the wicked leads them astray.” (Proverbs 12:26 NKJV)
One of the major area of life that every one of us must always work on is the area of having people become part of our lives. If the wrong person becomes part of your life, they will do things that will leave your life so shattered that it will even become difficult to make Heaven.
People who allow carnal passions, ignorance, love of money, tribal sentiments, sinful desires, or pressing needs to determine who becomes part of their lives are always destroyed by the same people they allowed the factors to bring into their lives.
There was a divine instruction God gave to the nation of Israel under the law that I want to share with us. It was an Old Testament code of conduct so long as life on this side of eternity is concerned. To help your better understanding of it, I will like to share this with you.
Often in our discipleship services, I have always said that people who have been zombified to treat the Old Testament as a done away part of the Bible need help. The Books of the Old Testament are the mother and father of the New Testament.
In fact, the early Church had no complete Bibles like we have today. They were literally preaching from what we know today as the Old Testament. What did they know about what we call the Old Testament that we do not know? A lot!
First, they knew that the central truth of the Old Testament is “KNOWING GOD” and the Central Truth in the New is also “KNOWING GOD” hence using it to preach Christ and Him crucified. Secondly, they knew that the only difference between the Old Testament and the New Testament lies in a very simple but profound prophetic Truth.
That truth says,
“The Old Testament is the will of God concealed and the New Testament is the will of God revealed. You cannot understand what is revealed until you discover what was concealed.”
ALL THESE TELL US THAT A CHRISTIAN GENERATION THAT IS NOT FAMILIAR WITH THE OLD TESTAMENT WILL NOT BE ESTABLISHED IN SOUND DOCTRINE.
That is why we have false prophets and heretic teachers everywhere today; Impostors and ministers operating under the anti-Christ spirit, commanding the attention of the perishing and vulnerable.
But the Bible also says that they will progress no further because the tide has really changed in our appealing and acceptable to this breed of zombified saints and their pastors only when talking about first fruits, tithing, and all money related religious activities. Every other portion is considered obsolete.
They call it the law, and say we are not under the law. But they forget that all the giving systems they practice where all done under the law. Yet, the stand on them to fabricate anti scriptural practices that makes the preachers smile to the bank while the people smile to hell.
Obviously, they resist the Old Testament because of the demand it places on their morality and embrace only portions that will keep them smiling to the bank. That is satanic and at the same time horrific!
Time has come to understand and put to use the laws that governs accurate scriptural interpretation. The Old Testament is to be read with the eyes of the New Testament, and the New Testaments read in the eyes of the Old. That is the only way to be established in sound doctrine and not slip back into Judaism.
Having shared this, let’s now go to the divine instruction I wanted to unveil to us. Our devotional text today is full of revelation truths that were concealed for us. A major highlight in it contains the instruction I am referring to. It says;
“THE LORD said to Moses, Command the Israelites that they put outside the camp every leper and everyone who has a discharge, and whoever is defiled by [coming in contact with] the dead. Both male and female you shall put out; without the camp you shall put them, that they may not defile their camp, in the midst of which I dwell.”
WHAT IS THE TRUTH OF GOD THAT WAS CONCEALED IN THIS INSTRUCTION?
First leprosy represents sin. God was saying exactly what Paul wrote to the Church at Corinth. He said to them that they should have no fellowship or relationship with anyone who calls himself a brother but is living in sin; is sexually immoral, greedy, and covetous.
He said they should not even eat with them. That is the same as putting the leprous person out of the camp. Secondly, the instruction talks about those who have a discharge; what truth did God conceal in that?
There is a group of Christians in Church today who have capacity to discharge unclean spirits and habits, they can baptize your human spirits into things that desecrates just by sitting down to converse with you. When this kind plant themselves in your life, or if you bring them into your life, you will begin to do filthy things that you either preach against or have never done in your life. I have been there. I know what I am taking about. That is why I have been providing help to many.
Sometimes you can only be effective in saving people after experiencing what they are going through yourself and coming out victorious. As one who have been preaching all my life, I have been in situations where I did what I preached against, not because I wanted to but because people who were very close transmitted things that make people do such things into my spirit without my knowledge.
It is like the enemy sending people to plant into your spirit things that will later make one a victim of what he or she is attacking. That is why you have always find yourself doing what you hate or preach against.
The things that were transmitted into me lived in me for some time and later paralyzed my will against sin and conquered my resistance completely. Bring me into things I never thought as a preacher I could do. But God granted me victory. The people with capacity to desecrate us that way are called messengers of death.
They function as Satan’s transmission lines; transmitting things from his kingdom to your spirit. They are responsible for moving filthy spirits from hell to the lives of the redeemed of the LORD. I have heard of husbands and wives who fell into sexual sins because they desire to sleep with another person other than their spouses was planted in them by either friends or their spouses themselves.
INDEED, A SPOUSE CAN PLANT SOMETHING UNCLEAN IN YOU IF HE OR SHE IS NOT TOTALLY SPIRITUALLY CLEAN.
Sadly, so many are married to people with a spiritual discharge. These people function as messengers of death in the lives of their spouses.
Friend, when a spouse becomes a messenger of spiritual death, only God can save you. You must develop a closeness with God and encourage him or her to do the same so that the unclean thing will leave you both.
The Church today is full of people with spiritual discharge. A young man once called to tell me how the leader of his church choir became his best friend and later wooed him into his private house to commit homosexual act with him. He warned him after the act not to tell anyone else he dies.
Friend, there are people with a discharge among us in church today.
There are pastors, prophets, prophetesses and apostles that if you relate with, you stand the risk of receiving unclean spirits and habits from. The Bible says these breed should be kept outside the camp. We should have nothing to do with them until they are healed or judged.
The last phrase to decode in that highlight from our devotional text speaks about those who defiled themselves by touching the dead. What truth did God conceal in that instruction? The dead are people, especially in Church who are cut off from the life of God; the lost sinners in and outside the Church.
How do you touch the dead or get defiled by them?
You get defiled by the dead by relating intimately with them until they begin to kill your morality, dedication to God and the desire to live a holy life. For instance, Samson’s relationship with Delilah was TOUCHING THE DEAD. You know, he lost the manifest presence of God as a result. When you touch the dead you will lose the fire of God in your life.
YOU WILL LOSE THE ANOINTING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT!
There are so many Christians today who cannot carry the manifest presence of GOD for even 30 minutes because they get defiled by the dead they are either married to, doing business together with, spending time together with, or even attending the same Church with.
Child of GOD, if we engage God in choosing who we yoke ourselves with we will not be found in things like these. These kind of people are using as a result of allowing things other than God to bring people inti our lives. No relationship will ever defile us if we keep to the laws of GOD. Eve defiled Adam because the laws of GOD were not kept. We must follow the word not our feelings in dealing with matters of relationships.
Any leper, one with a discharge, or a person who defiles himself by touching the dead that you are intimate with, is a wrong relationship. It will destroy you no matter how prayerful you are.
Many are hooked up to lepers and people with spiritual discharge called people of God. Some are hooked up to the spiritually dead who are moving in the supernatural forces of darkness as their prophets and prophetesses. If we do not break free from such destructive relationship and seek the LORD for edifying relationships, we will not even well in spite of our prayers or commitment to GOD.
You cannot be relating with messengers of death and expect life to be sweet. It will never be sweet. God is saying to you this morning,
“wake up from slumber, keep Christians and every other people described in our devotional text away from your life and you will begin to see what heaven may have said concerning you coming to pass.”
We can go on and on and on, but this is not a book but a devotional. I believe the message for the day has been passed.

“I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people. Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world.”
“But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner — not even to eat with such a person.
“For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? But those who are outside God judges. Therefore “put away from yourselves the evil person.” 1 Corinthians 5:9-13 NKJV
