TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL (Wednesday 31ST March 2021)
“Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
“So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”
“Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Genesis 1:26-28 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 90TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF HIGHER HEIGHTS!
God have been gracious to us and kind. He has been out strength and place of refuge. To Him belongs all the glory in Jesus precious name. If you have been following our devotionals, I trust the LORD has been speaking to you.
Today we will be refreshing our minds on matters of divine wisdom.
When the Holy Spirit descended on the apostles in the Day of Pentecost, the first place He touched was their heads not the feet. God was showing us where the problem of humans lies and the first place the Holy Spirit will touch in a man’s life to bring in anything he may need from the LORD.
To touch our lives, God will first touch our minds. He will give you wisdom to give you any other things you need from HIM. That is what makes divine wisdom, the most essential for living.
One of the major things you must know about life is this, God is in control but not in total control of things. He is in sovereign control of everything but not in delegated control at all. I guess this was made clear in our previous teachings.
GOD has delegated some controls to mankind. One word He used to define it is the word “DOMINION.” The Bible made it clear that God gave man dominion or delegated control over the earth.
A KEY STATEMENT IN OUR DEVOTIONAL TEXT SAYS,
“Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
In other words, “let them have delegated control over the fish of the sea (everything that concerns the water), over the birds of the air (everything that concerns the air), and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth (everything that concerns the land)”.
You cannot be given delegated control over almost all of God’s natural creation without the tool to manage the control. In fact, man was not independence of God when the controls where handed over to him.
Meaning, God expected to manage the earth He placed under man’s control through man. The delegation of the control did not completely remove Him from the equation. There was no way a “finite mind” could have managed the creation of an “infinite God” without the infinite God doing it through man. That is where divine wisdom comes in.
Divine wisdom was designed to be man’s instrument for managing the controls given to Him by God. But when man fell, He handed over the controls to the devil. We see this affirmed during the temptation of Jesus. You remember the devil saying to Jesus;
“All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish (Luke 4:6 NKJV).
Amazingly, Jesus did not dispute it because it was true. Jesus actually came to save man from Satan’s grip and take back the controls. And that was finally done by His death on the cross.
But because the Church has not risen to totally enforce that victory, and because many are still living in the dark of what Jesus have done for mankind, certain things about certain lives are still under the devil’s control.
THEREFORE, WHEN BAD THINGS HAPPEN AND WE SAY GOD WAS THE ONE THAT ALLOWED THEM TO HAPPEN, WE ARE LYING ON HIM.
God do not allow bad things to happen. He could use what happened to work out His will for the victims but He does not allow bad things to happen. In fact, it was never His will and will never be His perfect will for bad things to happen.
The first being to allow bad things to happen to the earth was a fallen angel, called Lucifer – who is now known as Satan. He used the spiritual controls God delegated to him to allow bad things to happen. The second was Adam himself. He used his delegated control to allow bad things to happen.
So God has never allowed bad things to happen.
It is those with God’s delegated control that have been allowing bad things to happen. That is why every evil that has ever befallen men is traceable to either men or the devil. It is when God moves to stop bad things from happening that He sometime creates calamity to arrest calamities or neutralize creators of calamities. He declared through Isaiah saying;
“I am the LORD, and there is no other; There is no God besides Me.
I will gird you, though you have not known Me, that they may know from the rising of the sun to its setting that there is none besides Me. I am the LORD, and there is no other;
I form the light and create darkness, I make peace and create calamity; I, the LORD, do all these things.” Isaiah 45:5-7 NKJV
Bad things happen whenever men do not use divine wisdom to managing the delegated control God gave mankind. And to arrest the bad things God would create darkness, make peace or even create calamities. He is not therefore, the author of bad things.
When bad things happen and we ascribe them to God we are lying on Him. People who lie on God do not end well in life!
Bad things happen when men do not use His wisdom in managing their lives. When you see us breaking down in health, coming into poverty, or any other kind of crisis, the absence of divine wisdom in our hearts is the reason for it.
YES, IT IS THE REASON FOR THE PRESENCE OF ALL EVIL; ESPECIALLY THE PRESENCE OF PERSISTENT DEMONIC ACTIVITIES.
We can stop bad things from happening or neutralize them if we walk in divine wisdom. If we apply our hearts unto divine wisdom, we will erase the bad things that may have happened or may be happening to us over time.
I want to refresh our minds on one aspect of divine wisdom to apply our hearts unto; and that wisdom is the wisdom of constant flow.
For instance, it is the constant flow of blood in the body that keeps it alive. It is the constant flow of rivers that keeps them alive. It is the constant flow of the air we breathe, in and out of us that is keeping our natural bodies alive.
Constant flow is God wise way of preserving things on the face of the earth.
God did not create man to survive from accumulations but constant flow. If you accumulate and there is no constant flow, what you accumulated will either be polluted or exhausted. The Kingdom of God blesses people who are always flowing things out to their generation. They receive from the LORD as they allow them to flow out to righteous souls in need.
God created things to be sustained through a system of constant flow. You see that even in the air we breathe.
If the air we breathe was coming from a storage system God kept somewhere, by now it would have been polluted or exhausted. But God created a system of constant flow hence it has not been exhausted, or polluted neither can it be exhausted or polluted.
The same is applicable to every other created thing or Heavenly resources.
The waters in the Ocean are not flowing from some accumulated storage somewhere. They are flowing from a constant flow system God created. God designed that we are sustained from His constant flow system.
He designed that there be a constant flow of finances to us, sound health to our bodies, revelation to our spirits, anointing to our lives, and grace to our faith. He designed that there be a constant flow of the good things we need physically or spiritually into our lives.
HE NEVER DESIGNED THAT WE LIVE FROM A STORAGE SYSTEM.
That was why the rich fool was killed the night he decided to start feeding from a storage system. God designed that we do not store our riches but give them out towards His purposes so that there will be room from Him to push in more into our live.
As we bring this to a close, I want you to understand that stopping the flow the GOD has always been Satan’s assignment. He stopped the flow of God on Adam in Genesis 3 when he seduced the woman, and then the man to disobey God. He will come to stop the flow of God in your life also.
He knows “constant flow” is God’s way of sustaining you. But you can decide to seek mercies of the LORD to help us not to allow that happen!
Make this day your day of resisting the enemy and asking the LORD to activate whatever He may have stopped from flowing into your life. Remember, Satan cannot stop anything without our permission, so repent of any sin you may have committed and ask the LORD for mercy.
As the witness the end of this month and begin a fresh one tomorrow morning, start living your life in this aspect of divine wisdom. Position yourself for constant flow of God and never allow it to be truncated by the evil one.
