TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL (Saturday 10th April 2021)
“Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.” Philippians 2:12-13 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 100th DAY OF OUR YEAR OF HIGHER HEIGHTS!
Today is very significant, depending on where you are in faith, in the Spirit, or in the knowledge of God. There are certain things that if we do for a hundred consecutive days they bring into our lives what the bible calls a hundred fold results.
For instance, if we sow to please the flesh consecutively for a hundred days, we will of the flesh reap corruption a hundred fold.
And if we sow to please the Spirit for a hundred consecutive days, we will of the Spirit reap a hundred-fold everlasting life. One fold is enough blessing or enough curse, how much more a hundred.
Sadly, people ignorantly do damaging things consecutively for a hundred days and bring in things into their lives that sometimes even prayer cannot solve.
For instance, if you consecutively take in alcohol, cigarettes mixed with days of having sex with whoever twinkles your fancy and all that, you will of that kind of life reap curses that even prayers may not be able to take care of. Curses that manifest in form of terrible diseases like cancer and all that.
There are certain cancerous diseases that are products of health crisis but there are cancers that are simply curses. Those are the type you reap if you consecutively do certain things to please the flesh.
In God’s plan we are to do things to please the Spirit consecutively so that we can reap blessings He promised us in His word. That is how just He is. People who understand and walk in the revelation of His just nature will be most blessed in time, and eternally blessed in eternity.
Personally am still struggling to walk in the revelation of His just nature. It is one height of faith I am yet to attain in my private walk with the LORD, and I hope it won’t be long, I will be fully there. Though am blessed, but I have not attained a dimension of blessing just because of that.
There is a greater weight of glory you will begin to move in, if you completely separate yourself unto the LORD and spend your days tapping into His just nature. It is the greater glory I am running after at this point of my life. I want to be able to bring more help from the LORD to millions and even billions of lost souls.
But I will never get there the way I should if I do not walk in certain revelations.
I believe someone out there may find something to learn from my short testimony. We are all work in progress in certain respects; however not in the respect of living in sin, iniquity or trespass. no! The Bible made it clear that anyone who lives in sin, iniquity or trespass is not saved at all, he may even be a pope, but in God’s justice system he or she is not saved.
When I say we are all work in progress therefore, am referring to in respect to the mystery of living in God and growing in dimensions of revelations in the realm of His glory. The sanctified ones are all work in progress in that respect; not the desecrated and sin loving believers who calls it their weaknesses and go with the mantra that says “No one can be perfect.”
This morning God has a word for us from a well of truth that was dug years back. It’s my prayer that you find something refreshing to help you in Jesus precious name. Amen!
DOUBLE CHECKING – A HIDDEN MYSTERY OF GRACE!
Double checking is a very important principle of life. When we double check we discover errors, kill false assumptions, uncover veils, and fix things we thought where okay but not really okay and come out perfectly.
In manufacturing, double checking helps companies not to send substandard products to the market place. It protects the quality of service a company gives. Not double checking products before sending them out has led to the downfall of many companies.
Staffs in-charge of double checking has been fired, not for stealing from the companies, but for not doing their job; not double checking products before sending them out.
Secretaries, Editors, personal assistants and other related professionals, are employed basically to write and double check letters and other vital documents written before dispatch. Even in the kitchen, if a Wife or mother do not double check what she is cooking (by tasting the food) before serving it, she will serve a bad meal to her family.
Double checking has never been a burden to the wise. Nothing meaningful and reasonable is a burden to the wise, irrespective of the price that may be involved in it. Double checking has only been a burden to the lazy and foolish.
It’s so amazing that the world double check things before certifying them but the Church do not double check. At best we double check documents in our administrative departments but do not double check our salvation. If there is anything that needs double checking today, it is the salvation of those who claim they are saved or born again!
SO MANY THIEVES ARE CLAIMING BORN AGAIN TODAY, ESPECIALLY THE BANDITS BEHIND THE PULPIT.
Liars both on the pew and the pulpit tell us they are saved. Masturbators and lesbians both on the pew and behind our pulpits tell us they are saved; to make matters worse they say they are sanctified and Spirit filled.
Greedy and randy pastors, sex addicts and lust controlled preachers tell everyone they are Heaven bound. In fact, they call themselves all kinds of names and give themselves ecclesiastical honors that makes everything Lucifer did in Heaven a small thing. The Bible says,
“These are springs without water and mists driven along before a tempest, for whom is reserved forever the gloom of darkness. For uttering loud boasts of folly, they beguile and lure with lustful desires of the flesh those who are barely escaping from them who are wrongdoers.
They promise them liberty, when they themselves are the slaves of depravity and defilement—….” 2 Peter 2:17-19 AMPC
Recently, I watched a video of one of these class of preachers that best fits this Bible description of who they really are, with sadness. There is so much evil perpetuated by the false Church that is parading itself as part of the Body of Christ. When you speak to expose them, they respond “do not judge.”
When they say “Do not judge” they are actually saying, “do not walk in discernment.” They know if you do, you will be able to identify their activities and run away from them. You will no longer be an asset to their wickedness.
There need for double checking today in every religious circles. The Bible says,
“They profess to know God [to recognize, perceive, and be acquainted with Him], but deny and disown and renounce Him by what they do; they are detestable and loathsome, unbelieving and disobedient and disloyal and rebellious, and [they are] unfit and worthless for good work (deed or enterprise) of any kind.” Titus 1:16 AMPC
This is one scripture that shows us how much we have deceived ourselves, calling hell bound people saved, and giving ourselves an assurance of a salvation we have not really found. Sadly, we deceived ourselves this way because we recited some salvation poem and got certified saved by someone but do not double check with the pure word of the LORD to see if we are or not.
THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO DO NOT LISTEN TO GOD’S MESSAGE ON OUR LIPS BECAUSE THEY CLAIM THEY ARE TOO HARD ON SIN.
Everyone who is living in sin, who do not want to stop, has never sat under our ministry for too long. While others will receive grace and repent, these ones who came claiming all kinds of spiritual achievements and saying all kinds of glorious things concerning the ministry will just disappear from the meetings after a while, and you will not see them again.
Later you will hear they are in one kind of spiritual pig sty or the other.
If a message on sin and its consequence, God’s approaching judgment and a call to Holiness, still scares you especially to the point of not wanting to hear it at all, it is a proof that you are still a prospective candidate of hell. But if it helps you to sit up, drives you to double check your salvation, or make you thank God for saving you from judgment, then you are Heaven bound. That is the truth!
God do send fiery messages from time to time, even to the righteous, to protect us from drifting away.
He sends strong messages on sin, its consequence, approaching judgments, and a call to Holy living to stir us – those of us who claim salvation – to double check. But the persistent sinner, especially in the Church, will brand the preachers of such messages. They will not use what is being preached to double check their salvation and what they call relationship with God.
Double checking is a necessity where Heaven making is the goal. We drift away easily without realizing it most times. I have come to realize that before a true child of God will finally fall into sin, iniquity or trespass, he or she have been drifting away without realizing it.
Double checking is what helps us not to drift away.
I have drift away so many times and ended up doing some terrible things. That was when I learned about the mystery of double checking under God’s true grace. It has helped me to always be true to myself. It helps me to double check my salvation each time I hear a message on hell, approaching Judgments and sin.
I DO NOT JUST ASSUME THAT I AM A PREACHER SO I WILL MAKE HEAVEN.
Preaching is not a qualification for going to Heaven. I know it is living the life that will help me to make Heaven, hence striving like Paul admonished, every day and working my salvation with fear and trembling.
I am fully persuaded that I must live the life of a Heaven bound Child of God by the grace of God upon my life to make Heaven. There is no middle ground!
Sadly, there are so much “bless me” messages on the lips of preachers today, because of our motives in ministry. Many pastors are just seeking the number of Church attendance to grow, some are just in it for fame, power and money hence the nonsense being preached. You can never find “sanctify me” messages on their lips, except for few occasions as a smoke screen, because it will defeat their goal for ministry.
The multiplication of “bless me messages” at the expense of “sanctify me” messages has made hell to enlarge itself.
The near absence of sanctify me messages is producing a group of active sinners who believe their sin do no longer matter since they have recited the sinner’s prayer in the Church.
This development is compounded by the spiritual blindness in our hearts and the ignorance in our souls. It is not letting many of us see things the way the really are in God’s sight.
Our devotional text today says “Work out your salvation with fear and tumbling.” This was written by Paul a man I consider as the authentic apostle of grace. He wrote things that our so called grace preachers have twisted to the ruin of their hearers and messed up big time.
If there is nothing to work out again after being declared saved by the person who led you to Christ, God would not have inspired Paul to write those blessed words. To work out your salvation involves living out the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus imparted into you at salvation.
IT INVOLVES EXPRESSING IT OR PEOPLE SEEING IT IN YOUR CHARACTER MANIFESTING AS A MORAL EXCELLENCE.
Child of God if you want to make Heaven this end time, double checking your spiritual condition with the word of the LORD is a necessity.
If you say you are saved by the righteousness of God, and that righteous is just claimed and not imparted into you, it is called delusion. You will lack the grace to live the Christian life that aligns with the Holy Scripture. You will be living the one taught by your grace preacher. Consequently, you will be in Church but still active in sin.
At best your hell inspired preachers will be calling whatever sin you are living in secretly “a struggle.” But they will not let the Holy Spirit to tell you the truth.
Friend, sin reveals our true Identity before God. Actively involving ourselves with sin, tells who we really are before God despite what we may be doing in Church. We must stop deceiving ourselves!
If we are actively involved in a sin, secretly or openly, it is a sign that we are not sanctified and Spirit filled. Only saved and sanctified people will make Heaven not those who just said the sinner’s prayer.
Come to think of it, 1 John chapter 2 to 3 makes it clear that no saved, sanctified and Spirit filed person lives actively in sin. If we are living in sin and calling ourselves saved and sanctified, we are not. If we are not working out our salvation by living right, that alone is a sign that Christ, the righteousness of God, is not living in us.
OUR DEVOTIONAL TEXT MADE IT CLEAR THAT IF HE IS IN US, HE WILL WORK IN US TO WILL AND TO DO OF HIS GOOD PLEASURE.
And His good pleasure is not for us to be active in sin but to be active in Righteousness, Purity and Holiness. Do not let any preacher confuse you about that!
God’s primary good pleasure is not for us to buy cars as most pastors tells us, get married as many teach, build a house or have our enemies killed as many believe. His good pleasure is to make us Holiness, purity and righteousness active. 1 Thessalonians 4:1-8 presents “Holiness, Purity, Righteousness, and Sanctification” as God’s primary good will for our lives. Others come after that!
I pray for you today, that you will allow the Holy Spirit to use this devotional to double check your salvation. I pray that you will not be a blind Christian who claims salvation but is hell bound. I pray that we will seek God for grace to come out of any hell bound thing we may be doing in secret but claiming salvation, and presenting ourselves before men and women as saved.
A lady once called me after listening to one of our broadcast on radio and said she sings in the Choir and that the Church Elders and entire Choir are actively involved in sexual sins. Often they have approached her for sex but she has always resisted.
When the randy Elders and Choir members got to know that she was rejecting their wicked act, the ostracized her. She was being treated like a black sheep. That is the kind of people we call saved! That is our own version of salvation – active sinners who sing in Choir and lead Churches as pastors and Elders. I advised her the way I can and left the rest for God!
If you call an active sinner heaven bound, then you are saying God is sinful. God is not holy!
Friend, it is Christ in you that is the hope of glory not active sin in you.
Make this devotional your meditation, and you will give the Holy Spirit the material to use in getting and keeping you ready for the return of our LORD and savior Jesus Christ!
