THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL (Wednesday 28TH April 2021)

“The Lord gave the word; Great was the company of those who proclaimed it:” Psalms 68:11 NKJV

WELCOME TO THE 118th DAY OF OUR YEAR OF HIGHER HEIGHTS!

This is the day the LORD has made. We shall rejoice and be glad in it. Hallelujah!

I guess you woke up well this morning. But if you woke up on the wrong side of life, I want you to understand that it doesn’t matter what may be wrong with you, if only you can locate God’s will and plant yourself there, and then just wait for Him there, all will be well.

Yes, we preachers usually tell our listeners to wait upon the LORD, especially after receiving a word of promise from Him, but we do not tell them where to wait. That is why many have waited and waited and nothing has happened.

There are places you don’t wait upon the LORD. If you wait there all your life, nothing He said to you will come to pass. The Church must wake up to the revelation and begin to walk in the manifestation of divine promises.

One major place you do not wait upon the LORD is the place of rebellion.

If you have the spirit of rebellion and lack of submission to the authority of God’s word or a divinely ordained human authority, or you are in a Church whose leaders are rebellious, nothing God said to you will come to pass. People who wait upon the LORD in the place of obedience are the ones who usually see His word come to pass.

He spoke through Isaiah saying

“If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land;” (Isaiah 1:19 NKJV)

Rebellion and disobedience has a way of making God to change His mind concerning some blessings He wants to release. Yes, God is not a man that He should change His mind but when things will not allow His will to be done, He will stop the flow of divine support to the people doing those things.

God changed His mind concerning the sons of Eli and withdrew the priesthood from the lineage. Also He changed His mind concerning Kings Saul and Jeroboam respectively, and withdrew the kingship from the lineages.

HE CAN STILL DO THAT TODAY!

If you do not want God to change His mind concerning you, then change your ways towards Him. That is the secret.

There are a lot of men and women in Church today who heard from God clearly but have not seen what He said to them come to pass because He has changed His mind. He changed His mind because they change their ways.

He gave them the promises in righteousness now they are living in wickedness. He gave them the promises in faith now they are living in filth. They must change their lives for Him to change His mind towards performing the word of promise hanging on their lives.

So if you are told to wait upon the LORD for a thing, check your life to see if there is any rebellious act in it and repent quickly from it so that what God wants to do might be done.

Another place you should not stand to wait upon the LORD is the place of prayerlessness.

If you are not prayerful, you will be pitiful. Sadly, many are pitiful because they are not prayerful. Someone will say, “I have been praying yet I am still pitiful.” No, you have not being praying. You have been talking!

We must be taught and imparted to pray. That was why Jesus never rebuked His disciples when they requested that He teach them to pray. Every Child learns to talk from those who are around. In the same way we learn to pray righteous prayers from those around us
.
Get our 2016 Prayer School teaching materials. They will be of great help. The two schools where organized at intervals same year, to return believers back the prayer knee instead of sticking to “prayer books full of dictated prayer points

Whenever you are told to wait upon the LORD, it is an invitation to prayer.

But if you don’t know how to pray you will just be involved in fruitless exercises. Only those who wait on the LORD on the authentic prayer knee will see Him move in His time.

THE NEXT PLACE YOU SHOULD NOT WAIT WHEN YOU ARE TOLD TO WAIT UPON THE LORD IS IN ISOLATION.

Isolation can only be a blessing if it is for a season. So if you are told to wait upon the LORD, it may be necessary to isolate yourself for a season. But if you make it a perpetual act, you will never see what God said come to pass in your life.

Isolation becomes a curse in the life of serious minded Christians when they isolate themselves for too long. Our devotional text today is short, simple, direct, but very deep. It says,

“The Lord gave the word; Great was the company of those who proclaimed it:”

Whatever God has purposed will need people to be executed.

The word was given to one person. But a great company proclaimed it. I said it some time ago that you will need people to become a person. One man may receive the promise but one man will not perform the promise.

A man may receive the word, but men are needed to perform the word. If the word is truly from God, then you do not need to be in isolation to see it come to pass. You need a great company. There is nothing that frustrates divine performance like being in unnecessary Isolation.

You do not need goats or sheep, to see God’s word come to pass in your life but people. You do not need cows or birds but people. Man was created to need people to become a person. Even nature teaches that clearly.

Give birth to a Child and leave it to Monkeys to raise it will grow up becoming a monkey.

Yes, it will look like a human even after maybe 50 years of growing up with monkeys but will definitely live like a Monkey. If perhaps you bring him or her home after 50 years and place him or her in a royal bedroom, you will be sorry for yourself. The reason is you will wake up in the morning to find your guest on top of trees.

THAT IS GOD SAYING TO US, “YOU NEED PEOPLE TO BECOME A PERSON.”

Being born is not enough; you have to grow up among people to become a person. In the same way, no one can become who God has called Him to become without being among those God has called to make him what He has called him to be.

Most visions in life died because there were no people to execute them. One day the Holy Spirit breathed these words into my Spirit “Where there is no vision, people perish and where there are no people vision perish. They all depend on themselves to become.” And it adjusted me thoroughly.

So the next place not to stay to wait upon the LORD is the place of unnecessary isolation. The Bible says,

“A man who isolates himself seeks his own desire; He rages against all wise judgment.” Proverbs 18:1 NKJV

In fact, when next God speak a word to you, ask Him who you need to see the word come to pass. It is people that will help perform every word of God’s promise in your life so don’t give in to the false holiness and consecration that pushes people into demonic isolation.

Satan will use people to twist holiness teachings to separate you from people you so need. He will even use close ones you trust to separate you from people that you need to become what God wants you to become. Be careful!

There are people who are gifted in whispering and muttering things into other people’s ears with the aim of isolating them from those God has raised for them. You must not give in to such people.

If you are told to wait upon the LORD, the place of isolation is the wrong place to go wait upon Him. Unless He moves you away from there, He will find no one to use to perform His will in your life. God use people to perform promises.

When next He speaks to you, ask Him to reveal to you the man or men He has called to execute that word. Seek Him to show you who He may have activated to come fulfill His word in your life so that you will not isolate yourself from the very person your destiny needs.

Friend, there are special men God has ordained to execute His counsel in your life. They form a special kind of Right Relationships you should seek God for. May Heaven grant you the wisdom and discernment to know them and cling yourself to them. AMEN!

LET THIS SCRIPTURE BE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR TODAY;

“Remember the former things of old, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying,

‘My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure,’

Calling a bird of prey from the east, the man who executes My counsel, from a far country. Indeed I have spoken it; I will also bring it to pass. I have purposed it; I will also do it. Isaiah 46:9-11 NKJV
