THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (Sunday 21st November 2021)

“But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light.

And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it. Revelation 21:22-25 NKJV

WELCOME TO THE 324th DAY OF OUR YEAR OF HIGHER HEIGHTS.

We bless the God of Heaven and earth for giving us another day. It’s out of His mercies that we are not consumed. He has counted us worthy to see another day in our month of mercy. I can’t believe we have already seen over three hundred and twenty-four days of the 365 days of this year.

It was like yesterday that we all shouted a happy New Year and here we are today. God is indeed faithful, gracious and merciful. This glorious nature of His is responsible for where we are today.

With 41 more days to see, it can only be brighter and brighter if we keep following Jesus, the LIGHT of the world.

The Bible indeed said anyone who follows Him will not walk in Darkness. Yes, the darkness of a year will not be our portion if we follow the LIGHT OF THE WORLD; that is if we follow Jesus Christ. It says;

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” John 8:12 NKJV

The Bible spoke about the darkness of an age. That tells us there is also the darkness of a year. 2020 had its darkness. Covid-19 was one. But those who made Jesus the light of their world were not consumed by it.

The darkness of an age or a year includes sicknesses from the pits of hell, sudden destruction, dangerous political and economic climatic conditions, especially conditions that make people poor, die, or decay morally. Satan usually spew things into a year to kill steal and destroy.

THOSE ARE THE THINGS THAT CONSTITUTE THE DARKNESS OF A YEAR.

But those who make Jesus the light of their world will never see them. The Bible says we will not walk in them (He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life).

Who you follow spiritually, will determine where you walk physically. Who you follow is what determines what follows you in life. If you are truly following the LORD, His goodness and mercies will be following you, all the days of your life.

That means, if you are walking in darkness you are not following Jesus, and if darkness is following you, it’s clear you have missed the light of the world. Jesus remains the true light that lightens men’s lives.

He is for instance if we are sad and bitter and He shines on our hearts it will dissolve it away. If He shines on hate, and He will turn it into love for even the unlovable. If He shines on our sinful lives, He will turn it into a holy life. If He shines on an abandons child, wife or husband, the person will feel His great companionship around.

If He shines on a marital crisis, He will turn it into marital bliss.

Economically speaking, you truly do not need money; you only need what will keep bringing it to you. You need what will bring the money and keep it working for you. That thing is the LIGHT of the world – the very light Christ shines into our lives as we follow Him.

His light teaches us to profit righteously. It shines in our Hearts and connects us to the power to get wealth. It shines everywhere we turn to fix our lives and make us glorious again.

It shines on our confusion and gives us direction to follow. It shines on our disappointment and lets us see the big picture – what Heaven can turn it into.

It shines on our sicknesses and help us connect the Healing power of Christ. It shines on the scars in our hearts and brings out a message that can redeem a dying world from damnation.

JESUS CHRIST IS INDEED THE TRUE LIGHT OF THE WORLD; THE ONLY LIGHT THAT ILLUMINATE MEN WITH THE HEAVENLY.

He does not illuminate houses, streets or Cities. That is what electricity does. He illuminates people. That is why even if you are living in a dark place where there is no electricity, if you have Him in your heart as the light of your world, you are not in darkness.

He is the true light that lightens every man that comes into the world – any man who turns to Him. Speaking about the mission of John the Baptist on earth and the difference between him and Christ, the Bible says;

“There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.” John 1:6-9 KJV

Who you follow in spirit and in truth will determine what follows you in the spirit realm.

If you have not met Christ in spirit and in truth, even if you live under the brightest and most beautiful electrical lights on earth, you are still in darkness. Darkness will keep following you.

That is why people do have a lot of adversity in their prosperity. No electrical light is the true light because it just illuminates houses, streets and etc. but cannot illuminate any man. Jesus is the true light that lightens or illuminate men.

His light does not just expel sickness, sin, ignorance of God, poverty, hopelessness, sorrows and etc. It also expels any other form of darkness that makes men miserable and devour-able when fully put to work.

That is why you will not walk in darkness if you walk in Him – the light of the world. The Bible says;

“He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.” John 1:2-5 NKJV

THE GREATEST ILLUMINATION ON EARTH IS NOT THE SUN THAT SHINES TO ILLUMINATE THE EARTH IN THE DAY OR THE MOON AT NIGHT.

The greatest illumination of the earth is Jesus Christ; because He created the sun. The prophet Malachi saw His true image in the Spirit realm at one time. It shone more than the Sun in its full strength yet not burning; and he called what he saw “The Sun Of Righteousness.

Jesus is indeed the greatest illumination, both in Heaven and on the earth.

The Book of revelation made it clear that someday we will no longer need the Sun to illuminate our lives. There is an age that is coming where the world as we know it will be no more. The age will be ushered in by the appearing of Jesus to take the saints home. That is what the Bible says the true grace of God will make a truly redeemed man to look up to.

It says;

“For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age,

looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works. Titus 2:11-14 NKJV

True salvation experience will urge you to look up to this coming age.

If your salvation is not urging you to look up to this coming age, it is either the encounter is not real, or you lack the revelation of the ages to come.

The scriptures made it clear that there is an age where we will no longer need the present Sun. It says in the days of that age, Jesus will manifest in full strength as the Sun of righteousness illuminating the entire creation of God from Jerusalem, where the center of the earth is.

THAT BRINGS US TO OUR DEVOTIONAL TEXT FOR TODAY!

John the revelator saw this coming age and wrote saying;

I don’t know what you are looking up to as a Christian. What you look up to as a child of God determines the manifestation of God in your life.

There is a generation that is looking up to this coming age. They are purifying themselves from anything sinful, satanic, or worldly and pressing into God to find a place there. They are making use of God’s love in their lives to purify themselves. By God’s grace I and they that the LORD have given me are part of this generation.

We don’t know in full what we shall be when we step out of this Body in readiness to get there, because it has not yet been revealed. But one thing we know is this; we shall be like Him (Christ) when we step there.

His will then will be fully made manifest in us by the glories in Heaven! That is the Hope the Holy Spirit has planted in our hearts. Hence helping us to purify ourselves just as He (Christ) is pure.

You can make use of these revelation truths to begin a fresh and sweeter walk with Jesus today. It’s never too late. You begin by making Him the light of your world. Then you grow by locating a church that will help you live that way until destiny is fulfilled.

MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY!

“Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.

Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.” 1 John 3:1-3 NKJV
