THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (Saturday 27th November 2021)

“Arise, O Lord, in your anger; lift up yourself against the rage of my enemies; and awake [and stir up] for me the justice and vindication [that] You have commanded.” Psalm 7:6 AMP

WELCOME TO THE 330th DAY OF OUR YEAR OF HIGHER HEIGHTS.

It is a great day and a beautiful weekend or some, while few others may be having challenges here and there.

Irrespective of how this weekend met you; you could be trapped in very desperate situation, in need of urgent help. Or you are just fine, let everyone of us not forget to fix our eyes on the LORD! The Bible says;

“They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.

The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing. Psalm 34:5-10 KJV

There is so much we get from this scripture; from the revelation in the first verse of what will happen when we look unto the LORD, to the revelation in the last verse of what happens when we seek the LORD, there is so much to learn from this scripture.

Basically, it teaches us some critical faith positions to in any circumstances that we find ourselves. We are either to look un the LORD, cry to Him to save us from troubles, believe that His angels are encamping around us, trust in Him, and not forget to seek Him.

PEOPLE WHO DO THAT IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCES THEY FIND THEMSELVES WILL NEVER BE CONSUMED.

It’s been our month of GOD’s mercy and glory be to the LORD God who has not given us to the will of our enemies. As we have been learning, grace and Mercy are usually seeded into the life of a man to enable him do truth. They are usually seeded to enable him escape judgment.

If there was no showing of mercy, they would have been no soul in Heaven. And sadly, if there has been no rejection of God’s mercies, there would have been no soul in hell either.

The thief on the Cross knew what many of us do not know today.

He knew how to recognize and accept God’s mercy. That was why he escaped eternal judgment and condemnation in the last seconds of His life on earth. So many people are still on their crosses and on their way to be buried because they do not know how to do what that criminal did in his last minute on earth.

Whenever a man cries unto God for mercy in sincerity and truth, mercy will speak for him. And when Mercy speaks, he will escape something he deserves. Be it God’s judgment or any other consequences of sins.

When mercy speaks he will escape the evil machinations of the enemy. It is the utterance of divine mercy that strips our enemies of their power over us and neutralizes their evil works in our lives.

In addition to what we have already learned this morning, I want to refresh our minds on matters of divine vindication; a manifestation of God’s mercies in the lives of the wrongly treated. We are in the end time. And Jesus prophesied about the events that will characterize the end times. One of it, I believe, will be the need for divine vindication. The Bible says;

“Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.

And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” Matthew 24:9-12 KJV

WE ARE RIGHT IN THE DAYS OF THE MANIFESTATION OF THESE THINGS.

Many of us are being delivered up to be unjustly afflicted, killed, and hated because of the LORD who we serve and His mandates that we pursue. There is a lot of hate being stirred against us by even those who have loved and sacrificed for. A lot of offence in the hearts of many who do not understand us.

There are betrayals, and a rise of false prophets who have done so many evil in the lives of people. Prophetic people, prophets and prophetesses have hidden behind “God says this and that” and lied against so many people and offended many with there so called prophetic messages.

The love of many s growing cold and there is a dire need for divine vindication. But what does it mean to be vindicated? To be vindicated means to be “set free from allegation or blame.” It means to be prevented from an unjust attack by watching the LORD providing justification and defense for you.

Oh how I need this today, especially in Kenya, following what the conspiracy of the prophets and their cohorts are doing or saying about me. I believe someone reading this devotional today needs God to provide justification and defense for him or her very urgently too.

A lady was in my office yesterday sharing how she have been badly treated just for trying to help her family form being slain by a false prophetic anointing. The LORD has shown her that someone in the family will die if they keep following the prophetess but they will not listen. They have labeled her evil for every true word she got for them form the LORD. She needs divine vindication.

Sometimes life has a way of throwing things at us that make people blame us for things we never did – things that comes with false evidence that inspire everyone to blame and condemn us. Satan knows how to cook up “false evidence” and make them appear true in the eyes of people simply to nail the righteous.

THAT IS WHY WE NEED DIVINE VINDICATION!

Have you ever said something true, even with tears, and everyone, including those you thought should know better or believe you, disbelieved you? You need divine vindication! Has someone ever lied against you so perfectly that you could not defend yourself; the only thing you could do was to cry, cry, and cry?

You need divine vindication!

Has God ever told you something and everyone doubted it, calling you all sorts of unprintable names, saying you made it up? You need divine vindication!

Have you ever been ill-treated and maltreated for something that was true that people thought was not true – maybe a word you were given to speak or do in the name of the LORD? You need divine vindication!

Divine vindication is God using time as a tool to state what your mouth could not state or what your mouth stated but people refused to believe you. It is God speaking for you after a season of being ill-treated and maltreated for something He knows you never did or you were right about.

Divine vindication is GOD saying to all who you made you suffer for a thing you did not do “He was right” or “She was right”. It is God making time your effective witness. I have been vindicated this way many times by the LORD.

Recently, so many in Nigeria who called me all manner of names in 2012 when I took a step they did not understand are now coming to terms with truth. God vindicates! Yes, He does and He will vindicate you!!

There are so many things I have suffered in life unjustly that only a divine vindication saw me through. I have come to discover that sometimes our mouths are too small to convince people that we are innocent. But God has a way of doing it in His time.

I BELIEVE THAT TIME FOR SOMEONE HAS EITHER COME OR WILL COME.

To be divinely vindicated is the sweetest thing that may ever happen to you. I have come to discover that there is what can be called “Divine settlement” in Christ Jesus. Instead of being vindictive for suffering unjustly, it is sweeter for a Child of God to wait for his or her vindication.

I sense in my spirit that someone’s vindication has come.

I trust the LORD sent this word this morning to tell someone who was disbelieved and ill-treated for either marrying someone they knew was God’s will but none believed them, leaving a Church in God’s will with people saying they have fallen from grace, doing a thing was right but everyone thought was wrong, that your days of vindication has come.

For some God sent this word to tell you that it is on the way!

Someone who was cheated but lacked what it takes to tell the whole world he or she was cheated, someone who did not steal anything but men lied against him or her and made him or her look like a thief, your days of vindication is coming.

Someone with a divine call that everyone thought was a falsified call, your days of vindication is coming. Someone who said a thing that no one believed your days of vindication is coming.

To be divinely vindicated also means to be avenged for and delivered from by God. It means to be free from allegation by God. When Heaven provides or makes justification and defense for you, you have been divinely vindicated. When God move to confirm a thing about you, your family, ministry or walk with Him, you have been divinely vindicated.

There is something called “Vindication Blessings”. Vindication blessings are blessings God releases to tell everyone that you were treated unjustly. Blessings God releases as a defense for you.

BLESSINGS THAT ARE VINDICATORY IN NATURE ARE USUALLY BIGGER THAN THE MOUTH CAN DESCRIBE.

Get set for this dimension of God! The Bible says,

“He will make your vindication shine forth like light, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.” Psalm 37:6 CJB

When Joseph was thrown into prison what he never did, his vindication came after two years and those who accused him became his subject. He had so many to forgive – not just his brothers. If he were not merciful, Potiphar’s wife and Potiphar himself would have been in for it.

The blessing of divine vindication has a way of making you a master over your accusers. It is indeed usually bigger than what your mouth can describe. I am a beneficiary of the blessing of divine vindication.

Jesus as man came doing good and healing all that was oppressed of the devil, yet the religious sets of His day hated him. One day they conspired and killed him. It appeared as if they were right. He was no son of God as He claimed. Before He died two criminals were nailed by His sides; one of them demanded that if He was the son of God he should prove it by saving Himself and them.

Finally, He died and was taken to the grave. His disciples all ran and hid themselves. It appeared His ministry was over and His works finally erased. The great prophet who was going about saving others could not save Himself, many thought. But they never knew a third day was coming. On the third day GOD Vindicated Him.

Sometimes when God wants to vindicate you, He will wait and allow the enemy to do His worst. Then send a resurrection that will make them speechless! For Jesus as man He waited for three days but when it finally came the blessing was so strong that it erased all the lies that His death made people to believe about Him.

IT’S YOUR TURN TO BE VINDICATED, BUT THERE IS A WORD OF CAUTION FROM THE LORD!

Do not expect to be vindicated when you are guilty of what you are being accused of. Instead confess your sins and let mercy be shown to you. There are people who will never tell the truth even if you catch them in the very act. They have a very seductive lip that can be used to confuse everyone not to believe what their ears heard them say and what their eyes saw them do.

This wrong people are very charismatic and can destroy your sense of judgment in seconds by crying for vindication. Do not call for vindication when you are lying to everyone that you were falsely accused and that God will vindicate you. Swift destruction will come instead of vindication.

Divine vindication is the elimination of damaging lies not the cancellation of glaring truths. Trying to use your mouth to cancel glaring truths of what you did will ruin you terribly, it’s just a matter of time. Whosoever convers His sin shall not prosper. But whosoever confess and forsake shall have mercy.

This message is for the wrongly treated and wrongly accused. It is for the pure in heart who God promised vindication in His word. It is for those who have waited, in truth and cried for what they never did, not for those who are crying foul for what they truly did. The Bible says;

“If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.

But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters.

Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.” 1 Peter 4:14-16 KJV

The key verses here as it relates God’s warning of being guilty and yet crying for vindication is,

“But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters.”

The message is clear. Do not ask for vindication when you are the one God need to expose and punish for wrong doing, ask for mercies.

May the LORD make His will clear and His word strong in our hearts this morning! Amen!!

YOU CAN MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY!

“Judge and vindicate me, O Lord my God, according to Your righteousness (Your rightness and justice); and let [my foes] not rejoice over me!

Let them not say in their hearts, Aha, that is what we wanted! Let them not say, We have swallowed him up and utterly destroyed him.

Let them be put to shame and confusion together who rejoice at my calamity! Let them be clothed with shame and dishonor who magnify and exalt themselves over me!

Let those who favor my righteous cause and have pleasure in my uprightness shout for joy and be glad and say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, Who takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.

And my tongue shall talk of Your righteousness, rightness, and justice, and of [my reasons for] Your praise all the day long.” Psalms 35:24-28 AMP
