TODAY’S DEVOTION (Tuesday 11TH January 2022)
“Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.” Philippians 3:12-13 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 11TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF AMAZING GRACE
Indeed, His amazing grace and beyond our sins, iniquity, trespass and all we may have done or may do. That is why it remains the cure for a life of sin. The Bible says where sin abide there grace much more abide. It like saying where diseases abide, there, adequate medication that will deal with it abide.
The grace of God abides where sin abide to cure the sins and stop people from living in it and destroying their lives. It does not abide to keep them living in sin and muting the consequences as preached by many.
The wages of sin remain death, and Christ died so that we can be delivered form the wages, the practice and the presence of sin. We are delivered when we receive mercies, forgiveness and the power to go and sin no more.
Grace will deliver a man form the wages of sin in other to deliver that man from the practice. God’s ultimate vision is to grant us sufficient grace to stop living in the sin that is living in us. That is what born again does; it gives us the power to stop living in the sin living in us.
Grace is God’s cure for the curse that came upon the human race at the fall.
That’s why we should not stop blessing God that over 2000 years ago Jesus sacrificed His life on the Cross and unleashed a grace that got us saved, and delivered us from the curse that the fall of man brought upon the human race.
You see, if the death of Jesus was a murder case, none of us we would have been saved. But it was a sacrifice that is why we are saved today.
It is important to remember that through Adam’s sin we were separated from God and condemned, but through Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection, we were washed, and are being washed, sanctified, justified and reconciled back to God.
NOW THAT WE HAVE BEEN RECONCILED, WE HAVE PEACE WITH GOD THROUGH HIM.
We shall not perish with the lost world if we continue in Him. We shall not be ashamed in the Day of Judgment if we keep living a life of repentance. We shall not be thrown into the lake of fire on that great day when all men shall appear before the great white throne judgment if we keep walking with Him and doing His blessed will.
All these things testify to the fact that redemption is one of the greatest and sweetest gifts of GOD to mankind. It is a gift that has made our lives beautiful.
At the beginning of this year, I admonished that we make the year a prayer year because of the Amazing grace Declaration and the portals of glory that will open over souls this year. I guess you are in the prayer room.
I will admonish that we move from “prayer books” to the “prayer Spirit.” If you truly carry a prayer burden you will know what to tell the LORD. You will not depend on some prayer points or books.
One major thing you must not allow to influence your Christian life this year is Ecclesiastical intimidation and Charismatic witchcraft in the Church. I read that some bishops are already threatening their members not to say anything bad about them else God plague them with leprosy.
Well, they are actually referring to Miriam not their members but their members are ignorant and will bow to the Ecclesiastical intimidation.
I will like to ask that bishop and his sympathizers that if a preacher does what is good, can we talk about it? If they heal the sick, turn sinners into saints, preach the true gospel, transform moral landscapes an demonstrate the power of God, can we talk about it?
If we can talk about that then we can also talk about any sin, evil, wickedness and misconduct they do. All these nonsense of God sending leprosy have been said by this same man since 1996 and no one has caught leprosy.
IT IS ECCLESIASTICAL INTIMIDATION THAT IS WHY GOD DOES NOT HONOR IT.
If a preacher does what is good, we are to spread it around to glorify God, and when he does what is bad and God allows it to come out as an act of Judgment, we are also to talk about it till men and women learn righteousness, period!
When the scandal of a preacher has come out or as about coming out, they begin to use their Ecclesiastical powers to intimidate people so that they will not do anything about it but allow it to become a spiritual virus in the church.
The Bible says
“have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness but expose them.”
But the bishop said “if you expose us, God will send you leprosy.” Only the ignorant will ignore God and believe the bishop.
It is holy men and women of God like Moses that we should be careful about, not sin loving, wickedness encouraging, scandalous and desecrated preachers like the Sons of Eli and Simon the sorcerer. We are to talk about the sin and evil they are doing so that it will not be treated as righteousness by the immature.
Do not forget Moses had no scandal in his ministry. That was why God judge Miriam and Aaron.
He was spotless before God. He did not even use the gold he collected from the people on himself like many preaches do today. He did not even own a house. He did not steal from the people or lied to them. God said He was faithful in all His house, that was why Miriam was cursed with leprosy.
Preacher, if you want God to send leprosy to people for revealing your dirty secrets you are deluded. It will never happen. But if you are as pure as Moses, and match his credentials as witness by the LORD Himself, you will not need to pray or warn that God will send leprosy to your members, because Moses never did. You will not need to intimidate anyone. You will be silent and meek like Moses was and then see God take care of your detractors by Himself.
It is so sad how spiritual leaders and Church elders have turn themselves into predators to devour their members who see things and talk about them. The Church is not a cult. The only thing you should not spread is a lie.
BUT IF WHAT YOU SAW IS TRUE, AND GOD STIRS YOU ABOUT IT, THEN SAY IT SO THAT PEOPLE CAN BE SAVED FROM POLLUTED FOUNTAINS.
Jesus live and died for all of us to be saved and for us not to have fellowship with sin, iniquity or trespass. We must allow that to be fulfilled in our lives. He was driven by a redemptive purpose. We should be driven by the same. He exposed the hypocrisy of the bishops and spiritual leaders of His day publicly. Go read Matthew 23 and see it. He still does it today using men and women like you and I.
Before the cross He used men like Elijah, Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Hosea Micah and etc. to expose the rot in the spiritual leadership of their days.
So, every generation will witness the same move of Christ; our inclusive. Yes, those men were intimidated too when the LORD was using them, but they did not bow to the dragon. The kept their mouths open for the LORD, as He propels them.
Do not allow anyone to intimidate this year. Live your life with the fear of God not the fear of threatening preachers. God does not threaten people. Let the voice of roaring lion in the voice of perverted preachers not inflict you with fear.
Lastly, I want to admonish that you spend the days of this year living a life that is prophetic purpose driven. Man was designed by God to live His earthly life according to divine purpose, and nothing else. If you do not live your life according to divine purpose, you are life a train not traveling on its rail. You will have so much problems in life.
Sometime people confuse divine purpose with the blessing God creates to help us fulfill them. They make those blessing their pursuit in life instead of divine purpose. In God’s plan, we are not to pursue the blessings but God’s purpose for our lives. The blessings are designed to be the reward of living a prophetic purpose driven life.
For instance, getting and staying married is not a divine purpose but a blessing God grants one who will need it to fully live the prophetic purpose He created them to unleash. That was why men like Elijah, Elisha, Jesus and Paul did not get married. It was not part of the blessing they needed to fulfill why God sent them into time.
God designed marriage to be an empowerment for fulfilling purpose. People who do not treat it that way will ruin their lives because of marriage; sometime even eternally.
YOU DO NOT MAKE GETTING AND STAYING MARRIED A PURPOSE IN LIFE. IT IS AN INCENTIVE FOR FULFILLING A PURPOSE THAT NEEDS IT TO BE FULFILLED.
You will always live a wasted Christian life if you take getting and staying married your purpose on earth. Do not forge that When God Created Man, He gave Him purpose before giving him marriage. That is why no one can get or stay happily married until he or she have discovered prophetic purposed.
If a marriage will be blissful and strong even in the midst of storms, it must be built around prophetic purpose. Prophetic purpose is the reason for blessings in God’s kingdom. If a blessing is not built around it, that blessings can become curses in the lives of people.
That is why marriage has become a curse in the lives of some.
You must also understand that getting rich is not a divine purpose. It is an incentive for fulfilling prophetic purpose. If you take getting rich as your purpose, you will become a worshiper of mammon. And Jesus said we cannot serve God and mammon.
Money-making should not be why we are a life. Fulfilling the prophetic reason for our birth should be the reason. Then God will bless us with money as an incentive to fulfilling the purpose. You will live a wasted life like the rich fool in Luke 12:13-21 who got very rich but could not channel it towards divine purpose if you do not pursue prophetic purpose and allow God bless you with money.
We must understand that God gave man purpose before giving Him prosperity. Prosperity itself is not the purpose for living but a means for the release of divine purpose. You see, God will keep some in just enough level of prosperity until they discover His purpose for their lives.
He will give them high finances until they get established in the revelation of what He allowed them to be formed in their mother’s womb for. As soon as that happens, financial prosperity will then begin to come to them supernaturally.
In fact, high finances are buried in a man’s prophetic purpose. That is why as soon as you discover it, God will begin to bring it to you to unleash it. You must understand that getting money is an empowerment for the release of divine purpose. We can go on and on.
There are so many things in life we take for divine purpose that are not, but are basically empowerment and preparation for the release of divine purpose. You must understand that this year and not mix it up!
The Bible says Jesus was “going about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil.” But it He had stopped there, got married and settled down in family life, like many of us would do.
That would have defeated His purpose. Instead He went to the cross and died for our redemption. That was His purpose for coming. Marriage would have defeated that purpose. That was why He never got married.
Many are single today because marriage is not part of their empowerment for the release of destiny. This morning God is urging us to wake up to the revelation of our prophetic purpose.
Our devotional text today was a statement Paul made. He said
“Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.”
This man knew that getting saved was just the beginning of a prophetic purpose driven life. He knew there was something that made God to arrest and get him saved, and was determined to find it and tailor his life around it. That thing was his prophetic purpose.
Friend, until you press on to lay hold on your prophetic purpose, evil will keep laying hold on you. Blessings will never come to you until you are rooted in your divine purpose. People who have not laid hold on what made Christ to lay hold on them will always be in need of deliverance.
When you step into prophetic purpose, you will step out of any form of captivity. Permanent deliverance from all works of the devil is only released when a man step into divine purpose.
