TODAY’S DEVOTION (MONDAY 31ST OCTOBER 2022)
“ If anyone says to you then, Behold, here is the Christ (the Messiah)! or, There He is!—do not believe it.
For false Christs and false prophets will arise, and they will show great signs and wonders so as to deceive and lead astray, if possible, even the elect (God’s chosen ones).
See, I have warned you beforehand.
So if they say to you, Behold, He is in the wilderness (desert)—do not go out there; if they tell you, Behold, He is in the secret places or inner rooms—do not believe it.” Matthew 23:23-26 AMPC
WELCOME TO THE 304TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF AMAZING GRACE!
What a faithful God we serve. What a loving Father that sits over us. Our days have been meaningful on earth because of Him. He has been our help and king.
His mercies have been washing our lives with His precious blood and filling us with His precious word.
For 31-days today, it had been a beautiful journey of faith, looking at the matters of the Blessed Holy Spirit. Though we did not cover every detail of it, the little we did is enough for anyone of us to use in starting or maintaining a fruitful relationship with the Holy Spirit, with the aim of fulfilling our destinies as gods of the Most High God.
God is the Alpha and Omega.
There are two meanings of that. First it means, “the beginning and the end.” That is why whenever He begins a good work in us or for us, He always take it to the end. He began this 31-day journey with us at the start of the month and here we are today.
Personally, I faced some things that would have truncated the journey. I did some other things that would have also truncated the Journey, but I saw His grace came through on each occasion to keep our feet going.
It happened because He is by nature, the alpha and the Omega. He will not even allow what we may be facing or may have done wrong to stop a good work He started.
GOD HIMSELF KNOWS THAT IT IS NOT EASY TO BEAR A KINGDOM YOKE IN THE FLESH WE ALL LIVE IN.
When I say the flesh am referring to the earthen vessel.
He lived in this vessel type for 33 and half years, and saw all the limitations. That is why He supplies grace and mercies to us, by the power of His Holy Spirit ,each time we cry unto Him for help.
The Bible says;
“Inasmuch then as we have a great High Priest Who has [already] ascended and passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession [of faith in Him].
For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weakness and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning.
“Let, us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God’s unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it].” Hebrews 4:14-16 AMPC
I believe it is because of what the word said in this scripture about our LORD and savior Jesus Christ that He will never allow our weaknesses, infirmities, and liability to the assaults of temptation to stop any good work He begins in or through us.
Except we become outright rebellious and sinful, there is no way His good work can stop in our lives. It will be brought to the finish. He is the alpha and Omega, and that nature will always allow the good work He started in or with us, not to be brought to an end but to be brought to the finished.
No demon can actually stop what God begins in our lives except we step out of His will and ways. This nature of God (as Alpha and Omega) will always bring the visions, plans, and purposes that He begins in our lives to the finish.
This is the nature of God that took us from the first day of the month to today, the final day.
But there is a second meaning of the phrase “Alpha and Omega” it means “the beginning and the end that begins again and keeps beginning and keeps ending.” I hope you understand me. It is the part of God that perpetuate things.
That is the aspect of God that tells us why His mercies, kindness, goodness, and even revelation of who He is, is inexhaustible. It tells why the more you know God the more you realize you have not known Him. It tells us why everything about Him is unsearchable.
UNDERSTAND THAT GOD BEGINS AND ENDS, AND BEGINS AND ENDS, AND CONTINUOUS THAT WAY CONSTANTLY.
That is why we believe as we step into the new month, Heaven will give us something fresh to feed on throughout the new month.
The final lap of this journey with revelations on the Blessed Holy Spirit is taking us to an aspect of Bible Prophecy that is worthy to note.
At the onset of this journey the LORD spoke to us about the mission of the Holy Spirit to set out lives in order.
Then we move into His final mission which is to make us gods or Sons of the One and Only True God. That was the revelation that took us to what we saw on the nine gifts of the Spirit.
Now, it is important to note that the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit can be counterfeited successfully by the evil one when he enters the Church system to function. The Bible made it clear that when he enters the church system, he comes in as an angel of light.
Light means illumination or enlightenment. He will seek to show us things that we do not know; things that runs contrary to the will and ways of the LORD. That was what he did to Eve.
He will always seek to throw what appears like light and understanding to us, a better dream, to thwart God’s ways or subvert and pollute them. There are so many ways the enemy employs to do that. One of the ways is by creating counterfeits.
I have seen people manifest the counterfeits gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Do not forget, just as God is raising fallen men to function as His gods or Sons on earth, Satan is also raising fallen men to function as his gods and sons on earth.
JESUS ALLUDED TO THIS WHEN HE SAID;
“The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.” Matthew 13:38-39 KJV
This scripture makes it clear that the world as we know it is a dwelling place of gods or Sons of God and gods or sons of Satan.
The sons or gods of the Almighty God are here to implement His agenda while the gods and sons of Satan are here to implement his agenda, the agenda of resisting the Kingdom of God through so many things including counterfeiting what is God.
The Bible prophecy made it clear that some of the gods or sons of the evil one will manifest great wonders, and present themselves as Christ or prophets of God.
They will do so using the counterfeits gifts of the Spirit. That is why these days if you call any supernatural manifestation you see as God, it’s a sign that you can be deceived.
Child of GOD, matters of the gifts of the Spirit calls for serious caution. A lot of what we see in Church today is either born of the flesh or outright demons.
Understand that Satan can perfectly counterfeit the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and present his sons (or gods) as Christ to the lost world. He can even do it in such a way that God’s chosen ones who are not walking in the knowledge of the truth, can be deceived.
A major portion of Our devotional text says;
“false Christs and false prophets will arise, and they will show great signs and wonders so as to deceive and lead astray, if possible, even the elect (God’s chosen ones). See, I have warned you beforehand.” Matthew 24:24-25 AMPC
These false Christs and false prophets will be activated by the counterfeit gifts of the Spirit. They will be energized by the evil one and planted in our age (like it has always happened) to deceive.
Sadly, we have so many of them today! The most painful part is the number of God’s chosen ones who are not walking in the knowledge of the truth, who have believed them and are financing their ministries, is growing daily.
So, many believers are the ones oiling the wheels of the spirit of the evil one that has entered the Church system to operate in people and present them as either the Christ to those in need, or the mightiest prophet.
Like I have always said, the desire to be like God that led to the fall of Lucifer has not left him.
COUNTERFEITING GOD HAS BEEN HIS ETERNAL DREAM AND DRIVE.
A counterfeit is always a perverse copy of an original. When the enemy counterfeits, he is always perfect. You will need the manifestation of the Holy Spirit as the spirit of Truth to know the difference.
I admonish you to keep these blessed truths that came this month in view and in your quest to operate the gifts of the Spirit be careful not to tap into any realm.
Take time to study your Bible deeply and find a Church where the Holy Spirit manifest as the Spirit of Truth and plant yourself there.

But also [in those days] there arose false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among yourselves, who will subtly and stealthily introduce heretical doctrines (destructive heresies), even denying and disowning the Master Who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.
And many will follow their immoral ways and lascivious doings; because of them the true Way will be maligned and defamed.
And in their covetousness (lust, greed) they will exploit you with false (cunning) arguments. From of old the sentence [of condemnation] for them has not been idle; their destruction (eternal misery) has not been asleep.
For God did not [even] spare angels that sinned, but cast them into hell, delivering them to be kept there in pits of gloom till the judgment and their doom.
And He spared not the ancient world, but preserved Noah, a preacher of righteousness, with seven other persons, when He brought a flood upon the world of ungodly [people].
And He condemned to ruin and extinction the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, reducing them to ashes [and thus] set them forth as an example to those who would be ungodly;
And He rescued righteous Lot, greatly worn out and distressed by the wanton ways of the ungodly and lawless— For that just man, living [there] among them, tortured his righteous soul every day with what he saw and heard of [their] unlawful and wicked deeds—
Now if [all these things are true, then be sure] the Lord knows how to rescue the godly out of temptations and trials, and how to keep the ungodly under chastisement until the day of judgment and doom,” 2 Peter 2:1-9 AMPC
