THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (THURSDAY 28TH NOVEMBER 2024)

“Then Abram went up from Egypt, he and his wife and all that he had, and Lot with him, to the South. Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold.” Genesis 13:1-2 NKJV

WELCOME TO THE 333RD DAY OF OUR YEAR OF IMPACT.

We bless our LORD and saviour Jesus Christ for giving us another day. Not everyone who slept last night woke up this morning. He did not keep us because we are better than them. No, not at all. It is out of His mercies that we are not consumed, for His compassion fails not.

Indeed, as David would have put it if he were here, if the LORD should mark iniquities, we shall not stand. But there is forgiveness with Him so that He may be feared.

It’s a great privilege to serve the God who created Heaven and earth and to hear Him call us His own.

It’s a privilege to get out of a life of sin, separate from the evil and corrupt systems of this world, and break ties with everything satanic and be separated unto Christ alone. In the eyes of the New Testament, that was the symbol of what our father Abraham did when he was called out of his father’s house.

Genuine salvation involves walking away from darkness and clinging unto Jesus Christ – the true light; not for one day, two days, one month or one year but forever.

That is how we become rich in spiritual and earthly Blessings.

However, the greatness of each one’s riches is determined by so many factors which space will not let me state. One of it is our ability to follow Jesus without missing one step – our ability to make His footsteps our pathways.

No one follows Jesus Christ in spirit and in truth and miss the riches of His mercies, the riches of His grace and the riches of His glory; especially this end times.

The reason for that is simple. Those kingdom riches are who He is and are capable of making earthly riches available to us.

And there is so much to do with both spiritual and natural riches this end times, especially in view of transforming moral landscapes and leading men and women genuinely to the LORD.

In our devotional today’s, I will be sharing with us about natural richness. I hope you are ready!

To start with, I want to submit to you that God wants you to prosper; especially as your soul prosper.

I am sure you may not have heard these words; that is God wants you to prosper as your soul prospers. Because many do not care about the prosperity of their souls or relationship with God.

THEY JUST WANT HIS MONEY!

Metaphorically, we are the wife of Christ, that is if we are not part of the corrupt church. We will be a very bad wife if all we want is His money and not a relationship with Him.

A believer who just wants the money that Christ make available and not a relationship with him, is part of the harlot Church; the corrupt church.

Friend, God wants us to prosper economically, as our walk and talk with Him prospers. But we must not be what the corrupt church has been, neither should we desire the economic might of Babylon.

However, we should understand that like every good Father will desire for his Children, God wants every of His Child to prosper financially.

Sadly, some are not prospering because they do not understand what prosperity is all about. Many people think financial prosperity in God, is having all your need and canning all you have.

They take materialism for prosperity, hence piercing themselves with many sorrows.

Others even believe financial Prosperity is not for the righteous. They believe that poverty and adversity is a mark of true discipleship. They do not realize that this was a maxim propagated by certain group of elites many years back, through certain priests to keep the poor who seek the LORD poor, and the rich who do not rich.

The devil knows that an economically rich and righteous Child of God, is a very effective tool of kingdom advance in God’s hands. He knows that with his kingdom wealth and connection with God, he can do so much for the LORD on the face of the earth.

The truth is, if you have a wrong believe of anything in the kingdom of God, it will hinder you from manifesting the blessing of the kingdom in that aspect of your life.

We must come into an accurate revelation of prosperity in the kingdom of God to live in prosperity as God’s kingdom citizens.

I have said repeatedly that revelation or supernatural knowing is Heaven’s clearance to the earth to come into things supernatural – especially things that will equip us financially to do God’s blessed will.

These are not days of walking in darkness or wrong understanding of things in the kingdom.

THESE ARE DAYS OF CLARITY OF VISION AND REVELATION.

Jesus indeed said if we want to be His disciples, we must carry our cross daily and follow Him. That cross is not perpetual poverty and adversity but the price of doing divine will.

You could be rich and still carry the cross of doing His will with your riches. So, the cross is not poverty.

Some hold another dangerous view; they believe Jesus was poor so they should also be poor. This will not even let money come to you, because it is wrong.

Your revelation is what determined the results you get from the labor of your hands.

So, if you hold the wrong view, you destroy the channel that the power to get wealth would have used in flowing into your hands to bless the labor of your hands.

It is important you hold the right revelation and have money in your hands as you work with your hands. It is important that you embrace the truth about God’s will for your economic life and not traditions.

When the Bible says Jesus was poor, it was a comparison with the eternal glory He stripped Himself of, in other to become man and die on the cross for us all. It was not an economic poverty.

The Bible made it clear that whatever the earth considers as glorious is poverty compared to what Heaven consider as glorious.

God wants you to prosper financially and the system He has ordained for you to use is the working-with-your-hands system. Not stealing, lying, cheating, sleeping around or cutting corners. But working with your hands honestly and allowing Him to bless you over time.

Any other way you use to get money into your pocket, might prosper you for a season but send diseases and all kinds of evil into your life.

If you have children, a time will come when you will begin to watch them becoming wayward, criminals, or a source of pain to you in another way.

If you do not have children, you will attract other forms of evil to your life. So, it pays to walk with the LORD, and allow Him to give you the money you need to live a beautiful life on earth and serve Him abundantly.

BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT WHILE YOU WORK.

Yes, you will have to work with your hands, maintaining the right relationship with him, and having the right revelation in your heart.

The right relationship will involve not walking in darkness in any way. The Bible teaches that if you do that over time, the power to get wealth will break forth in your lives, through the labor of your hands. It says,

“Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night.

He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.” Psalm 1:1-3 NKJV

If you look at this scripture, you will see clearly that, except the person is having a strong influence over your life to follow something he or she is following, it is not really who you follow that determines how your life turns out economically, but what you follow.

If you follow the counsel of the ungodly, do not expect good things to happen to you economically.

If you are good at standing in the ways of sinners, do not expect the power to get wealth from God to follow you and bless your life. If you are sitting on the seat of the scornful, do not expect kingdom wealth to follow you and be in your house.

It is what you follow that determines what follows you. Yes, it is not even your prayer, but your following. Prayer if done properly will help us separate from what not to follow and be joined to what to follow.

The scripture says the word of the LORD is what we should follow.

You cannot follow what you do not know, that is why the Bible teaches that you must meditate on the word day and night, applying it in every area of your life, and boosting your relationship with God.

If you do, you will always find a fresh word from the LORD to follow on daily bases for good things to follow you; resulting in your economic life becoming like a tree planted by the rivers of water, and whatever you do shall prosper. The word says,

“…He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.” Psalm 1:3 NKJV

This is an outbreak of the power to get wealth following those who follow the word of the LORD. It is when that power breaks out in our lives, that we can begin to prosper financially, especially by the work of our hands.

THAT WAS THE POWER THAT MADE ABRAHAM RICH WHEN HE GOT TO EGYPT.

It is the same power you need to become rich economically. The Bible teaches that it is not of Him who wills or runs, but of God who shows mercy. The mercy comes as the power to get wealth, making the work of your hands produce money to you. Our devotional text says,

“Then Abram went up from Egypt, he and his wife and all that he had, and Lot with him, to the South. Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold.” Genesis 13:1-2 NKJV

Child of God, Heaven cannot afford to keep God’s people poor.

Satan will prefer you poor and his own people rich so they can spread his influence, and you meet them for financial help. But that plan is defeated in Jesus precious name.

You will not be poor. You will walk in light and see wealth from Heaven follow you. Amen!!

As we bring this to a close, understand that God needs our money, not to satisfy the greed of preachers, but to save souls from eternal damnation.

As He begins to bless you, withdraw your giving from heretic teachers who tell people to redeem themselves as first born, silence the voices crying against them from the village, sow seeds and be free from this or that, raise or silence altars and etc.

Giving money to such people is offering sacrifices to Baal.

Stop offering sacrifices to Baal. Sadly, that is what all who are in such churches or under such prophets are doing. Stop doing that please. It will hurt you one day.

Yes, you might get a breakthrough, but the devil who gave you that breakthrough will return to eat you up.

I reiterate again that God does not want you poor. If you are poor, it is not His will. It is sabotaging His work and making life difficult for you, and He is not happy about that.

But you must start following His word day and night, working with your hands and serving your generation according to His will so that His power to get wealth will begin to follow you.

As you embrace this day, I want you to understand that money was not meant to be on our head but under our feet. God created earthly treasures not to be served but to serve His will. May your life never lack them, in Jesus precious name. Amen and amen.

LET THIS SCRIPTURE BE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR YOU TODAY

“Mercy and truth have met together; Righteousness and peace have kissed. Truth shall spring out of the earth, And righteousness shall look down from heaven.

Yes, the LORD will give what is good; And our land will yield its increase.

Righteousness will go before Him, and shall make His footsteps our pathway.” Psalm 85:10-13 NKJV
