TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL (Friday 17TH September 2021)
“Our God is the God of salvation; and to God the Lord belong escapes from death.” Psalm 68:20 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 261ST DAY OF OUR YEAR OF HIGHER HEIGHTS!
Glory be the LORD GOD of taking us through the days we have seen this year. Day by day His light has been shinning truths into our hearts. He has never left us without a word from His throne any day! Paul puts it this way;
“For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” 2 Corinthians 4:6 NKJV
He is faithful and ever loving. For the sake of His own, He can cloth Himself with great zeal and roar for their rescue. That is why the righteous falls seven times (not into sin) and bounces back.
The roar of our God is what neutralizes our enemies and bring us back from any kind of fall like He brought Job back. For job it was two times (God gave Him double) but for us it will be seven times. Hallelujah!
This morning we shall be looking at “Supernatural Escapes from Death and all forms of Wickedness by the word of the LORD”. Thank God for the Covid-19 threat that is abating. There are other threats facing mankind, especially the ambassadors of Christ.
We need to understand certain mysteries about the Kingdom of God we all belong and the privileges the Holy Spirit was given to bring us into. One of those privileges is the privilege of experiencing the manifest presence of the LORD in our lives to defend us from all evil.
Personally, I consider the manifest presence of the LORD as the ultimate security we have from the perils or threats of life. All through the ages, it is people who knew and then carried the manifest presence of God that have enjoyed one form of protection of the other. Moses knew it so well that he had to tell God, “If your presence will not go with us, please do not bring us there.”
HE WAS ONE OF THE BIBLE MEN WHO RODE ON THE POWER OF GOD’S MANIFEST PRESENCE.
Now, if you study the Bible very well, you will understand that the manifest presence of God does not just show up except it is summoned of beckoned. The Omni presence of God is everywhere but his manifest presence is not everywhere. It is God’s Omni presence that translates into His manifest presence each time His manifest presence is beckoned.
In God’s kingdom, there are things we do or uphold that summons God’s manifest presence to us. I call them, tools that put God’s manifest presence to work in our lives. These tools are the spiritual things that summons God’s presence to secure us from the gates of the enemy, especially the gates of death.
It makes escape from death and other forms of wickedness possible. One of these tools is a present word from the LORD. In other word, an immediate present word from the throne room of God or a Rhema word you must hold unto tightly, trust in with all your heart, cling unto even when all men depart from you, or feed and meditate upon from time to time.
That is the kind of word that the Bible says “must not depart from our mouth.” Something you must meditate on day in and day out. I hope someone understands me!
Man indeed was not designed to live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God! That is why you will be spiritually “worthless” when you are prophetically “wordless.”
You see, there is something about words that many do not realize.
Words are very powerful in the spirit realm. Depending on the spirit behind them, they can open up things and close down some. They are the access codes to hidden blessings in the Kingdom of God. By them men are condemned and by them men are justified.
WORDS ARE THE ACTIVATORS OF EVERYTHING IN THE SPIRIT REALM.
For instance, when it comes to doing business, a word from the is God’s capital for the startup and execution of that business. When it comes to executing god’s kingdom projects, a word form Him is all we need from start to finish.
Man may give you money to start up a business or a project, if there is no word from the LORD, that business will fail and the project stopped. Man gives money but God gives prophetic words to start up a project. You may not have money, but if the word of the LORD is with you, money will come to you.
When it comes to the importance of a word from the LORD in our lives, understand that if God is sending you on an errand, He will not give you pocket money to start up the journey. He will give you prophetic truths to start up the journey. Then the word will produce all you need for the journey.
As earlier stated, there may be no money to execute a kingdom assignment in your pocket, but if there is a word from the LORD, everything you need for the assignment will be made available.
I have come to realize that people, who are attentive to genuine prophetic words, do not get stranded in life. Like I have always shared; when we first came to East Africa for Missions, everyone was asking me, “Which missionary Organization sent you? Do you have money for your upkeep and for the work you have come here to do?” I was puzzled and almost weakened by the questions.
Then I look at some of them and said, “None of the above.” We do not have money or backup from anywhere in the world. We just have “a word from the LORD!”
Today, after many months of stay in Nairobi Kenya, doing only what the LORD brought us here to do; I can tell you that God’s proceeding word is much more of a backup than any missionary organization in any mission field of the world.
Ministers who are going about looking for money or help from here and there are missing it. Some trust in chariots others in their horses but we will remember the name of the LORD!! If a seed of corn has not fallen down and died, it will abide alone.
Our ministry is a living proof that words from God are more valuable than money because they bring the money for the work.
MONEY MAY FAIL BUT GOD’S WORD ABIDES FOREVER! SO GO FOR THE WORD!
Sometimes back, a journalist asked me what the secret of the success of our ministry is? I told Him honestly, I do not know! Truly I do not know because I don’t know what else am doing other than walking with the LORD day and night to get His work done on earth as written in Heaven.
The word of the LORD that brought us here is the reason for the success of the work of the LORD in our hands. You will need the word before you do anything because the word will bring the power, the provision and the people to do the work.
God did not bring us here with money. He did not give a startup capital. He gave us a startup word. That was all we needed and that is all we still hold unto today. We have been through storms, battles, and seasons of tears, but His word has helped us to experience joy at the end.
God’s word that brought us here has been our resource for the work.
Child of God, if you want to walk with the LORD, or do anything with Him, you will need to hold onto His word daily.
You will need to make it a light unto your feet and a lamp unto your path. You will need to turn it into a sword of the Spirit to confront everything that may be confronting you in prayer. You must have faith in his word and fight with it.
Do not forget, if God created everything by the word of His mouth, then there is nothing His proceeding word cannot do. Understand that the power of the proceeding word is the manifest presence of God it summons.
Jesus said,
“The words that I speak to you, they are spirits and they are life.”
God’s proceeding word is the missing element in the lives of so many today that is why things are bad. There is no manifest presence of GOD in their lives to them good.
SADLY, SATAN KNOWS THE POWER OF GOD’S PRECEDING WORDS THAN MOST OF US.
He knows the dimensions of power it can bring down from the Throne Room of God. That is why he will fill us with pride, arrogance, or ignorance, destroy every sense of value for it or for those who preaches it.
You see, Satan may not stop you from praying or singing so long as you lack the humility to be taught the word; what will save you from his grips.
Our devotional text this morning is a proceeding word for anyone whose life is under any kind of threat. The Bible says “to God belongs escape from death” not to man.
ARE YOU BEING HUNTED BE PREMATURE DEATH? ARE YOU UNDER ANY KIND OF THREAT?
Or you are just afraid that you might just fall and die. God is saying to you this morning “to me belong escape from death.” It means no disease, messenger of death, circumstances or threat can kill you until God say so.
While this scriptural position may not be true in the life of those who have no relationship with God, it is true in the life of those who have.
Sometimes, when men think they have you for the kill, they are lying to the teeth. They may succeed on others before their time but not on the seed of the God who says “to me belong escapes from death.” You shall not die but live to declare the word of the LORD, in Jesus precious name. AMEN!!
I have seen God break the fangs of death and bring precious souls out of its grip by a proceeding word from His Throne. You are the next on His list. Just turn His proceeding word today into one of the following;
1. TURN IT INTO A BOAT TO RIDE IN through those storms…it could be the storms of nightmares, death threats or curses from aggrieved people, spells from witch doctors, and etc. Do not forget that for those of us in divine will, Satan can only bark at us but cannot bite us.
2. TURN IT INTO A SWORD TO FIGHT WITH through intense prayers against the battles of life. It could be a battle with cancer, HIV/AIDS, a bad dream, or any other fatal thing. Use the word to fight!
3. TURN IT INTO GREAT WINGS TO RIDE ON through the heights of success… Yes, success sometimes makes one afraid of his life. Only the rich or successful knows this fact! That is why the more money you have, the more security conscious you become. But if you ride on the wind of this word from the LORD, you will be established above the enemy.
