TODAY’S DEVOTION (Sunday 14th November 2021)
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Galatians 6:9 KJV
WELCOME TO THE 317TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF HIGHER HEIGHTS.
With very few days to go this year, according to the Gregorian calendar, we cannot but say “God you have been faithful.” He has watched over us and done so much than we can ever think or imagine. He made sure our enemies did not rejoice over us.
A lot was thrown at us this year, but He stood with us that is why we are standing in Him. The best part is, He did not deal with us according to our sins but according to His righteousness. He washed us when we failed and brought us back on our feet so that iniquity will not be our ruin. He deserves all the praise!
To some us, getting to this times of the year is a big miracle because of how we got into the year itself. There was no hope of survival but the LORD sustained us. Indeed, we have seen great things in these 317 days. God’s word certainly does not fail. It was higher heights galore according to His word, and now we are already enjoying the blessing of His amazing grace.
If you want to know if GOD’s word can fail or not look at our lives. You do not just need to look at His word; just look at our lives, then you will realize that His word does not fail. No force in Heaven or on earth can make it fail.
Apart from being a faithful God who keeps His promises, His word also has an inbuilt performance power. It has capacity to fulfill itself. People all over Bible days who understood this saved a lot of energy in their lives sailing on God’s word that does not fail.
I think we should not fail to do what they did any day of our lives.
We should not fail to save our energies by sailing on His word on daily bases. People who have no energy at all or resources of their own, can tap into His word and allow it shape their lives and make them glorious. It is His word that the no bodies need to hang on to become somebodies. It is His word the derailed and deceived not to encounter to be delivered.
It His word the weak need to log on to become strong and valiant in the battles of life. It is His word the captive need to believe in to have their chains broken. It is His word the sick needs to get Healed.
The Roman Soldier said to the LORD, “I am not worthy that you come to my house, speak the word only and my servant will be healed.”
HE DID NOT SOW A SEED TO JESUS OR RAISE AN ALTAR OF SACRIFICE, HE JUST RECEIVED THE WORD AND THAT SETTLED IT.
These kinds of miracles are common in the Cry of the Spirit where I pastor because there is so much word from God that unlocks all we need form Heaven. We do not engage in all the games and gimmicks of most present day preachers to get all they can and can all they get from suffering souls. Things that God will judge severely in the next life.
Like Paul, our apostolic father and ministry pattern, we believe the gospel should not be mutilated for private gains. People should be told the truth of the gospel and nothing but the truth. They should be taught how to sail on the word of the LORD and watch the LORD of the word change their lives. They should build their faith in the power of God and not the wisdom of men.
The man of God said this to the Church at Corinth, concerning what drives his preaching;
“And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:4-5 NJKV
For your faith to be built on the power of God, it must be anchored on the word of God’s power. For it to be anchored on the word of God’s power, you must understand that the word of the is all you need not the deliverance inventions of religious men and women.
The simplicity of getting help from Go without all the complications of sowing this seed, doing this fast, travelling to this mountain or this country to see this or that, man or woman of God and all that have been destroyed today by the desperation and gullible nature of hurting men and preying hearts of the money and fame hungry preachers that the Bible call the enemy of the Cross.
A LOT OF ERRORS HAVE BEEN TAUGHT AND BELIEVED AND THE CONSEQUENCES ARE TERRIBLE.
It will take centuries to convince some people today that getting help from God is as simple as demonstrated in the story of the centurion and Jesus! Like that Roman soldier, we must know that it is the word only that should be spoken to us and that is what we need.
That is the catalyst of change in God’s kingdom. If we add any other thing to it, it may still produce miracles, but that will be by the hand of the demon of deliverance.
Concerning the encounter of that man with the LORD the Bible says;
“The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.
For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
“When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!
And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.
But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.” And his servant was healed that same hour. Matthew 8:8-13 NKJV
How come this man understood the spirit realm more than the Jews who had had the Torah in their hands for ages? How come he knew how the kingdom of God function more than those that Jesus called the son of the Kingdom? How come the sons of the very kingdom Jesus ruled over did not know how the kingdom whose sons they are functioned?
THAT IS THE SAME ISSUE WE HAVE TODAY IN THE PRESENT CHURCH.
We belong to the Kingdom of God but many of us do not know how it functions, hence keying into the present days Baals that are presenting themselves as Christ to get supernatural interventions. We use the systems of getting supernatural help in the kingdom of darkness to approach God, thereby tapping into the demonic and calling it the divine.
For instance, many do not know that the raising of altars of sacrifice is not a culture of God’s kingdom hence Jesus never did it even as He ministered among a people who were more demonic than Africans. Because it is being practiced by people they consider as respected men of God hence treated as God’s way of helping them.
There is so much that is being done in Church today that is not God’s kingdom culture. We have complicated everything with our practices and deliverance inventions. We have missed the very simple principles of divine intervention demonstrated in this story. The very thing the Centurion saw; the power of God’s word. He said;
“For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
The complications of religion are terrible. They can make one miss the simple principle that govern divine intervention in God’s kingdom. But I want to submit to you that no matter what happens, do not allow yourself to be caught in the web of religious rituals. That was the bane or destruction of the sons of the Kingdom of Jesus’ day.
THEY COULD NOT ACCEPT THE SIMPLE THEREBY GOING FOR THE COMPLICATED.
The consequence was them not being able to comprehend like the Centurion did. Religion can fill your heart with veils that will prevent you from seeing the way God’s kingdom functions. The Bible says;
“When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!
And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.
But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
The Sons of the Kingdom referred to here were the Jews, but by extension it is now those who gave their lives to Christ, who are not living in His light but in lights invented by Shamanism and all kinds of cultic practices.
Many have been cast into the outer darkness of weeping and gnashing of teeth that is why there is so much need for deliverance. They have been taught every other thing but how to log on to God’s word without getting yourself involved in deliverance rituals like Jesus did to this this Roman soldier.
People who know that it is the word only that they need will get a lot done through God like the centurion. You just need word encounters from God through me who stand in God’s presence like Gabriel.
If you come to that understanding you will not be deceived by charlatans or lying prophets into doing anything to get a breakthrough from the LORD; from whom all blessing flow, freely. You will just log on into His word and watch Him change their world. The Bible says;
“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater,
So shall my word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:10-11 NKJV
When the word of the LORD leaves the throne room to our hearts, the first thing it does is to water it. It waters our hearts with the presence of God that it comes with. If our hearts are humble and contrite, the moisture of God’s presence will rest on it and make the word we heard to bring forth and bud in our spirits.
When it buds in our spirit, it will produce in our lives – giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater.
In other words, bringing the hidden intent of GOD in it to pass in our lives. Child of God, Creation itself is sustained by the word of God’s power. It is therefore important that if we want to be sustained by GOD’s power we don’t take His word for granted!
I believe the message of today has been passed.
