TODAY’S DEVOTION (Friday 3RD December 2021)
“And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.”
“And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.” Joel 2:28-29 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 336TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF HIGHER HEIGHTS.
Slowly we started this year. From the first hour, the LORD made our steps firm. Most of us were not sure what the year had for us, but we trusted the Higher Declaration. Glory to God today we have seen the LORD kept us for three hundred and thirty-six days.
What a great seed of Love He has sown into our lives. He manifested Himself as our redeemer and did much more than words can capture. I have come to discover that life is full of challenges but when you have a good God by your side, it does not matter who is not on your side.
You must be rejected by small minds even when you are doing great and righteous things, before you can be accepted by great minds.
I have this childhood persuasion that has kept me all these years. It says; “if God be for us, it takes a fool to be against us!” We have seen so many miracles since we came to East Africa for ministry. God has been strategically intervening in the battles the enemy has been mustering against us, using men under his sway.
This year alone saw even those who have tested of the presence and goodness of the LORD in our lives and ministry joining the some of the sons of hell in the nation to say all manner of things against us. But none has affected us in any way. I marvel at the way God has been fighting for us and defending us!
To Him belongs all the glory.
This week marks the 9th Year since I first hold an independent meeting in East Africa. The week is really an anniversary week for us. Then it was in small meetings in the little towns of Mwea, Murang’a and Sagana here in Kenya.
The one in the town of Mwea would later explode to tear the small town open for the LORD with lost souls who had been church members of so many churches realizing that they were unsaved and deceived. They had believed the gospel of the antichrist all their lives and where in danger of not just hell but the kingdom of darkness they still belonged to.
JESUS LITERALLY REPEATED WHAT HAPPEN IN ACTS 19, AND ALL HELL LET LOOSED ON US AFTER WE LEFT.
The preachers in the small town teamed up to hurt us when the people called on us to come start a church there. I said to them I cannot leave Nairobi and go there, beside I was yet to know the strategy the LORD brought me here to implement in the establishment of the 3rd day Church in East Africa.
Then we spoke to small cities by mouth, now we are speaking to many nations by Television. That is in 9 years of public meetings. Cry of the Spirit is 8 years old but our public meetings hit 9 years this week.
The first meeting we had as Cry of the Spirit Ministries was called FAMILY LIBERATION SUMMIT, it was full of God’s word and presence. The message that was preached that day was titled “PORTALS OF MERCY.” The attendance was 35 people.
Sadly, we have only six of the 35 people left today (including My Wife and I).
From that meeting, God began to enable us to continue with many other meetings till date. I can say God has enabled us to preach over 1500 messages in these 8 and 9 years.
We started Cry of the Spirit Meetings with 35 people, running non-denominational apostolic teaching ministry. But today we run an Apostolic Word Center with thousands of members, including those we pastor through Television and social media. That is with the hard truths that we have been preaching. Only God can do that.
Indeed, if a Church belongs to Jesus, He will fill it with His word and manifest presence and bring His sheep to lie down. We started with 35 people including children but today Christ has brought in hundreds and now thousands of His sheep to lie down in the green pastures of the Cry of the Spirit Ministries.
TO GOD BE THE GLORY! INDEED, IF GOD BE WITH YOUR SIDE, IT DOES NOT MATTER WHO IS NOT!
The best thing to do on earth is to summit to Christ and spend your years doing just His blessed will! That is exactly what we have been doing since we came to the apostolic fields of East Africa. I can now understand what Paul meant when he said;
“But life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus-the work of telling others the Good News about God’s mighty kindness and love.” Acts 20:24 TLB
My greatest satisfaction in life comes when I am doing things assigned to me by the LORD Jesus. Yes, I have failed several times and disappointed Him in so many ways. I also desecrated myself sometimes in my walk with Him, but He came through for me, lifted me up and set me back on my feet.
God covers our sins when we do not wickedly depart from His ways. Yes, He even covers them when we wickedly depart and return to Him in genuine repentance. I have seen Him do this in my life over the years. He can do it in your life. That is why we must detest sinful living by all means and not keep living a life of sin because He covers us with His grace and glory.
A sin that has no immediate consequence should not be continued, it will become nuclear in destruction if we continue in it.
I encourage you this morning to start spending your days as you should. Stop comparing yourself with people. There is a plan of God for your life, follow it. Compare yourself with it. People may not understand you, just follow it. A time will come that they will understand you.
There is wisdom in spending your days doing only what Jesus assigned you to do. That is the wisdom that many are yet to come to terms with. It gives you all that Jesus offers for those who serve Him.
IT KEEPS THE HOLY SPIRIT WORKING IN YOUR LIFE.
Now, talking about the Holy Spirit, I have come to realize that the Holy Ghost is the Central Bank of God’s wisdom. If you have Him, you have Heavens system of unlocking the depths of God on earth in your life. The Bible says;
“For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.” (1 Corinthians 2:11-12 NKJV)
We cannot over emphasis the necessity of God’s wisdom to us on earth – be it the wisdom of spending your days doing only what he assigns you, or the wisdom to properly management your life daily; it takes the indwelling presence of God to access God’s wisdom on a daily basis. The Holy Spirit in us is the indwelling presence.
He is the custodian of the wisdom of God because He alone knows what is in God. So He helps us to access that wisdom as we fellowship with Him. That is why you must not neglect Him. He is not just the Central Bank of God’s wisdom; He is also God’s Central Intelligence Agency (God’s CIA) on earth. He gathers intelligence for us from the depths of God to help build our lives on earth. The Bible says;
“But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.” 1 Corinthians 2:10-12 NKJV
The intelligence He brings to us from the departments of God are responsible for living peaceful and glorious life on earth. Personally, the intelligence He has constantly bring to me form the LORD Jesus Christ has helped me in doing what He assigned to me and succeeding in it. It has helped in protecting me form myself and from others.
YES, SOMETIME WE NEED TO BE PROTECTED FROM OURSELVES.
The intelligence the Holy Spirit brings from the LORD who made us helps us in protecting us from ourselves because sometimes we are our own enemies. It is possible and very easy to become your own enemy after God has given you rest from your enemies.
As God’s Central Intelligence Agency on earth, the Holy Spirit also gathers intelligence for us from the kingdom of darkness and the kingdom of men. This is to protect us from their evil plans against us like He gathered for Elisha reporting even what was being planned from the bedroom of the King of Syria.
If you do not have this Central Intelligence service of the Holy Spirit in your life, your enemies will always have you for dinner. You will be making foolish decisions and bringing swift destruction to your life. People who carry Him in their spirits do not walk in foolishness.
Apart from transforming us to live a Christian life with moral excellence and function in the Kingdom with power and the glory, the primary purpose of the Holy Spirit is to animate us with GOD’s wisdom including the revelation of the things that have been freely given to us.
In other words, one of the things He does is to impart divine wisdom into us by gathering intelligence for us and unfolding mysteries or hidden truths to us. On this note the Bible says;
“Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.” 1 Corinthians 2:12 NKJV
THIS AND OTHER UNSTATED REASONS ARE WHAT MAKE THE HOLY GHOST THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH.
He is so important to the Human race that the enemy fights relentless to sway men to ignore Him completely. Ignoring Him is the best way to keep people of God powerless and devour able.
Satan knows that if we give the Holy Ghost His place in our lives, we will become flames of supernatural fire making the earth too hot for his activities and kingdom. That is why he even got the Church stuck to “the anointing oil” that was instituted in the Old Testament to announce the coming of the Holy Ghost.
The greatest hindrance to genuine infilling of the Holy Ghost in so many churches today is a Christianity mixed with worldliness, with bottles of anointing Oil used to replace the true anointing of the Holy Ghost. Friend, the true anointing of the Holy Ghost cannot be put in a bottle.
God wants it in your life. And the Only way you can have it is to receive what we call an outpouring of the Holy Ghost upon your life. Our devotional text today is a prophecy that is yet to be fulfilled in the lives of so many because of this anointing oil madness that we got ourselves stuck in.
It says;
“And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.”
Have you received this outpouring as a Christian?
I am not asking if you have ever fallen under the anointing. I am asking if God has poured His Holy Ghost upon you like it happened in the day of Pentecost. The journey into the Season of the Feast of Tabernacle as I shared yesterday is not possible without experience your Pentecost. Not the fake one many have experienced.
SADLY, MOST PRESENT DAY PENTECOSTALS DO NOT HAVE THE HOLY GHOST.
They have a douse of His anointing but do not have His person that is why they speak in powerless tongues, and go for deliverance every week.
Your life will become a pillar of fire spiritually if God pours His Holy Ghost upon you like He did in Acts 2. You will be animated to operate the wisdom of God and to do supernatural things like the early Church when it happens. Simply put, you will be turned into another man!
Friend, if you want to become a devil chaser instead of being the one chased by devils, you do not need the anointing Oil in a bottle that your Bishops call “power instruments,” you need an outpouring of the Holy Ghost. Anything about God you limit to a bottle or other things makes you a sorcerer and a Charismatic witch.
God want to pour His Holy Spirit into your life and turn you into a small “G” on the face of the earth so you can join the angels in the invisible realm to convert the Kingdoms of this world into that of God and of his Christ. He wants to pour what will baptize you with supernatural wisdom.
