TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL (Friday 31ST December 2021)
Then the Lord turned to him and said, “Go in this might of yours, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Have I not sent you?”
So he said to Him, “O my Lord, how can I save Israel? Indeed my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.”
And the Lord said to him, “Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midianites as one man.” Judges 6:14-16 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 365TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF HIGHER HEIGHTS.
Finally, the LORD has helped us. He has safely and steadily brought us to the last day of the year. It was indeed not easy; especially for me. It was a journey. I had it very rough most of the months; the most recent between 24th December and today, where the enemy used the least expected to make my life terrible.
I guess you also have your own story to tell and tears to shed, but finally, we are here! The LORD our Ebenezer helped us all to arrive at this date. Celebrate Jesus; king of Kings and LORD or lords.
For 365 days of the year we have enjoyed so much of His mercies, interventions, revelations, provisions, attention, answers to prayers, protection, preservation and impartation. It has been a year we enjoyed divine backing as never before. In fact, we enjoyed all I mentioned because of divine backing.
Divine backing is a glory product. A glory product is a major blessing of a wave of glory. I remember when the LORD laid the foundation of Waves of Glory for this mantle. We have enjoyed this glory product this year again and again, and we give God the praise!
Talking about Divine backing, Divine backing is God standing with you, for you, in you and around you in all matters. It is the Throne Room of GOD filling your life with the Heavenly because God is for you. This glory product is responsible for the uncommon increase we have seen.
Uncommon increase is an increase that takes place even in the midst of wicked attacks of the enemy. It is an increase the defies natural laws. Ordinarily, the attacks of the enemy on a people should shut them down; people have spewed prophecies on others that came to pass.
SUCH ATTACKS SHOULD SHUT DOWN INCREASE; BUT IN OUR CASE, THE LORD STOOD BY US.
I remember some folks spewing some negative prophesies against us in 2016. Then we were between 150 and 200 in attendance. They said they had dreams where people left the Church and there was just them left. But it turned out to be the opposite. They left the Church and we increased. Only divine backing does that!
I have met people who even spent over two years praying that something evil should happen to me and the ministry. They gave up when they saw the opposite happening. Sometimes it is good for people to pray against you so that GOD will see it and bless you instead. It was divine backing that neutralized all that for us!
Divine backing is what makes a man increase in life and ministry in spite of terrible attacks of the enemy. God indeed backed us in 2021, despite the horrors of the year.
Concerning the Jews who were in Egypt before Moses came for their final rescue, the Bible says Pharaoh advised his people to oppress and afflict them lest they join forces with their enemies to attack them in the day of war. But like every agent of Satanic attacks, he never knew the Jews were enjoying divine backing. The scriptures say;
“Therefore they set taskmasters over them to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh supply cities, Pithom and Raamses.
But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were in dread of the children of Israel.” Exodus 1:11-12 NKJV
Only divine backing will make a man grow in the midst of terrible attacks! That is why if the attacks the enemy are hindering you from growing, the problem is not the enemy the problem is you. You lack divine backing. Seek the LORD For it.
ONLY DIVINE BACKING WILL MAKE AN OPPRESSOR OF THE OPPRESSED AFRAID OF PEOPLE HE IS OPPRESSING OR ATTACKING.
Ordinarily, the attacked and the oppressed should be the one in fear because of the oppressor. But divine backing is a major glory product that reverses everything and makes the difference in the midst of war. It makes the attacker afraid of the attacked in spite of what he or she may be doing against the attacked. The Bible says;
“But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were in dread of the children of Israel.”
This will be your testimony in 2022! The enemy will not outwit us in battle or the sons of wickedness successfully oppress us.
Whatever the devil may do in your life through anyone in 2022, just learn to stay on the LORD’s side. The more you are afflicted and attacked the more you will increase. Truly, by the time God will be through with you, those who may attack you now will become so jealous of the great blessings that will result in your life that they will wish they die! That is why the Bible says we should handle adversity differently.
People who are backed by God should handle adversity differently. You may fear like Hezekiah did. But let your fear drive you to the LORD not put you in a panic mode.
It’s not a sin to be afraid when they enemy strikes but let our fear move us to the LORD in prayer; let it move us to sit at His feet in the Spirit of grace and supplication; considering the developments and sensing the steps GOD want us to take. The Bible says;
“In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: Surely God has appointed the one as well as the other, So, that man can find out nothing that will come after him.” Ecclesiastes 7:14 NKJV
GOD SOMETIME APPOINTS ADVERSITY TO LET US SEE THE REALITY OF HIS PRESENCE IN OUR LIVES.
He allows the enemy to come so much upon us and do so much against us so that we may see how much He is with us. In simple terms, so that we may experience the sweetness of divine backing! That is why the more the adversity the more the prosperity that comes out of it. Paul put it this way;
“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,
while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” 1 Corinthians 2:17-18 NKJV
Our devotional text today is about a young and ordinary man like every one of us that Heaven sets His eyes on; a man God decided to turn into a warrior of righteousness to rescue the nation of Israel from the enemy. During his mobilization for destiny, the man described himself this way to the LORD;
“O my Lord, how can I save Israel? Indeed my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.”
The man was describing himself based on his history but the LORD responded based on what He will become under the glory product of divine backing. He said two important things to him. He said;
1. Go in this might of yours, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Have I not sent you?”
2. Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midianites as one man.
These are two of the most important statements you need from God this end time. They are the two most important things we need as we fight the battles of the LORD in 2022. As we get closer and closer to the consummation of all things, the earth will become hotter.
GROSS DARKNESS WILL COVER SO MANY. BUT THOSE WHO ARE ON LORD’S SIDE WILL BE EXEMPTED.
They will be exempted because they know what to do in the midst of it all. The command is that they go in the very inadequate might they have. The LORD will be with them and make the difference.
Yes, if we face 2022 life with the very might we have under divine backing, God’s manifest glory will be with us and we will defeat anything the enemy may throw at us in the new year; God will make sure that each individual defeat the enemy as one man! Hallelujah!
Meaning, you will not need anyone to help you because God will be there to help you! That is why we are to handle adversity differently. We are to handle it on our submission and prayer knees, committing things to the will of God while the enemy rages.
Because our God will be with us and we will defeat him and all with him as “One Man” under God!
I am yet to see any one sent by God defeated in battle.
From age to age since God began His moves on earth, none of those He ever sent to war returned defeated – from Samson who even had the Delilah issue to David who had the Beersheba issue, to the apostles who had no issues. It has been victory all the while.
Our father Abraham’s case was awesome. He had very few men with him when he faced thousands of enemy soldiers. In fact, he faced five nations with 318 trained servants. He came out victorious rescuing his nephew lot who did not even worth it. He was a man of love and sacrifice.
The stories of these men and those we have not mentioned tells us one thing; no one in God’s army will ever loss a war; none of God’s warriors has ever lost out to the enemy in time past and none will in our times. God has always backed His warriors even when they fall into sin like David and Samson and return to Him; He has never abandoned His warriors in the battle fields of life. He will not stop doing that with us.
So, we will not lose out to the enemy. God will keep backing us and we will keep increasing on every side and fighting his end time battles until the enemy is no more, and we reign with Him in the New heaven and the new Earth!
AS WE STEP INTO 2022 ACCORDING TO THE GREGORIAN CALENDAR, DO NOT FORGET THAT WE ARE LIVING IN DEPARTURE TIME.
Do not forget that Jesus is coming soon.
Bible prophecy made it clear that the devil will do more wickedly using those who are offended at us. Impostors will get worse and worse. There will still be increase of deception and Godless knowledge. There will be war and rumors of wars.
People will still be offended at others. Wives will do terrible things to their husbands; I mean caring husbands and terrible husbands.
And bad husbands will do terrible things to their caring wives.
Children will rise against parents and parents against children. Many more things will happen. But He who endures to the end shall be saved!
If you are saved, I want to submit to you that there is a might in your life placed in there by God’s amazing grace. That is why the year is our year of amazing grace. We are to tap into that might and reach out to the LORD in prayer in the midst of any horror of the last day that may come upon us. That is how we will receive strength to endure to the end.
The strength to endure does not come from this world; it comes form God’s world. Yes, the strength to endure the 2022 version of the horrors of the last days will not come from a human being no matter how strong they may be. It will come from a world outside this world; the world of God’s presence. We must learn to bow the knee at all times to tap from it through prayer!
2022 will be a year of surviving on your knees; do not allow any to deceive you about sowing a seed and getting all the blessings. It is a lie. Do not allow anyone to scam you. It is a year that will be full of battles for many in the fore front. We will therefore not survive on our feet, we will survive on our knees!
There is a scripture that seems to have all the devotional posture to take in 2022 and beyond in additional to things we will be sharing in the cross over night tonight. It is 1 Thessalonians 5:14-22.
LET IT BE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR YOU TODAY
“Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all.
See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all.
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies. Test all things; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil.” 1 Thessalonians 5: 14-22 NKJV
