TODAY’S DEVOTION (THURSDAY 17TH February 2022)
Then to Adam He said, “Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat of it’:
“Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil you shall eat of it All the days of your life. Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you, And you shall eat the herb of the field.
In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread Till you return to the ground, For out of it you were taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall return.” Genesis 3:17-19 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 48TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF AMAZING GRACE
We give Him glory for the 48 days of amazing grace and for all we have seen that grace do in our lives. We appreciate every miracle, blessing, and move of His Spirit in our lives. Grace also teaches; we appreciate all the revelations and insights the LORD has given us so far from the fountain of His grace.
The throne of God is the Throne of Grace. That is the fountain where God’s grace lies. It is the control station of God’s activities on earth.
Whatever is not from the Throne Room of God is not from God. If a marriage is not from the Throne Room of God at an immediate present, it is not of God.
If Business Idea is not from the Throne Room of God, it is not of God. If a career is not from the Throne Room of God it is not of God. If a dream, goal or vision is not from the Throne Room of God, they are not of GOD.
If a calling, ministry or minister is not from the Throne Room of God, they are not from GOD.
Whatever is not from the Throne Room of God is not of God and can be used of the devil to counterfeit God. That is why we have false prophets, teachers, preachers, churches, and all kinds of deception and falsehood in so many Churches today.
Sadly, very few believers have made used of their access to the Throne of God. Very few have used the mercies of God in their lives to be become Throne Room Christians. That is why they are in marriages, ministries, plans and purposes that are not of GOD. That is why many of us are struggling with a lot that is not of God today!
You find so many in spiritual problems and all kinds of destruction from the kingdom of darkness for not outsourcing their lives from the Throne Room of GOD. You see, whatever is not from the Throne Room of God can be destroyed by anything form the Throne of Satan.
WHEN WE SAY SPIRITUAL WARFARE, WE MUST UNDERSTAND THAT SPIRITUAL WARFARE IS ACTUALLY A BATTLE OF THRONES.
It started in eternal past when Satan decided to become GOD; when he decided to take over GOD’s Throne. He was sent parking from the Realms of glory and when he landed in the spiritual earth that was his dwelling place, he destroyed everything there and establish his kingdom in the darkness that resulted. That is why his kingdom is called the Kingdom of darkness.
From that time, its been one battle or the other between the Throne of God and the throne of Satan.
When man was created, he was placed in a garden where his life was designed to be outsourced from the Throne of God. There was already this war on earth, and it was clear if he did not outsource his visions, dreams, moves, decisions, lifestyle, day to day actions, expectations and etc. from the Throne of God, nothing about him will prosper on earth. The throne of Satan will hinder him terribly.
That was why mankind was in total comfort until he took one decision that was not from the Throne of GOD; the decision to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. The decision came from the throne of Satan, and was passed to mankind through the woman. The Bible says;
“Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”
And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ”
Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” Genesis 3:1-4 NKJV
The Bible says the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the LORD God has made. That is why we should stay away from cunning people. Cunning people are dangerous.
THEY MAKE PEOPLE TAKE DECISIONS FROM THE THRONE OF SATAN.
As we can see in this scripture, the decision to eat from the TREE of the knowledge of God and evil was not from the Throne of God. It was from the Throne of Satan, that was why it opened the world to all activities pf Satan and made man a slave of sin. But thank God for redemption!
Sadly, Satan still influence people to take decisions from his throne even today. That is why the world is in chaos. That is why sorrows, curses, toiling, troubles and all kinds of spiritual attacks and warfare seems not to be coming to an end in the lives of so many.
There is virtually no life you find on earth that is not going through one problem or the other because of moments spent taking decisions from the throne of Satan ignorantly.
So many people have no spiritual link to the Throne of God, because it takes a sanctified heart and a prayer knee to be linked to the Throne of God, which many do not have. So many are linked to the throne of Satan because it takes a carnal, spiritual ignorant, a wicked or sinful heart to be linked to the throne of Satan and be making your decisions, ignorantly from there.
Friend, whenever you take a Decision that is not from the Throne of God, get ready failure, struggles you will never overcome, battles you will never win, curses that cannot be broken, sorrows that may never end, economic hardship that will keep coming and all that makes earthly life terrible.
The evil things that broke out on the human race after mankind took their first decision from the throne of Satan were swift and terrible. Our devotional text says;

SOME PEOPLE HAVE SAID GOD CURSED MAN BY THIS SCRIPTURE, BUT HE DID NOT. READ IT CAREFULLY AND YOU WILL SEE THE TRUTH!
God do not curse people in his image, except they loose both his image and likeness. At this point, mankind only lost God’s likeness not image. So, He did not curse man. He only described the evil things that man will now begin to experience for taking a decision that was not outsourced form his throne.
When next you want to take a decision that is not from the Throne of God, consider this scripture and hold your peace.
Most of what people blame God for is never God’s making, but the making of their ungodly and anti-will of God decisions. Decisions are more powerful than devils. That is what many do not know.
When Satan influence you to make one decision, and you do, he has used your own sword to destroy you. Most times Satan does not use his weapons to fight us. He uses the weapon of our own decisions to ruin us. You must understand that. He used the decision of Samson to reveal the secret of his strength to the wrong ear to ruin Samson.
He used the Decision of David to sleep with Beersheba to ruin David. He used the Decision of Ananias and Saphira to lie to the Holy Spirit to kill them even in God’s presence. A life of pain, sorrows, or affliction is always a child of decisions outsourced outside the Throne of GOD; decisions that became a weapon in the hands of the devil to ruin.
Your life has been the way it is because of the decisions you have made from your age of accountability till date. Sadly, some of the decisions became a weapon in the hands of the devil.
It is the quality of your decisions that determine the quality of your life. Do not forget that! An accursed life is a product of decisions made from the realm of the spirit around the throne of Satan, filtered through the flesh or a man’s carnal desires. If you want to live a blessed life, because of what inform your decisions in life. If you do not know how to make decisions that are outsourced from the Throne of GOD, you will never live a blessed life.
THAT BRINGS US TO THE SUBJECT OF OUR DISCOURSE THESE 28 DAYS – KINDLING THE FIRE OF RIGHTEOUS PRAYERS.
With the fire of righteous prayers, you can pray yourself into the realm of the Spirit of the Living God, where decisions are made form the Throne of God. Righteous prayers remain one of the greatest tools of decision making in God’s kingdom. It remains one of the ways that the saved and sanctified outsource their decisions from God’s Throne. The Bible says;
“For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:15-16 NKJV
I believe if Adam or Eve had done this the day the enemy came, we would not have been where we are today. I believe if they had said,
“I think we should wait and talk to God about this decision to eat from the tree when He comes” After all, God visited them often in the cool of the day. They would have met Him and He would have saved them all the troubles we all have today.
We Still make the same mistakes today. We do not take our decisions to the LORD in prayer to hear form Him before we make them.
We will be influenced by something to make a decision, and not care to take it to God first for either approval or rejection. That is how many of us have lost our God given Gardens of Eden today; many have lost jobs, marriages, peace, ministries, privileges created by the LORD and so much because of that.
What is the message for today? The message is simply! We are in the center of the battle of thrones in the spirit realm. Each throne wants to control our lives.
We were designed for the Throne of God not the throne of Satan. Our life decisions should proceed from the Throne of God not the throne of Satan. If they do, we will lead blessed lives on earth, serving our generation according to God’s will. That is the message!
MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY
“My son, do not forget my law, but let your heart keep my commands; For length of days and long life and peace they will add to you. Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart, and so find favor and high esteem In the sight of God and man.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, and strength to your bones.” Proverbs 3:1-8 NKJV
