THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (SATURDAY 25TH JUNE 2022)

“I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My life makes its boast in the Lord; let the humble and afflicted hear and be glad.

O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together. I sought (inquired of) the Lord and required Him [of necessity and on the authority of His Word], and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

They looked to Him and were radiant; their faces shall never blush for shame or be confused. Psalm 34: 1-5 AMPC

WELCOME TO THE 176TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF AMAZING GRACE

This is the day the LORD has made, we shall rejoice and be glad in it. His mercies have indeed kept us. It has prevented even our own swords from cutting us down.

We are alive today because of His mercies. To God be the glory!

David said, “I will sing of the mercies of the LORD! With my mouth will I make known His faithfulness in all generation.” If you get soaked with His mercies you will have no choice but to sing about them. It is those who do not understand what God’s mercies have done in their lives that will have no song of His mercies to sing.

Permit me this morning to use this platform to appreciate all of you who added one kind of shine or the other to my Birthday yesterday. The day indeed shone very bright because of you and I thank God for making that happen.

Science has it that every brightness is a combination of many molecules of brightness.

So When we shine like the Sun, it is not our making but the making of the LORD who touched the heart of many good people to supply one brightness or the other. The LORD indeed touched your hearts to supply what made my day bright.

May the LORD place more of His blessing upon your life in Jesus precious name! May He raise people to make your life bright and fulfill all His promises in your life.

People who make our lives bright come to fulfil the prophecies God has made concerning us. It is in the fulfilment of those promises that our lives brighten up. Our devotional text says;

WHEN GLORIOUS PROPHECIES ARE FULFILLED IN YOUR LIFE, YOUR LIFE BECOMES RADIANT.

When your life becomes radiant, your face will never be blush for shame or be confused. You will just be a replica of what the amazing grace and mercies of the LORD can accomplish in a person’s life.

Talking about a man’s life getting brightened up by the fulfillment of prophecies, I want us to understand that as the Sun brightens the earth and takes it from darkness to light, so does the Sun of righteousness, Jesus Christ, brightens our lives, and take us from sorrow to joy when His word for us come to pass.

Your life will become dim and dark over time if glorious things from the mouth of the LORD are not spoken into fulfillment over you from time to time. This is where I thank God for all who attended the night of destiny.

God unleashed that dimension in the service and it was awesome. Lives where shaped forever by the spoken word that the LORD sent to us. Every word was Holy Spirit enabled.

Holy Spirit enabled words carries the potency to recreate, reshape, restore and renew. They can change the course of a man’s life forever. It is Such words that are processed by time to brighten up the lives of those who heard them.

The nation of Israel holds a lot of lessons for us to learn so long as the brightening up of our lives with fulfilled prophecies and manifestation of righteous decrees from Spirit enabled utterances is concerned.

The Bible says this about what happened to them in the wilderness;

“And He humbled you and allowed you to hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you recognize and personally know that man does not live by bread only, but man lives by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord.” Deuteronomy 8:3 AMPC

The nation fed on mana(angle’s food) all through their 40 years journey in the wilderness. That was the first time since after the fall of man, that men will be eating angel’s food.

GOD WAS SO CONCERNED FOR THEIR SAFETY THAT HE COMMISSION SOME ANGLES TO PROVIDE FOOD FOR THEM ALL THOSE YEARS.

Forty years is not forty minutes, hours days or weeks. It was a huge miracle that manifested in the lives of that generation.

What you eat will eat you. The Heavenly food gave them a foretaste of immortality. It ate them and made sure they were not sick. The Bible says there was no one feeble person among them. Age was suspended and people like Joshua and Caleb remained with the strength of a forty-year-old for eighty years.

Indeed, they survived the negative effects of sleeping in the wildness for that long by this one and many other miracles.

They enjoyed the covering of God’s glory as a pillar of fire by night and pillar of cloud by day as one of the many miracles. At night it kept them warm because the wilderness was very cold at night. And at day it kept them cold because the wilderness was very hot at day.

If not for these miracles they would have all died out of diseases and other hazards of the journey. God will always do miracles in our lives and wrap us with blessings to keep us safe as we travel through time in fulfillment of our days.

The Bible says;

“So they took their journey from Succoth and camped in Etham at the edge of the wilderness.

And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night.

He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day or the pillar of fire by night from before the people.” Exodus 13:20-22 NKJV

All these things are manifestation of prophecies; they brightened up their lives even in their darkest moments. That is one major blessing of this kind of kingdom heritage. It is the reason the dark moments of life do not neutralize the seed of the kingdom of GOD.

Now, there are two lessons I want to present here to us from these major miracles Israel enjoyed in the wilderness.

THE FIRST IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE COME UNDER THE GLORY.

From the lives of these men and women who journeyed through the wilderness, it is clear that where the glory covers mysteries of the Kingdom are known.

When we say mysteries of the Kingdom, we are not referring to the dark things some preacher practice calling them prophetic acts. We are talking about the unveiling of the doctrine of Christ and the manifestation of the mystery of godliness.

If therefore you want to grow in the knowledge of God, look for people who are under the covering shelter of God’s glory and become part of them! Where the glory covers the hidden things of God are unfolded and a weight of God’s presence is unleashed.

Your heart becomes the altar of the LORD under the glory instead some fathom things defined as altars by erring preachers and scammers in God’s garment.

Yes, when you sit where the glory covers, the knowledge of the LORD in the deep will be unfolded to you and your heart will be set on fire with sanctifying truths. That was what happened when the disciples sat before the resurrected Christ to be taught.

The Bible says;

“And they said to one another, Were not our hearts greatly moved and burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and as He opened and explained to us [the sense of] the Scriptures?

And rising up that very hour, they went back to Jerusalem, where they found the Eleven [apostles] gathered together and those who were with them, Who said, The Lord really has risen and has appeared to Simon (Peter)!” Luke 24:32-34 AMPC

From the experiences of these men, it is clear that if you are listening to the word under an anointed atmosphere, you get the knowledge of the scriptures but without the sense of the scripture.

That is why we have preachers who believe GOD told them to anoint places with olive oil, and teaches people so. They all heard the word on the use of oil without the sense of scriptures hence going back to the law, calling it timeless ordinances.

BUT WHEN YOU HEAR THE TEACHING OF THE WORD UNDER THE COVERING SHELTER OF GOD’S GLORY YOU HEAR THE WORD IN THE SENSE OF SCRIPTURES.

You step into the substance of the shadows of the things that were used under the law, like the oil. That is why the Holy Ghost falls in people as we teach. Peter was the first to experience such demonstration of the Spirit. That is what greatly move the heart with God’s strong presence and cause a burning within.

These end times GOD has promised to raise churches that will be covered with His glory so that they can function as grounds and pillars of truth.

Local Churches where the glory of God covers are God’s end time green pastures for His end time sheep. I hope you find one and plant yourself there instead of wasting your time in Places where only the anointing covers.

The second lesson from what happened in the life of the nation of Israel in the wilderness is the lesson of Living by what comes out of the mouth of the LORD!

Sometimes living by what come out of the mouth of the LORD does not mean being feed spiritually with the word of the LORD, it means having your life brightened up by the manifestations of the blessed decrees and glorious prophecies that comes out of the mouth of the LORD.

Like we shared earlier, life will be full of darkness and sorrow if you spend it without experiencing the manifestation of righteous decrees and glorious prophecies made concerning it from time to time.

We have been looking at the Cry of the Holy Spirit on fear. Sometimes in order not to be afraid you must walk in the light of the righteous decrees and glorious prophecies that comes out of the mouth of the LORD for your life.

This earthly life can be the valley of the shadow of death in some regards, If we therefore, do not have the light of God’s righteous decrees and glorious prophecies for our lives, we will not connect the life that preserved a man when he passes through the valley of the shadow of death like David did in the psalmist. We will be fear stricken and suddenly destroyed!

MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY!

“The Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack.

He makes me lie down in [fresh, tender] green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters.

He refreshes and restores my life (my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him—not for my earning it, but] for His name’s sake.

Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me.” Psalm 23:1-4 AMPC
