TODAY’S DEVOTION (FRIDAY 11TH NOVEMBER 2022)
“When the wicked man dies, his hope [for the future] perishes; and the expectation of the godless comes to nothing.
The [uncompromisingly] righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked gets into it instead.
With his mouth the godless man destroys his neighbor, but through knowledge and superior discernment shall the righteous be delivered.” Proverbs 11:7-9 AMPC
WELCOME TO THE 315TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF AMAZING GRACE!
This is the day the LORD has made, we shall rejoice and be glad in it. Day unto day, we have seen His mercies, night unto night we have seen His faithfulness.
This year have been full of God’s mercies, interventions and peace. If it had not been so, we would not have been alive. We have experienced Him as LORD over all things. Our lives testify!
We give Him all the glory for keeping us, sustaining us, healing us, saving us, and doing things that our lips cannot say because our minds are too weak to capture them. Off course, when the eternal God move in your life to preserve you, based on His faithfulness instead of your faithfulness, you cannot but lack words to accurately appreciate Him.
It has been 315 days of God’s marvelous helps, waves of glory, river of mercies, floods of kindness, unrelenting compassion, and an unconditional love that transforms sinful conditions into righteous conditions.
We have been looking at things that will never happen in our lives of we are not walking in practical wisdom. We have spoken about honor and the assembling in our lives things that have been finished in Heaven concerning us. The next thing we want to look at is deliverance that has divine preservation in it.
Yes, there are type of deliverances in the Bible, only one has divine preservation in it and it will never come if we do not walk in practical wisdom. A deliverance that has preservation it will keep you away from the evil one, and the earthly life of Christ has a template for us.
If you read through the four gospels, you will realize that as man, Jesus lived a life that was preserved from the evil one because He walked in practical wisdom. Look at how He answered the devil during the temptation. The enemy could not put any bondage on Him.
THOSE HE DELIVERED WHERE DELIVERED THROUGH THE KNOWLEDGE AND SUPERIOR DISCERNMENT HE HAD.
He would later say “the prince of this world comes but he has nothing in men.” He was full of knowledge and discernment, making it impossible for the enemy to have anything in Him. That is the hallmark of a deliverance that has divine preservation in it. The evil forces of this world may come, but they will not be able to reach you because you have been delivered from being reached by anything demonic.
A major portion of our devotional text says;
“The [uncompromisingly] righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked gets into it instead.
With his mouth the godless man destroys his neighbor, but through knowledge and superior discernment shall the righteous be delivered.” Proverbs 11:8-9 AMPC
Knowledge and superior discernment are foundations of the practical wisdom that brings this deliverance am taking about. Because if you have knowledge and superior discernment, it will preserve you from the evil one. Yes, it will help you take decisions in life that will make anyone watching you to say “this man is full of practical wisdom.” Do not forget, people looked at Jesus as man and said, “what wisdom is this?”
One of the practical wisdoms we see in the life of Christ that knowledge and superior discernment gave Him was the practical wisdom of departing from evil and living a pure life. That was why the evil one could not touch Him.
THE PRACTICAL WISDOM OF DEPARTING FROM EVIL AND LIVING A PURE LIFE, WILL BRING UPON US A DELIVERANCE THAT HAS DIVINE PRESERVATION IN IT.
The Bible says;
“ We know [absolutely] that anyone born of God does not [deliberately and knowingly] practice committing sin, but the One Who was begotten of God carefully watches over and protects him [Christ’s divine presence within him preserves him against the evil], and the wicked one does not lay hold (get a grip) on him or touch [him].” 1 John 5:18 AMPC
This scripture made it clear that the practical wisdom of not deliberately and knowingly practicing committing sin (in other words, the wisdom of departing from evil), will boost the divine presence of Christ within our lives to protect us from the wicked one. It will make sure the wicked one does not lay hold, or get grip on us, or touch us. That is a major hallmark of the deliverance am talking about.
It is not deliverance as people see it today but a deliverance with divine preservation. You will soon learn in the course of this journey, that any deliverance that lack divine preservation is a fake deliverance, powered by the demon of deliverance. Yes, Jesus made that clear, and you will find out before the end of our 30-day journey.
The worry is, why is it that believers are finding it difficult to depart from evil today? I thought about this and came to one conclusion; our misunderstanding of God’s love. Many have twisted understanding of what the love of God is. It seems to be killing the discernment of the present Church, and making it impossible for so many of us to walk in the practical wisdom of departing from evil.
Talking about God’s love, many have said God’s love covers our sins, but they do not explain to us how.
The Spirit of the LORD opened my understanding to comprehend that God’s love does not cover our sins by hiding them from the view of others, from the reach of divine judgment, or from their wages (which is death). God’s love covers our sins by purging us of them; sometimes using chastisement, other times using the power of the Holy Spirit, and some other times using the strength of His sanctifying word.
I PREFER A LOVE THAT WILL COVER MY SINS, BY HELPING ME TO PURGE IT SO THAT I SIN NO MORE, TO A LOVE THAT WILL HIDE IT FROM VIEW WHILE I KEEP LIVING IN THEM.
A love that hides your sins from view instead of helping you to purge them is not actually a love, because sin covered will breed worms from hell and destroy our spirits, souls and bodies. That is why the Bible says;
“He who covers his transgressions will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes his sins will obtain mercy.” Proverbs 28:13 AMPC
Sin cleansed is what will bring a blessing not sin covered. That is what many of us who have normalized a life of sin do not understand. It is important that we understand the connection between sin covered and the gates of hell.
Jesus said the gates of hell will not prevail against us, but many of us do not understand that if the gates of hell will not prevail against us, we must depart from sin because sin covered will bring worms from hell into our lives. The worms will then begin to eat up anything good in our lives, most times while we are still enjoying the pleasure we may be getting from the sin.
That is why the practical wisdom of departing from evil brings a deliverance that has divine preservation in it. It will make sure the gates of hell do not release those worms into our lives by forming a mantle over us called the armor of righteousness.
Let me share with you more about the worms from hell. The Bible warned us about the pleasure of sin. The pleasure of sin hides the mind from coming into the realization of the consequences of sin. It blindfolds our ability to walk in discernment and prevents us from seeing the worms that our sins may be inviting from hell.
There are people I know who have died because worms from hell ate up their lungs. I know one person whose kidney was attacked by these worms because he was stealing the church offerings. The pleasure of our sins has a way of keeping us in the practice of our sin, blindfolding us from seeing the worms. It blindfolded them and got their physical bodies attacked by the worms.
WHEN THE PLEASURE OF SIN BLINDFOLD US, WE BEGIN TO LIVE LIVES OF HYPOCRISY.
I believe that was one of the reasons men like Moses chose to suffer afflictions rather than enjoy the pleasure of sin for a moment. They knew what our generation seem not to know. The Bible says;
“By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin,
esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he looked to the reward.” Hebrew 11:24-26 NKJV
From this scripture, it is clear that a practical wisdom that comes through superior discernment (especially, the superior discernment of faith), will help us to esteem Christ greater riches above the treasures of this world, enabling us to recognize the consequences of our sins, and preventing our minds from being stolen by its pleasure.
Yes, it will help us to see the worms from hell that sin can usher into a man’s life, and avoid them completely by staying pure and holy.
If you go to most Hospitals today, and other health centers where the sick and tormented gather, you will see what these worms from hell does to the life of men and women. When they eat up your health it will give birth to incurable diseases. They do not just attack the physical bodies of people spiritually, they also attack other areas.
When they eat up your finances, it will give birth to poverty and terrible economic hardship. There is nothing you do that will be working. When they eat up your marital flavor, you may get married but not be able to stay married.
Yes, there is a spiritual flavor God gives everyone to be able to get and stay married. Once that flavor is gone, it will be impossible for any to keep a relationship. The flavor is eaten by worms from hell ushered in by, mostly, a life of homosexuality, lesbianism, persistent sexual activities even with animals or beastly people, ritual sex, oral sex, and other forms of sexual perversion.
IT CAN ALSO BE TAKEN AWAY BY A LYING TONGUE, DECEITFUL LIVING, SHEDDING OF BLOOD THROUGH ABORTIONS, CRAFTINESS, AND OTHER RELATED SINFUL DEEDS.
Until one stop conforming to this world, and begin to offer or make a decisive dedication of his or her body to God, as a living sacrifice, holy, devoted, and consecrated to Him, that flavor will neve be restored.
The Bible says;
“I appeal to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship.
Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].” Romans 12:1-2 AMPC
If you want your flavor restored, this scripture holds the key. Study it and align to its instructions. There is nothing about our lives that will not be restored if we take the faith position written in this scripture.
People do not even realize that marriages are breaking up today in alarming proportions because of the activities of these worms from hell.
They do not realize that most people are single because of these worms. The worms have eaten up the marital flavor that make marriages work, kept the single “single” and rendered many marriages tasteless. Honestly, marriage has become very tasteless for many married couples today. Majority are just there for their children and some other reasons.
Child of God, there are so many things God created to keep a marriage intact which will lose the ability to do so once the marital flavor that was supposed to be in that marriage is gone. We have submission, love, care and etc.
BUT THERE ARE MARRIAGES WHERE EVEN LOVE AND SUBMISSION NO LONGER WORKS BECAUSE THE FLAVOR IS GONE.
I believe, the time has come for the church to camp in Romans 12:1-2, until the worms we may have ushered into our lives return back to hell, and the spiritual flavors of our lives are fully restored. Maybe let me share more truths about our marital lives, in relation to these worms.
There is one more thing God created to keep a marriage intact. It is called sex.
Now, the first-time sex was mentioned in the Bible, was between married couples. That tells us that sex was created by God to cement relationship between two people. So, ordinarily, sex between couples should cement their relationship, but when that flavor is gone it will not be able to fulfil that purpose.
There are people who do come under severe spiritual attacks, during or after sexual intercourse with their partners, because the worms from hell lives in either one of the partners or both of the partners.
Jesus spoke about these worms in hell, and many of us do not realize that they have a way of finding their way into our lives through our sinful deeds. He said;
“If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having two hands, to go to hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched— where ‘Their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.’
And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life lame, rather than having two feet, to be cast into hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched— where ‘Their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.’
And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into [hell fire— where ‘Their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.’ Mark 9:43-48 NKJV
SCRIPTURES LIKE THESE ARE NOT LONGER COMMON IN THE PRESENT CHURCH.
No preacher wants to make this his core message because it will send the crowd away. That is why we have the worms among us eating the lives of people, and when they die, they go to meet them in hell. This is very sad!
Most of us in ministry forget that Jesus preached about hell more than about giving or money. But today we are preaching more about money, demons, diseases and etc. and saying nothing about hell and the worms in it that has found their way, spiritually, into our lives; eating up things God established to sustain us on earth.
Child of God, the times has come to change who you listen to if you are learning nothing eternal from their mouth.
As we bring this to a close, understand that deliverance with divine preservation will never come to you if you do not walk in the practical wisdom that comes through divine knowledge and superior discernment.
It is my prayer that God will us these words to keep building us up and giving us an inheritance among they that are sanctified! Amen!!
