TODAY’S DEVOTION (TUESDAY 10thOctober 2023)
“So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord.”
“Your garments did not wear out on you, nor did your foot swell these forty years. You should know in your heart that as a man chastens his son, so the Lord your God chastens you.” Deuteronomy 8:3-5 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 283RD DAY OF OUR YEAR OF SIGNS AND WONDERS
The days of glory are indeed here. When we say glory, we are referring to the fullness of God on display.
We are referring to the fulness of His love, the fulness of His mercies, the fulness of His truth, the fulness of His justice, the fulness of His power, the fulness of His word, the fulness of His appointed times, the fullness of His presence, and all that made Him the God who saves.
There is the God who sees, as the mother of Ishmael experienced, and there is the God who saves. The fulness of what makes Him the God who saves, is what we see in Jesus Christ. He is present among us demonstrating and manifesting His fullness.
Friend, like I have always maintained, these are no longer days of praying with bottles of oil in your hands. We are in the days of His fulness. The fulness of the substance of all the shadows Moses represented. We have done that in time past and discovered that there is more in God.
There so much to press into in our age that is bigger than the anointing Oil. It is called the fullness of God; which actually is the essence of the mystery of godliness.
Today shall be for us a day of God’s Rhema word; in other words, “God’s proceeding word.”
The Bible is made up of the logos and the Rhema; the spirits and the letters, the spoken and the written word. When you open its pages, you find the logos, the letters, and the written. But when you open your spirit as you open its pages, you contact the Rhema, the spirit and the spoken.
Genuine prophetic flow is scripturallybased, and scripturally cooked. God does not speak in contradiction to His written word. What we find in the Bible shows us which scripture to wait and meditate on in order to receive a proceeding word from Heaven.
Now I am not saying we stand on one single scripture then come out with a suppose proceeding word from the LORD. Except you stand on one scripture, with an expansive knowledge of some others, that can be destructive.
THE BIBLE IS NOT CAPABLE OF PRIVATE INTERPRETATION. SCRIPTURE IS DESIGNED TO INTERPRET SCRIPTURE.
Such interpretations, can only be accurate if the person reading the Bible or preaching from it is filled with the Spirit of truth – a dimension of the Holy Ghost that manifest to explain His book, the Bible, to us.
Sadly, many have stood on certain feelings and twisted scriptures to speak a suppose word from the LORD, and destroyed themselves and those who heard them.
For instance, those who stood on the scripture that told us how Elisha poured salt into a stream, and prophesied it out of its plague, has told us how God used that scripture to speak to them to use salt to pray for people. Heresies and false prophecies are conceived that way.
They are conceived when men and woman who have not sat under genuine apostolic grace try to preach the Bible. They are conceived by inspiration that is not rooted in sound doctrine, and prophetic feelings not powered by the Spirit of Truth.
Yes, talking about prophetic feelings; every prophecy proceeds from a prophetic sensation or feeling. When the prophetic sensation is genuine, it will spew out authentic prophetic flow from the throne room of God. But if it is not, it will spew out something that is extra biblical, half-truth, or complete lies from the pit of hell.
Sadly, the prophetic feelings of most people these days are scooped from carnality and Biblical Illiteracy.
They are scooped from an internal fountain of corruption, spiritual ignorance, greed, covetousness, or bitterness. That is why seed sowing prophecies, enemy killing prophecies, and prophecies on possessing other people’s possessions and even spouses,have become the norm in the prophetic delivery of most Christians.
A Christian will hear from ‘God’ at one moment to join a particular Church, and in another moment, sometimes after few days, he is hearing from ‘God’ again to quit.
Others will hear from God at one moment to marry this person and at another moment they are hearing another thing; sometimes within the same week. When I see such things, I ask myself if God is confused and stupid that He does not know who the real wife or husband of such people is. But I know He is not.
IT IS THE PEOPLE THAT ARE STUPID AND CONFUSED YET LYING ON HIM.
The Bible says;
“Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. Do not add to His words, Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar.” Proverbs 30:5-6 NKJV
This scripture is a warning to the “GOD told me” and “GOD say” generation; it is a warning to all who lie on Him and say “He says,” while He has not spoken a word. Recently, many of them have been rebuked and found to be liars. However, the greater level of rebuke is coming and is very close.
Friend, to receive a true Rhema word from God these days, your fountain must be pure. Our devotional text today is very unique. A major Highlight of it says;
“So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord.”
The primary purpose why GOD passes his children through hard times, is to purify them. In this scripture, He made Israel to suffer hunger and fed them with just one type of food from Heaven. Apart from bringing them to a place in the Spirit where they can develop a sense of value on the proceeding word, the other intent was to purify them.
God’s will is to have a prophetic people on the face of the earth. However, we cannot operate accurately in the prophetic until we have been purified by the LORD.
Sadly, since many rejects God’s purification process, due to ignorance or rebellion, sorcery and divination has now become the prophetic anointing of most departments of the end time Church.
THIS HAS RESULTED IN SO MANY DARK PRACTICES AND MANIPULATIONS IN CHURCH.
If a prophetic flow is oozing out of you in spite of your sinful living and conduct, you are operating under a corrupt anointing, and it will not form Christ in people. An unclean spirit is powering you to speak those words even if you are calling the name of Jesus or quoting the scriptures.
The Holy Spirit does not use unholy vessels. He will rebuke them of sin if they harbor one, urging them to repent first. He will take them to the place of repentance and then use them for His glory.
The Bible is very clear on that. It is clear on how the Holy Spirit will first purge and purify a man before using him to do any work in God’s kingdom. It is clear that God does not use an unholy vessel. You will discover in scriptures that, the primary hallmarks of the men and women God used in Bible days to speak prophetically was HOLINESS.
They were first called “Holy Men of God,” before “anointed men of God.” They carried the anointing of God on their lives in vessels called holiness. There were those holy vessels that carried the holy anointing of God upon their lives. They carried it without polluting it with sin.
But today the story is different. We have so many anointed men of GOD, but few holy men of GOD.
Can’t we see that that alone is dangerous? Can’t we see that it is dangerous to have an anointed man of GOD, who is not a holy man of God? Our prophets and prophetesses are lesbians and sex addicts. They are masturbators and liars. They prophelie and speak under a demonic anointing. They are not holy but full of scandals.
Most are described in scriptures as greedy dogs, covetous, sinful and dirty in spirit; yet we call them “men and women of God.”
Even the lay Christians who claim to be moving in the prophetic are no different from these preachers. They have capacity to seduce men, even men of GOD they should have feared, into sexual infidelity.
Some lie like the devil, and say terrible things that are untrue in the language of truth, and still call themselves Christians. How can you be a Christian when Satan, the father of lies, is your father?
BUT SADLY, THESE GUYS DO SO AND STILL CLAIM A PROPHETIC CALL.
They practice all kinds of secret sins calling it weaknesses, yet come out with a prophetic tone that can only be something they stole from genuine prophet of God. They are money and fame driven. The love of money is stronger in their hearts than the love for God, yet the put up a pretense about loving GOD.
Jesus said in pretense, they do many charismatic things to hoodwink the ignorant and naïve. They will push people into fasting, bring a so-called word from God to them every now and then, and do so many Pentecostal things while they are not Pentecostal by the content of their character.
They are crafty, wicked, and vengeful. They take offense so easily and are good at pointing accusing fingers especially when they ought to point it to themselves. They have so many systems and ways of covering their wickedness.
But the Bible is clear that, no wicked man can bring a positive change to anyone. Satan cannot cast out any satanic nature. He may cast out a disease, a marriage problem temporality, but cannot cast out a satanic nature. You must sit under Holy men of God to lead a holy Christians life. That is the message of today!
If you want to operate a pure prophetic flow, you must be pure in heart. Your internal fountain as a Child of God must be clean. That is the next message of this devotional.

“Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”
But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work. 2 Timothy 2:19-21 NKJV
