TODAY’S DEVOTION (WEDNESDAY 11TH October 2023)
“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you.
I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. ” John 14:1-3 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 284TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF SIGNS AND WONDERS
If there is any time to look intently into what Jesus said about not letting our hearts to be troubled, it is now. Today is another day from the King of kings and LORD of lords. This is the day He has made, I believe with the whole of my heart that we will rejoice and be glad in it. Therefore, let not your heart be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in Christ; His manifestation to us.
For us here in Kenya, yesterday was a holiday. Everyone is waking up to work today. For some in the middle east, its bloodshed, wars, and death. But in all these things, the words of Christ should stand tall in our hearts; we should not let our hearts to be troubled. Our hearts need to stay in perfect peace for us to survive an imperfect world.
May the LORD hasten the metamorphosis that was preplanned for our imperfect world to quickly become the New Heaven and the New Earth, where righteousness dwells, and where men will study war no more.
In the New Heaven and the New Earth, Jesus will sit as King of kings and LORD of lords. His peace, power, and glory will be ruling the Earth as tangibly as we have never seen before, making sure that what we are witnessing now, will be no more.
The Bible says;
“He shall judge between many peoples, and rebuke strong nations afar off; they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore.” Micah 4:3 NKJV
What God is doing now is to bring His redemption plans to an end, exterminate evil, and bring us to the glorious age described in this scripture. As part of the last phase of this plan, He is focusing on the Church.
THE VISION IS TO REMOVE ALL THE SPOTS AND WRINKLES IN OUR LIVES, AND BRING US TO PERFECTION.
The process will involve baptizing or immersing people in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost through strong discipleship programs. That is why in the Cry of the Spirit Ministries where I pastor, we are surprisingly experiencing an outpouring of the Spirit that is uncommon in our age, every service day.
We are having Holy Ghost Impacts each time we gather. The immersion or Baptism comes with powerful liberating truths, with capacity to remove the reproach of Egypt from willing and submissive hearts.
Now, religious people have limited baptism to water baptism. But it is beyond that. Water baptism is great, but it does not take away the reproach of Egypt or bring people to the perfection Christ is fostering in the present Church. It ought to be an announcement to the lost world that the perfection has taken place.
There is a mandate to baptize people in the doctrine of Christ. That was the mandate GOD gave to the church; not what we see today! The Baptism of hearts with the doctrine of Christ can only take place in the active presence of God, where the grace and glory of the LORD is abundantly PRESENT.
Baptism with the doctrine of Christ is the only baptism that will bring the church to perfection, and take away the curse of the fall as removed on the cross. Yes, prophetically, the curse was removed on the cross, but practically it still exists in lives because this curse removing baptism has not taken place.
The Baptism of the doctrine of Christ, is one blessing of the great commission that is missing in the present church. Talking about that blessing, I want you to understand that some of the consequences of not having the blessing are the moral, demonic, and sin problems we struggle with in Church. Others are in the area of end time deception; the spirit of deception that seems to be thriving is a major consequence.
IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE NOT CLOSE OUR EYES TO THESE THINGS.
It is important that we keep reminding ourselves of the evil among us, so that it will not hold us hostage. It is important that we stay alert of the impostors we have in church today as ministers of the gospel. It is important that we not close our eyes to the demonic oppression in the lives of those the Church is certifying saved.
It is no longer news that curses are still resting on people, and preachers are making great deal of money from their predicaments in the names of deliverance. All these things are happening because the Blessing of the great commission has not come upon most churched people.
Satan and all he is capable of doing, have become the centre focus of many preachers and Churches today. The doctrine of Christ is unknown, and the testimony of Jesus Christ absent from their hearts. They talk about him, his works and evil forces because many have not received the blessing of the great commission.
The Church ought to be the storehouse of the blessings of the Great Commission but sadly it is not so in our generation. So many of us do not even know what the great commission is. Others try to confuse people about it with their own ideas. But what the theologians call the great commission was what led to the salvation of lost souls from generation to generation.
The loss of its meaning left a vacuum for the wicked one to fill. Sometimes when I look at what some of us in ministry bear as our God given mandates, I wonder which GOD will give such mandates after giving us one called the great commission.
In 2007, a preacher told me GOD commissioned him to preach about tithing. It left me thinking and wondering if he was referring to the creator of heaven and earth, whose sole mission is to seek and save that which was lost, or one of the many gods in the kingdom of darkness.
The only god that will do that is the god of the belly or the god of gold. The god of the belly is the god of greed and covetousness. It is responsible for all charismatic robbery operations in Church today!
It is responsible for the many money collecting visions prophets see. It will give them visions of the kind of money to collect from people, how to collect it and what to do or say to anyone who refuses to submit. It is responsible for all Church projects that make the preacher richer and the members poorer.
IT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL FALSE MANDATES IN THE CHURCH TODAY – THINGS THAT LOOK TRUE TO THE IGNORANT BUT ARE ALL FALSE.
The great commission is always at the core of the visions of all authentic Heavenly mandates. But sadly, so many so-called Heavenly mandates have no great commission at the core of their visions. Many preachers just pretend under it making great fortune for themselves. I have seen a lot of preachers who make a lot of money for themselves by leading Churches to contribute money towards project that were never executed.
I have seen preachers ask people to give money for crusades, church buildings and etc. that either did not see the light of the day, or something was organized but a little fragment of the funds they collected. Have you ever seen a Church that collects money for Church building, a project whose collection has refused to come to an end? Off course, they are everywhere today!
I know a Church that the Elders were collecting the money and sharing it but claiming one progress or another for years.
So many preachers and Church workers now collect money for Church projects just as a decoy. They collect but use on personal needs. There are false mandates everywhere today.
If you take a true scriptural gaze at the mandates of so many preachers today, you will discover that they fall outside the spirit and letters of the great commission. You will discover that, many made their man- made desires God’s mandates, and ended up repeating the error of the Nimrod generation. A lot of preachers who build things ‘for GOD’ are indeed building them for themselves. They do all that calling it, the work of GOD.
But what we are called to do is the execution of the great commission. The great commission will execute what Jesus said in our devotional text today. He said,
“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you.
I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. ” John 14:1-3 NKJV
If the great commission is fully executed in your life and my life, we will come to the place of rest in Christ in this world, and the world to come. We will be made Heaven worthy. The place the LORD has gone to prepare for us, will be ours indeed when He returned to take us home.
I believe the LORD has given us a word today. In conclusion, I want you to strive to have the Baptism of the doctrine of Christ if you have not had any. Make sure you spend your Christian life fellowshipping in Churches equipped to execute the great commission in your life.
Make sure you sit under preachers with sound doctrine on their lips. The days are dangerous, but God is on our side. He has said we should not let our hearts to be troubled.

“See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Therefore, do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,
speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord,
giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of God.” Ephesians 5:15-21 NKJV
