THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (SATURDAY 24TH AUGUST 2024)

“As a father pities his children, So the Lord pities those who fear Him. For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.” Psalms 103:13-14

WELCOME TO THE 237TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF IMPACT.

It is a good thing to give thanks to the LORD for all his marvelous deeds in our lives. He is awesome and amazing. His word has been our light and His mercies our shelter.

His presence has been the measurement of our wealth, and His outstretched arm our vindication and confidence. Yes, we are fully persuaded that the LORD who has kept us for these 237 days, will still keep us for the rest of our appointed days on earth, in Jesus precious name. Amen.

Every Child of God on the face of the earth feeds from His faithfulness and special care. Oh yes, we are the only breed with special angels assigned to watch over us. We are the only breed with special access to God’s heart.

We are the only ONES who can sit with Him in Heavenly places, and execute the judgment that is written.

We are the only ones who will seat with Him in the ages to come to judge angels. Friend there is a higher life coming after the consummation of all things for every child of God. If you have the revelation, you will live in Joy even if you have no food on your table or shelter over your head.

That was what kept us in our days of lack and poverty, until our change came.

It was the reason why we never traded our souls for anything. We lived with the Bible revelation that teaches that money or no money in our pockets, is not a reflection of how rich we are in God or how weak or strong our relationship with God is.

We knew that eternally, God is the judge of all, but has also made us co judges with Him for the present times, despite our financial situation, and carried our head high, taking down diseases from people’s bodies, demonic strongholds wherever we could find them, and living a power Christian life that gave eternal life to the lost, until our economic change came.

So, believe me when I say your financial status is not a reflection of how special you are to God. Money in your pocket or no money, you are still a special breed in His kingdom. Roof over your head or not, you are still special to God.

If you read Hebrews chapter 11, from 36 to the end, you will understand what I am saying.

SOME PREACHERS MAY HAVE MADE YOU FEEL INFERIOR, BECAUSE OF YOUR FINANCIAL STATUS. NO WORRIES!!!

Do not believe them. They are worshipers of mammon. You are a special breed in God’s kingdom, so long as you carry the presence of God in your life. You are richer than anyone with the presence of money in their pockets if you carry God and they do not. David said,

“When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained, what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him?

For You have made him a little lower than the angels, and You have crowned him with glory and honor.

You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet, All sheep and oxen — Even the beasts of the field,

The birds of the air, and the fish of the sea that pass through the paths of the seas; O Lord, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth! .” Psalms 8:3-9 NKJV

Child of God, if you are genuinely saved, you are a unique breed on the face of the earth despite your financial situation. You may not be proud of how you have lived your life in the past, but be proud of being a Son of God.

Yes, being a saved and sanctified person is something to be proud about. Not a filthy pride, but a heavenly pride; a gracious and healthy sense of self-worth, not an over estimation of self. Friend, we have every reason to be proud of our salvation, even if the world hates us for being saved.

We have every reason to be proud of our salvation, even if we have no food to eat, money to pay rent, or buy good clothes. Those things will come in their seasons, like the came in the lives of our Bible fathers. Our salvation is something to be proud of.

We are the only ones that the creator of Heaven and earth talks to, and reveal things He wants to do on the face of the earth to, long before they are done. We are the only ones He shares His secrets with.

That is why if anyone is looking for God’s secrets, He should not go to the moon or the sun to search for them, neither should he go to any university to read about them. He should just meet us – the saved and sanctified, and the redeemed of the LORD.

HE WILL FIND MUCH MORE THAN ANY UNIVERSITY CAN OFFER.

The Bible says;

“The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, and He will show them His covenant.” Psalms 25:14 NKJV

If someone is mocking you because of your salvation, cheer up, do not allow it to put you down. You are a unique breed. It’s just that they do not know! And maybe, you too do not know.

They may have a relationship with a president but your relationship with God is higher. They may have a relationship with the owners of all the greatest companies in your nation, but you have a relationship with the owner of the entire planet. That is relationship at the highest level.

Relationship at the highest level is not when you relate with the high and mighty of the earth, but the High and Mighty One who owns everything on earth and everyone, and inhabits eternity. The Bible says;

“The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein. For He has founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the waters.” Psalm 24:1-2 NKJV

If our relationship with the owner of the entire planet and everything in it is intact, we are good, and cannot be denied access to what He owns.

The Bible says no good thing will He withhold from anyone who walks uprightly. If something seems to be withheld from us, in spite of our upright walk, it means we are either yet to come into the required maturity to have it, or the full revelation to access it.

God has made so much investment in us that He cannot afford not to care for us. He has made so much investment in us that He cannot afford not to have us with Him in the next life. That is why Christ is weeping for those who are presently in hell.

BUT TO US WHO FEAR HIS NAME, OUR DEVOTIONAL TEXT HAS A LOT TO SAY HOW HE TREATS US!

It says;

“As a father pities his children, So the Lord pities those who fear Him. For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.” Psalms 103:13-14

I don’t care what you feel about yourself as a child of God; God has great care and concern for you. Sometimes, we believe, think or feel otherwise. But our feelings or believe cannot change what have been establish. There is something stronger than our believe, and that thing is God’s faithfulness to us all.

His DNA in us is stronger that what we feel or believe. His seed in us is a stronger evidence than the fear, unbelieve and contrary feelings in us. The bible says as a father pities his Children, so the LORD pities us. He has a special compassion for us.

So, live your days with your head high, fully determine to serve your generation according to the will of God, and you will see His glory kindling your life and making you His shining light in a dark age.

As we bring this to a close, understand that, whenever Satan want to kill a man who is walking with God, He will tell the person, “you are not special to God, He does not even know you are alive.” Sometimes, he does that using the sins you once committed and repented of.

In those dark moments, let the light of the word of God shine in your heart.

Always remember what the Bible says. It says, as a Father pities His children, so the LORD pities those of us who fear Him. The Bible further said, “He knows our frame.” That should not depart from your heart.

It’s my prayer that He uses this short devotional word, to fire your faith into alignment with His plans and purposes for your life, in Jesus precious name. AMEN!

LET THIS SCRIPTURE BE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR YOU TODAY

“The Lord executes righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed. He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel.

The Lord is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy. He will not always strive with us, Nor will He keep His anger forever.

He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor punished us according to our iniquities. For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;

As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us. As a father pities his children, So the Lord pities those who fear Him.

For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.” Psalms 103:6-14 NKJV
