THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (THURSDAY 31ST OCTOBER 2024)

“Also Isaac’s servants dug in the valley, and found a well of running water there. But the herdsmen of Gerar quarreled with Isaac’s herdsmen, saying, “The water is ours.” So he called the name of the well Esek, because they quarreled with him.

Then they dug another well, and they quarreled over that one also. So he called its name Sitnah. And he moved from there and dug another well, and they did not quarrel over it. So he called its name Rehoboth, because he said, “For now the Lord has made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.” Genesis 26:19-22 NKJV

WELCOME TO THE 305TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF IMPACT.

He who began a good work in us will bring it to an end in Jesus precious name. I believe with just 60 days to go, we are going to end the year in an ocean of His goodness and mercies, and start a fresh one in the centre of His will for our lives.

This year has been a year of enlightenment for many. God have been showing us things and helping us to travel through time with Heavenly light. His word has indeed been a lamp to our feet and a light to our paths like never before.

Our spirits have been made stronger and our souls fatter. God has refreshed us time and time again. To Him belong all the glory!

I believe all these are part of God’s end time moves, to wash His bride with the washing of water by the word, and present her to Himself a glorious Church, without spots or wrinkles in readiness for His return.

Talking about the return of the LORD, there is going to be the return of certain Bible moves of God IN OUR DAYS, even as Heaven urge men to prepare the way of the LORD, and make ready a highway for our GOD, through the global Cry of His Holy Spirit.

This will lead to the repeat of a prophetic activity that Isaac got Himself engaged in – the re-digging of the wells that his father Abraham dug.

A major faith position that will be required that we take will be that of Isaac; It is a faith position that the end time saints will take as we all prepare for the glorious appearing of Jesus Christ.

Yes, in seasons like this, the wicked is doing more wickedly, opening ancient portals to usher in ancient demons. The righteous is required that they press into some ancient revival wells in God’s glory and re-dig them so that we can connect our generation to what previous generations had.

The story of Isaac and the wells he dug have been preached with Evangelistic mindset. And it has helped many to build resistance against satanic frustrations. But we can go deeper than that to uncover great prophetic and apostolic truths for our age. Re-digging of ancient revival wells in God’s glory is one major apostolic and prophetic truth to glean from that story!

A lot of believers do not realize that there are wells in the realm of glory, that were dug in time past, and now are needed more than before.

THE WELLS CONSTITUTE WAYS THAT OUR FATHERS STOOD TO SEE THE GLORY OF THE LORD!

The Bible says;

“Thus says the Lord: “Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’ Jeremiah 6:16 NKJV

Are you troubled in your ministry, health, finances, family or marital life? I want to advise you to lift your eyes of your problems for a moment and begin to search for the well in God’s glory you are called to re dig for our generation.

There is a clarion call to the end time saints to get back to GOD, stand in the ways of our fathers and dig some wells in God’s glory again in our generation.

There is need for this generation to step into fresh dimensions of God that eyes have not seen, ears heard or hearts conceived. But the journey will begin only when we Stand in the ways of the LORD and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it.

The result will be an outbreak of God that will result in more people becoming part of third day church. The Bible says believers will begin to find rest for their souls. They will no longer see the enemy in their dwellings, but the glory of the LORD made manifest in its fullness, and the works of God experienced as never before.

When the Bible talk about the old paths, it is important to understand that the old paths are the divine ways that our Biblical fathers followed in their walk with God. They are the divinely crafted routes of life people like Enoch, Methuselah, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Israel, etc. followed.

They contain the wells of salvation that our generation need to be free from the horrors of the last days as we prepare for the glorious appearing of our LORD and saviour Jesus Christ. When we bow the knee in prayer and the heart in study, we will stumble into the divinely crafted routes these ancient men walked in, resulting in the breaking forth of fresh wells of salvation for our generation.

It is important to note that the Christian life is full of divinely crafted routes. It is full of prophetic pathways and directions for each generation, including ours. These spiritual word routes, paths, or directions leads to prophetic destinations!

Some of these destinations are eternal end points created for time, while others are just the blessings and miracles we need. On this note, your desired destination could be divine health, a life partner, a financial raise, deliverance from satanic attacks, or even success in an area of life or ministry.

God wants you to start asking Him for the path to take to get there. Enough of just asking Him to do it! Most things in God’s Kingdom only get solved when we walk in divine paths, not just when we pray. Divine pathways are created by God’s footsteps.

When you make His footsteps your pathways, you will begin to find rest in any restive area of your life. God will begin to restore favour to your land; which implies your life, family, ministry, or business.

The ultimate in Christianity will be experienced when we make God’s footsteps our pathways like our fathers did.

Today is the last day of the month, and as we begin the journey into another month tomorrow, the 11th month of our year of impact, let this word work in your heart. The word is brief but pregnant with wisdom seeds; yes, wisdom seeds that you can camp on, until they incubate in your human spirit, and make you what God created you to be.

MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY!

Yes, the Lord will give what is good; and our land will yield its increase. Righteousness will go before Him, and shall make His footsteps our pathway. Psalm 85:12-13 NKJV
