THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (FRIDAY 8TH NOVEMBER 2024)

“Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.” Mark 11:24-26 NKJV

WELCOME TO THE 313TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF IMPACT.

It is out of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassion fails not. Day unto day we have been seeing His kindness and unconditional love.

Many doubtlessly slept last night and did not wake up. But we slept and woke up. It is not because of our righteousness but because of God’s mercies. Some others slept but woke up on death roll; not by court verdicts but by the verdicts of their health. We have a lot to thank God for.

I also want to counsel that we check our health status frequently, because some people who usually sleep and do not wake up, have health problems they never checked leading to sudden death. So, check your health status and always exercise your body to keep your heart healthy.

It’s being our season of refreshing our hearts on matters of God’s mercies. When the Psalmist said, “I will sing of the mercies of the LORD, forever I will sing,” that involves sharing about it and refreshing his heart with what the mercy of the LORD is.

If God’s goodness and mercies shall follow us all the days of our lives, then it is important that we share about it all the days of our lives. We can never over share about God’s mercies. The Truths are worthy of repeated hearing.

There are mercies, and there are great mercies. These truths are not for entertainment, but for spiritual feeding. If we do not know about the mercies of the LORD, we will not be able to make good use of them.

If we cannot see them resting on people, we will not be able to know those God has laid His hands on and treat them as either His vessel or subjects of His mercies.

If we do not treat subjects of God’s mercy or people God’s mercies is resting on to be His vessels well, we will not know when we are fulfilling Satan’s agenda. God’s mercies can rest upon an individual, a family, a Church, a business enterprise, or a nation.

When it does, we are to treat that individual, family, church, business enterprise or nation well, else we hinder something in the spirit.

JESUS TREATED EVERYONE GOD’S MERCY RESTED UPON WELL, IRRESPECTIVE OF WHO THEY WERE OR WHAT THEY DID.

He treated the woman that was caught in adultery well, because He saw God’s mercies resting upon her, but the Pharisees did not see. He treated the man who was sick for 38years well, and healed him of his diseases because God’s mercy was resting upon him.

He healed the man and later met him somewhere and said to him, “see, you have been made whole. Sin no more least a worst thing come upon you.” Obviously, the man was suffering because of his sins, but God’s mercies rested on him after a season, and Jesus saw it and went and healed him.

The prodigal Son was forgiven and returned home because God’s mercy rested upon him. You can see it in how he survived the consequences of his bad decision, and decided to go back to his father.

Yes, the wealth disappeared but his life did not disappear. That was a sign of God’s mercy upon him.

Another sign was his decision to go back to the Father. There are people that God’s mercy will rest upon, and they will decide to come back home. When they do, please do not send them away. Treat them well, irrespective of what they may have done.

A child of God should not treat anyone God’s mercy is resting upon badly. He or she should not treat them according to what they deserve. They should be treated according to what they do not deserve; they should be treated mercifully because God’s mercies are resting upon them. That is how we become God’s vessels of mercy.

Jesus treated all He saw God’s mercies resting upon well. He was not just the messiah, healer or deliverer when He was physically here. He was also a vessel of mercy. He delivered the woman who was a harlot, with seven spirits upon her life because God’s mercies were resting upon her.

He never treated those God’s mercies rested upon badly. We must do the same. We must also be vessels of mercy for God, so that those He wants touched by His mercies can be touched and maybe changed or transformed.

WE MUST BE LIKE CHRIST AND NOT LIKE THE PEOPLE OF THIS WORLD WHO CANNOT EVEN TELL IF GOD’S MERCY IS RESTING ON SOMEONE.

The world is in need of people who will treat those God’s mercy is resting upon well. It is need to people who will sense the mercy of God on people and be merciful to them even when they do not deserve it.

We must become part of those the world need. They are called, “needed men and women.” We must not be anti-Christ in such matters or in any other matter. If we do, we will become vessels of wrath by default.

Vessels of wrath has the hallmark of ignoring the sufferings of those God’s mercies are resting upon, because their spiritually blinded eyes cannot see it. In fact, they are filled with hate for those God’s mercies are resting upon, hence inflicting them with pain like Pharaoh did to the Israelites.

Some who are not vessels of wrath but just blind, also maltreat people God’s mercies are resting upon. They speak ill of them, allow what the media or people are saying about them to influence them, and count them as thrash.

But those of us who are believers, but blind show our ugly reaction differently. We see some as chief sinners, treating them the way they deserve, instead of the way Christ would have treated them.

Do not forget, most of those God’s mercies rest upon, are full of bad behavior. They do things that you will not want to have anything to do with them. But because the mercy of the LORD is resting upon them, we were supposed to treat them well, as children of God.

The LORD sent today’s devotional to request that we begin to treat people His mercy is resting upon well.

Yes, they might be bad, but if His mercies are resting upon them, we are to change our minds about them, and begin to treat them well so that God can save them. We are not to treat them according to what they deserve, but according to what they do not deserve.

We are to show them grace and mercy.

Though difficult and sometimes very sacrificial and consequential, we are to be like Christ to them, especially if they return like the prodigal son did.

THAT IS HOW TO BE MERCIFUL AS A CHILD OF GOD.

The Bible teaches that if we are merciful, we will obtain mercy ourselves. But if we are not, we will not obtain mercy. Yes, we will not obtain mercy to find grace in time of need, especially when we pray.

That is why the prayer lives of many do not yield results. They do not treat people God’s mercy is resting upon well. Our devotional text says;

This scripture is clear on one of the greatest secrets of result-oriented prayers, which is, “showing mercy in any righteous way, to those who need it.” It says, whatever we ask the LORD in prayer, it will be given to us so long as we have no spiritual deficit; the deficit of not showing love and mercy to someone in our space who needs them.

When we see God’s mercy resting on someone, we are to treat them well, by either forgiving them their trespasses against us, or relieving them of their sufferings, as the LORD enables us. The scripture teaches that if we do not do that, our prayer lives will not yield results.

In simple terms, we will pray but see no results. That is how serious this matter is. That is the word of the LORD to us today!!

Finally, I want to state that, Satan will never allow you to treat someone God’s mercy is resting on well. He wants people to think God hate them. So, do not be his instrument for doing that.

Sometimes we do that to even preachers God’s mercy is resting upon. We treat them very badly, even when they have done no wrong to us but just carry out God’s assignment in our lives. That is not the will of God. We are to discern those God’s mercy is resting upon and begin to treat them well.

Let me close this devotional on a prophetic note. If you understand Revelation 12, you know that one people that God’s mercy rested and manifested upon this week, is the United States of America.

The American Election has come and gone, but let the sons of Issachar know that it was not just a political development but a prophetic development. This is due to God’s end time redemptive agenda for the nations.

WHEN PRAYING ABOUT IT MONTHS AGO, THE LORD SAID TO ME “EVIL WILL EAT UP ITSELF.”

I was worried over Donald Trump and what was happening to him due to the role the LORD wants him to play when that word came. That was when I knew, he will come out well.

Then came his miraculous escape from an assassin bullet; we all saw the hand of the LORD upon him. A man God protected like that, is a vessel in his hands, no matter what people think.

God’s mercy is obviously resting upon him, hence the hate from the ungodly people who rule the mainstream media in the United States; people who mutilate children’s bodies to turn males into females, and females into males, calling it freedom.

Most of what people believe about the now president elect, Donald John Trump, was created by the media. Over a third of Americans saw it and voted for him.

Now, how does this concern the Church global? You might ask. Well, it concerns us in so many ways. Just get the message I preached in 2016 title, “the Trump Sign,” and you will understand.

If you want to know what the devil is doing to destroy God’s redemptive plans for the nations today, and what God is doing to stop him and advance His cause, there are two nations to look at, Israel and the United States.

Israel is God’s prophetic time clock, while the United States, is God’s missionary nation. They have financed the gospel more than any other nation under Heaven. They have printed and distributed Bibles to the rest of the world more than any other nation under Heaven.

A good prophetic gaze on those two nations, will help you order your prophetic conduct right, and find your place in God’s end time plans. Find out more on this in the message, “the Trump Sign.”

You can order for it and it will be sent to you. Send a WhatsApp request for the message, and your email for delivery to +254791333111. Get back to me on +254706370793 if no one responds to you.

MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY!
