TODAY’S DEVOTION (TUESDAY 21ST JANUARY 2025)
“By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king’s commandment.” Hebrews 11:23 KJV
WELCOME TO THE 21ST DAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY.
God is faithful and kind, that is why we are alive. He has given us another day to be alive and serve our generation according to His will. I hope that is what you are using each day to do.
Today we want to talk to a special breed of people who entered this year. I want to talk to men and women who entered into the year, pregnant with things God want to do with their lives this year. If you are one of them, you will find this word a blessing.
Few pregnant people in God’s kingdom make it to the point of delivering their God given visions and mandates. Many get swallowed up in other people’s visions and mandates, with most others doing things that kill their prophetic pregnancies altogether.
This happens due to many factors.
Our significance in life comes through bringing into manifestation the things God has impregnated our spirits with. If there is nothing there, or if there is something but we can’t bring it out, we will begin to live a sorrowful and dissatisfied life. Sometimes we might not know why the sorrows or dissatisfaction.
Understand that our human spirits are like wombs, if they are empty of divine pregnancy from the LORD, there is a measure of God’s grace we will never have in our lives. On the flip side, there are things you go through in life, if your spirit is pregnant with visions and revelations of things God want you to bring forth on the earth.
This spiritual process has its natural counterpart in what women go through after becoming pregnant.
If you ask any woman, she will tell you that the signs of pregnancy can be very troublesome sometimes. Some women will be having headaches, throwing up early in the morning, feeling feverish and very uneasy.
OTHERS WILL BE SO SICKLY THAT THEY CAN’T EVEN WAKE UP FROM THEIR BEDS IN THE MORNING WITHOUT SOME HELP.
As it progresses in the life of some, you find their faces changing; some will become radiant and beautiful, while others will become weak, ugly, and always feeling tired.
This is the natural counterpart of the spiritual troubles you go through when God gets your spirit pregnant with things you are to bring forth to the earth at their appointed times. Some spiritual signs of having a divine conception in your spirit man could be painful, while others not painful.
It is because of the painful challenges that you find people with heavy callings or mandates not pursuing their destiny. But some of the signs are very glorious, and they propel people into their destinies. One of the major spiritual signs of being pregnant with a divine call or mandate, is an uncommon pull to prayer.
Many years ago, a woman of God met me for a fellowship. As we sat down in my space sharing, she began to complain about her youngest son. She said the boy spends more time in prayer than anything else. She said, it was becoming unusual.
The young boy will wake up in the morning, take his bath and retire to one of the rooms praying for hours. I told her it was a sign of a divine call. I was also taken aback until it dawned on me that the same thing happened to me as a little boy.
I always felt something pulling me to prayers. Not that I knew how to pray. It will just drive me to my knees and I will either be saying the rosary or anything I could. We were Catholics then. It was so unusual that my siblings became scared too.
As I grew up in the faith, I began to understand that those were signs of divine destiny; signs of the presence of a call or a mandate. But there are cases that this just a sign that one has come alive in the Spirit. It is when it takes a deeper dimension that you know it is a call.
Glory to God almighty, today we are fulfilling our divine destiny as God’s “teaching priest” and “scribe” to the nations under the apostolic and prophetic grace.
WHATEVER WE SEE TODAY IN MINISTRY, WAS THE SPIRITUAL REALITY THAT WAS ON DISPLAY THEN AS A SPIRITUAL PREGNANCY.
I hope you understand me! My experiences taught me that, if our lives are carrying God’s mandate in them, something significant to fulfill in His kingdom, it will begin to show in our devotional life. We will be feeling something pulling us to prayer from time to time. I call that destiny calls.
Yes, if you respond to such destiny calls over time, you will build a relationship with God that will help you release your divine destiny powerfully, accurately and sometimes both significantly and spectacularly. You will know experientially that divine destinies are released when our relationship with the LORD are strong and healthy.
Permit me to state this; if you entered 2025, feeling like God want to do something significant with your life this year, keep your relationship with Him strong and healthy. Without that, nothing will be done. You will not become anything He want you to be, or be able to bring forth anything He wants you to bring forth.
No one can release his destiny without a consistent and effective relationship with God. If you do not respond to destiny calls and build a relationship with God, you will develop a spiritual condition that is likened to that of a woman with a pregnancy that is not developing.
Our ongoing 40 special days with Jesus, is an opportunity for the spiritual hungry to use in building a kind of relationship with the LORD, that will enable the birthing forth of the things God impregnates a human spirit with. Yes, every lengthy prayer time in God’s kingdom, is usually aimed at helping prophetically pregnant people, to find a devotional Rhythm for their lives.
May you find one in Jesus precious name.
Understand that if there is no spiritual rhythm to bring forth what God impregnates our human spirit with, there will be no significance in life. I pray for you today that you wake up from any slumber during this season and find a spiritual rhythm for your relationship with the LORD.
I PRAY THAT YOU TAKE YOUR EYES OFF YOUR LIFE CHALLENGES AND PUT THEM ON YOUR LIFE PURPOSE.
I pray that you make this year your year of having the very relationship that will enable you to bring forth what God may have impregnated you with. Life is all about what you bring forth on earth. It is one thing to conceive what to bring forth on earth, and another to have the strength to bring it forth.
God said in His word;
Shall I bring to the time of birth, and not cause delivery?” says the LORD. “Shall I who cause delivery shut up the womb?” says your God. Isaiah 66:9 NKJV
No matter how significant what God put in the womb of your spirit is, or how much God wants it to be born on earth, you will need to spend quality time with Him until you receive strength to bring it forth. Yes, you will need a relationship with Him that is healthy and strong enough to allow all He put in your spirit to be born on earth without any successful resistance from the evil one, or his agents.
He said He will never impregnate us with a Heavenly purpose and shut our ability to bring it forth. If you therefore, do not have the resources, and other forms of abilities to bring forth the vision God has put in your spirit, the problem is not Him but you.
You will need to develop a womb opening type of relationship with the LORD, to see all He impregnates your spirit with to be born on earth.
If you do not do that, you will FIND YOURSELF following the pathways of Babylon, which involves developing relationship with the evil system of this world, or substandard spiritual people you find ‘great,’ or compromising your faith to bring the things forth, thereby ruining everything.
It is my prayer that you hear the voice of your maker through this devotional, and find a church like the one in Antioch, with truth and grace dimensions, that can train you into a spiritual womb opening relationship with the LORD, so that you will run your race right and finish your course. Amen!!
MAKE THIS DEVOTIONAL AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY;
“Now in the church that was at Antioch there were certain prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.”
“As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” Then, having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them away.” Acts 13:1-3 NKJV
