TODAY’S DEVOTION (Sunday 9th March 2025)
“Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.” Romans 1:22-23 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 68TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY
Today we will be refreshing our hearts on the importance of having good prophetic eyesight. I hope we are ready.
It is the first day of a new week, I believe this word will help us live through the week successfully. If we can apply it to our daily lives this week, then it can become part of us for the rest of our days on earth. God wants life saving truths in His kingdom to become part of us for a lifetime.
Do not forget, you can only prosper in eternity by what you know and apply to your daily life in time. If we come into the fullness of the revelation of what we are about sharing, it will change our lives positively and improve it significantly.
One of the major challenges we have in the present-day Church is Prophetic blindness. Prophetic blindness is a spiritual deficiency that prevents a Christian from picking clear prophetic information from the realm of the Spirit of God. It usually occurs when one’s carnal nature takes the better part of his spiritual senses.
Once our carnal nature takes the better part of our spiritual senses, we will begin to make decisions that time will come to prove wrong, leading to regrets, sorrows, or any other kind of life peril. We will even find ourselves living lives that do not enjoy the fullness of the blessing God has predetermined or preplanned for us. The many scars in our lives testify to that.
The worse of this kind of life happens to many after death. The Bible warns that those who live such lives will one day die thinking they will make heaven, only to wake up in hell.
OBVIOUSLY, THE CARNAL NATURE OF MANY OF US IN CHURCH TODAY HAS TAKEN OVER THE ENTIRE ASPECTS OF OUR SPIRITUAL SENSES.
Leading to the birth of Christian lives that are full of ungodly behavior, marriages that has no bliss in them, church groups under the ichabod decrees of the Almighty, the rise of ungodly and carnal preachers treated as spiritual mentors and pastors, and other spiritual ills in the body of Christ.
If you look at the lives that believers of the 1st century church lived, and most of our lives today, you will release that over 90% of the present Christians are blind prophetically. Some only see into the realm of the demonic. They do not see into the realm of God’s glory where the doctrine of Christ is revealed.
Majority of Christians today have become so blind that they cannot even recognize the anti-Christ in voices of the many prophets in church today. Most call their sorceries prophecies and divination revelation.
For instance, most of us are so prophetically sick that we depend on others for the interpretation of our dreams, making some so-called prophetic people our dream interpreters. It is prophetic blindness that makes us give our dreams, visions and revelation to others for interpretation.
The challenge of prophetic blindness is not a small obstacle in present-day church. We must fight it so that it will not ruin us till the end of our days. For instance, it is prophetic blindness that makes us accept things that look promising only for time to prove us wrong.
It is prophetic blindness that makes a Christian venture into a business, invest all he has but come out with nothing to show for it. If he was not blind, he would have known ahead that the Business will fail and not make any investment into it.
I have seen believers venturing into things that I prophetically sense will only blossom for a while then stop, not listening to wise counsel.
THEIR BLINDNESS DOES NOT LET THEM SEE WHAT YOU MAY BE SEEING AND SAYING TO THEM.
It feels them with all the natural prospects the business has but does not let them see the failure that will come thereafter, and when you try to help them, they will think you are not well informed about the business. Their carnal crave for whatever hope the business has will prevent them from listening.
I have had very bitter experiences with people who are so blind, yet they think they are seeing. People like the Pharisees! That is why as soon as I sense the Pharisee spirit in a person, I refrain from speaking because the spirit makes them arrogant and hurtful.
It takes a humble and teachable spirit to be guided by the prophetic anointing from God’s throne. The Bible says only the humble will God guide in judgment or discernment, not the arrogant. That is why you always find the spiritually arrogant, blind to future disasters.
Child of God, at the root of every financial loss is prophetic blindness!
Yes, prophetic blindness is the reason for the financial losses we suffer as children of God sometimes, not really our enemies. It is the reason many of us do not fully follow the LORD.
The 1st King of Israel comes to mind at this point. His prophetic blindness was what made him rebellious and disobedient. The blindness did not let him see the reward of faithfulness and the blessing of fully obeying the LORD. It did not let him see the curse of entering an office God never ordained him into, the office of the priesthood.
He ended up rendering an unlawful sacrifice to God which led to his replacement.
Prophetically blind people will commit sins at ease because they do not see what harvest their sins are preparing for them. That means when people are blind prophetically, they will lose the sense of God’s judgment on sin and come to a realm where they are made to believe that they do not need repentance.
DESPITE ALL SAMUEL SAID TO SAUL, HIS BLINDNESS COULD NOT LET HIM REPENT OR SEE THE WEIGHT OF HIS ACTIONS.
He would later go to consult a witch. That tells us that one of the ultimate curses of becoming prophetically blind is alliance with dark spirits and people with accuracy of visions and interpretation of dreams from the spirit of divination. You will find them aligning with men and women with no true word or Spirit from GOD, then people with the doctrine of Christ.
The Bible teaches that when people are blind prophetically, preachers walking in false spirits will become their prophets and seers. They will become their acceptable prophets and preachers. The book of Micah says,
“If a man walking in a spirit [of vanity] and in falsehood should lie and say, I will prophesy to you of wine and strong drink, O Israel, he would even be the acceptable prophet of this people!” Micah 2:11 AMP
When you are blind prophetically, lying prophets will become true to you.
You will be looking for God in dead places. You will be calling abominable preachers like prophetic witches and wizards, demonically induced seers, adulterers, fornicators, lesbians and gays in GOD’s garments, anointed men and women of God. You will not just stop there, you will be warning people not to say anything against their dark activities.
King Saul, the 1st King of Isreal was not the only person in scriptures whose blindness destroyed. We also have Eli and his sons among many others.
If you look at the lives of Eli and his sons (God’s priests at Shiloh), you will see another dimension of the curse of prophetic blindness. It made them corrupt, sexually perverse, and insensitive to the spiritual consequences of their wicked actions.
WE STATED EARLIER THAT WHEN A MAN IS PROPHETICALLY BLIND, HE WILL NOT BE SENSITIVE TO WHAT SINS DOES TO HIS SOUL.
You will see him committing it and thinking nothing bad is happening, until he gets to a point of no remedy. That was the error of Samson. He only came to the realization of the consequences of his sins after he lost his eyes. Sadly, even after his hair was restored, his eyes were never restored.
Satan will always want us blind to what our sins, prayerlessness, lack of time with God and His word, or our attempts to find God in the wrong Church, etc. is doing to us. He will not want us to perceive the spiritual consequences of our natural actions.
Prophetic blindness is the same as spiritual blindness. It is the state of not being able to perceive and receive spiritual truth, leading to the rejection of God’s word, directive, ways, will, teachings, instructions, justice system, or mercy. It is responsible for not having love for truth and seeing those who bear it as haters or antagonists.
It is the reason that those who profess to be wise become fools who change the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man. Our devotional text says,
“Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.” Romans 1:22-23 NKJV
What is the message today? The message is simple, do not live in prophetic blindness as a Christian. If you do, you will be turning God into your own image and likeness, missing the most of what He has pre planned for you.
In a terminal generation like ours, one major thing Satan will do to keep us unprepared for God, is to throw us into a state of prophetic blindness, using the circumstances of life and the ungodly things our flesh craves for. That was what Jesus warned us about!
But we must rise to say no to the devil by keeping the warnings of Christ before us!

“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. Matthew 24:36-39 NKJV
