TODAY’S DEVOTION (Thursday 13th March 2025)
“And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:4-5 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 72nd DAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY
Today we will be gleaning some truths from the number three. I hope you are ready. We have always said on this platform that God speaks in numbers. He speaks in colors and speaks in dreams, visions and revelation.
Except you are reading the devotionals for the first time, our decision to glean truths from the number three will not be strange to you.
In prophetic or biblical numerology, the number three has a lot to teach us because it represents the God head. It is also the number of Jesus because it represents the 7th number of God, and the third heaven. It is also the number that teaches of the third dimension, which has the third day church and the power of the resurrection of Christ.
Do not forget, Jesus was crucified and buried, and on the third day He rose again. The number three is an amazing number that represents the resurrection of Christ, which is the core of the Christian faith.
Everyone knows that resurrection is the bedrock of the Christian faith!
That is why there cannot be genuine salvation until a man encounters the resurrection power of Jesus Christ. It is the resurrection power that creates the miracle of salvation. It is the resurrection power that convicts us of sin and resurrects us to righteousness.
There can be no moral excellence without the resurrection power of God at work in us. There can be no genuine repentance without the resurrection power of Christ at work in us. There can be no victory over the works of the evil one without the resurrection power of Christ at work in us.
The power of the Holy Ghost is a resurrection power. It can bring a dead marriage back to life. It can bring dead organs in anyone’s body back to life. It can revive a business, a backsliding soul, a dying Church, or family.
THAT IS THE POWER GOD WANTS TO BE AT WORK IN US, SO THAT EVEN OUR PRAYERS CAN BE ANSWERED.
It is the very power that makes the gospel a change agent, and a Christian life a supernatural one. It emits God’s resurrection capabilities to any dead situation, and neutralizes the gates or destructive forces of hell, death, and grave.
Satan fears it more than any other force of God on earth, and will want to replace it in your life with olive oil, holy water, prayer clothes etc. That is why all elects of Christ who know, are resisting him in all fronts.
God wants you to have this power and Satan wants you not to have. It is the only power that gives us miracles freely, deliverances without raising altars of sacrifice, running after prophets, having some sleep with us, going to mountains and caves to pray or sow seeds.
It is important to note that there are three gates of the enemy that are responsible for all human problems. That is why the resurrection power of Jesus Christ is the only lethal weapon that can deal with all human problems. I have seen this power make even dead and barren wombs conceive. There is nothing it cannot do in your life.
It was the power that brought Lazarus back to life after being in the grave for four days. It was the power that healed the sick, and casted out the demons Jesus confronted. It was the same power that touched a young Roman soldier, the only Son of his mother, who died in battlefield and was put in a coffin on the way to be buried.
The power touched him when Jesus touched the coffin, and He came back to life. The good news is, Jesus is still with us today to touch us. He is even more with us today that He was with them.
YOU ONLY NEED TO FIND A CHURCH BUILT AROUND HIM, HIS DOCTRINE, WILL AND WORD, AND MEET HIM THERE.
You will not need a bottle of oil in your hands, sand from anywhere, or do anything. You will only need to find the church and sit there to be made His disciple, and you will experience Him.
History has it that this young man had been embalmed. In those days virtually all vital organs of the body are removed during embalmment.
So, what was in that coffin was like a shell of human flesh. But the one who created man and breathed into Him to become a living being was the very person that touched the coffin, and the resurrection power brought the man back to life! It replaced all vital organs and gave him his life again.
Your life may have been financially, spiritually or physiologically like this boy’s life. It might have been so battered by your bad decisions or the evil one that its vital aspects are no more. But with God all things are possible. Jesus can fix it back. His touch can restore all the critical aspects of your life, no matter how bad the situation is.
Stop running after men and start running after God. His resurrection power remains the answer to all problems.
The LORD spoke to us yesterday about building our lives around His presence. The resurrection power of Jesus is one of the blessings of the presence of God. It is one thing that gets unleashed on us when we spend time with the LORD, or plant ourselves in Churches where the doctrine of Christ is taught, practiced and enforced in the lives of people.
In fact, God confirms the teaching or preaching of the doctrine of Christ by unleashing His resurrection power on those walking in its light. It is the doctrine that propels our faith to be built in the power of God instead of the wisdom of men or dark practices. Our devotional text says:
“And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God”.
WHAT WE HEAR FROM THE MOUTH OF PREACHERS IS VERY IMPORTANT.
If they speak to us the persuasive words of human wisdom, and we take them into our lives, we will be cut off from the power of Christ’s resurrection. Our faith will be built in the wisdom of men instead of the power of God.
That is why everyone must come to terms with what Jesus appointed all preachers to preach. He appointed all preachers to preach His doctrine, what He has already taught the early Church in the Holy Bible. The early church calls it the doctrine of Christ.
He never appointed that preachers preach about raising altars, breaking of altars, silencing of altars, sowing of seeds, redemption of first born, and all the nonsense.
He never appointed that the communion of demons be served as holy communion, or the feet of people be washed or anointed with oil for breakthroughs, or the church be turned into a metaphysical cult, social club, political party or money-making machine.
He appointed that the doctrine of Christ be preached by holy men and women of God, so that His resurrection power can be at work in our lives instead of the dark powers that we see in churches today, powers that gives you money or marriage but cannot give you morality.
Child of God, Satan knows these things more than most in church today. That is why he has successfully replaced the doctrine of Christ in so many churches, with the doctrine of men and devils. Consequently, replacing the power of Christ resurrection with other powers; power that make people rich economically but not rich morally.
The apostles were not preaching the gospel most of preachers preach today. They were not preaching persuasive words of men’s wisdom or secular humanism.
They were preaching and teaching the doctrine of Christ in the demonstration of the Spirit and the resurrection power of God. Until you sit under a pastor who does so, you will remain in the dark realm of life. That is the message of today’s devotional.
