TODAY’S DEVOTION (Monday 5th May 2025)
“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.
We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed — always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.” 2 Corinthians 4:7-10 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 125th DAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY
We thank God for giving us this day and will forever remain grateful for His marvelous works. It is already 125 days from our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ. His grace has been amazing and power excellent.
One of the mysteries of God is how He uses man to reach man. How He put Heavenly treasures in an earthen vessel to reach another earthen vessel.
Apostle Paul said, “He does that so that the Excellency of power may be of Him and not of us.”
One of the treasures God puts in an earthen vessel before using him or her to reach others is His abiding presence. The essence is to open Heavenly portals within him or her.
When Heavenly portals are not opened within an earthen vessel, it cannot be used by God to minister effectively to others.
But when they open, though the person will become hard pressed on every side because of the reaction of hell and hellish people, the life of Jesus will be manifesting in him or her to reveal Christ to men.
The most important part of an earthen vessel therefore is his or her heart. The Bible says:
“Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life. Put away from you a deceitful mouth, and put perverse lips far from you.” Proverbs 4:23-24 NKJV
The heart is the place where the transformation that shapes us takes place. It is the place that Christ need to dwell in for Him to be seen in our moral lives.
When what you ought to know in Christ is not revealed to your heart, you will not be able to actualize your potential as a child of God.
IT IS IN THE HEART THAT THE THINGS WE NEED TO KNOW ARE MADE KNOWN.
Now, talking about things we need to know, I want you to understand that there are things we ought to know as not just Christians but humans; things that if we do not know, we will be ruined. The things are the very things that GOD designed us to know.
Sometimes, they are taught at an advanced level (directly by the LORD to us). Other times they are shared through human vessels. However we encounter them, they have the capacity to open Heavenly portals in our souls when they are known.
Portals are spiritual gates that connect the invisible world with the visible. Jesus spoke about them when He said to Nathaniel, “Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.” John 1:51 NKJV
Jesus was referring to the opening of Heavenly portals within His human spirit, soul and body. The revelation teaches us that either portals of hell or Heaven can be opened within a man.
When they do, the person can easily communicate with the invisible realm that owns them.
There is a moment that the Portal of Heaven opened over Jesus. That great moment is captured in the book of Matthew chapter 17. They Bible says that day, His face was transformed like the Sun. I believe Moses had the same experience, hence returning with a face that was shining from inside out.
The first time Heavenly portals opened over Earth was at creation. But the first time they opened within a man was in the Garden of Eden.
THE EARTH WAS CREATED UNDER SEVEN PORTALS OF GLORY, THAT WAS WHY IT WAS CREATED FOR SIX DAYS WITH GOD RESTRING ON THE SEVENTH.
There were other times Heavenly portals opened over earth after that. One of the significant times was in the place Jacob would later call Bethel. That was what Jesus was referring to when He spoke with Nathaniel. The Bible says,
“Now Jacob went out from Beersheba and went toward Haran. So he came to a certain place and stayed there all night, because the sun had set. And he took one of the stones of that place and put it at his head, and he lay down in that place to sleep.
Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. Genesis 28:10-12 NKJV
Open Heavens are actually “portals of Heaven” opened over earth or individuals, and that is the gateway of blessings.
As earlier stated, God originally discerned that Heavenly Portals open both in and around man.
The soul of a man is built in such a way that Portals (either from Heaven or hell) can open within it. That is how people communicate with either God or demons.
If Heavenly portals opened over you, it would change your life. It is God’s way of transferring Blessings from Heaven to you on earth. When a Heavenly portal opened over Jacob, it brought so much into his life. Here is what the Bible says about that.
“And behold, the Lord stood above it and said: “I am the Lord God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give to you and your descendants.
Also your descendants shall be as the dust of the earth; you shall spread abroad to the west and the east, to the north and the south; and in you and in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.
Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.” Genesis 28:13-15 NKJV
JACOB WILL GO TO LIVE UNDER THIS PORTAL FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE.
The portal opened and certain blessings left Heaven to His life. The first was the promise to possess the land he was lying on. Along with the promise was the Heavenly backing his descendants would need to possess it.
Something that has not left the earth since then. That is why Israel is still where it is today despite the opposition it is facing in the Middle East.
The second blessing was the power from Heaven to increase and spread everywhere despite the odds. He did not just enjoy those blessings; his descendants would also come to enjoy it.
The next blessing was eternal, the promised Messiah. This is the seed through which all the families of the earth are to be blessed. Today we can see that it has come to pass. Indeed, in him all the nations of the earth have been blessed through the preaching of the gospel.
The last blessing that was released upon him that day was an ever-abiding presence of God.
The presence came, open a Heavenly portal over him, and left a special abiding presence of God in his life. Not everyone on the face of the earth has this blessing.
If we all have it, there will be no successful attack of the devil anywhere on earth. That day God said to Jacob;
“Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.”
That is the blessing of abiding presence of God! Jacob would later travel to the land Haran to live with Laban.
The man would not know that it was not just a blood relative that came to him but someone with the portals of Heaven over his life. That was why after Laban changed his wages ten times, he still did not diminish. In fact, the portal made sure all the wealth of Laban was lost to Jacob.
IF A PORTAL OF HEAVEN OPENS OVER YOUR LIFE, YOU WILL LIVE A BLESSED LIFE EVEN IF YOUR DWELLING IS AMONG DEVILS.
They will watch you get blessed despite their attacks. You will always find a table prepared for you by the LORD in the presence of your enemies. Satan can resist any life successfully but not a life with a Heavenly portal over it.
Finally, I want to submit to you that we live in a dangerous age. Do not live a life that aimlessly seeks prophets to prophesy or deliverance preachers to stop some demons for it. That will not help you permanently. Seek the opening of heavenly portals over your life, and that will give you permanent help.
Also stay away from bearers of doctrines of devils. Some of these doctrines are doctrines of lost stars, doctrines of evil altars, doctrines of redemption pf first born, and other related doctrines.
Doctrines of devils open evil portals over the hearts of those who have taught them and keep the demonic closer to them, that is why people who are taught such things always in need of one prayer or the other.
Friend, you cannot be free from demonic oppression, learning what they call ‘revelation about satanic operations’ because they open evil portals within people. Do not forget that words – either from hell or from Heaven – are keys that open spiritual doors (portals) within us when we encounter them!
You must put away lying and heretic preachers from your life. I pray that God use these truths to improve your walk and talk with Him in Jesus precious name. AMEN!

Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”
While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!” Matthew 17:1-6 NKJV
