TODAY’S DEVOTION (Thursday 17th July 2025)
“Defend the poor and fatherless; do justice to the afflicted and needy. Deliver the poor and needy; free them from the hand of the wicked.”
“They do not know, nor do they understand; they walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are unstable.”
“I said, “You are gods, and all of you are children of the Most High. But you shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.” Psalms 82:3-7 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 198TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY.
God be glorified for giving us another day to be alive and well. He has been our dwelling place from generation to generation. We slept and woke up because the LORD kept us.
The word of the LORD is sacrosanct. The Bible says it is yeah and amen.
Once it has gone out of His mouth, it’s already done. It’s just a matter of time, because it is not designed to return to Him void without accomplishing what He please. His thoughts towards us are thoughts of peace, not of evil. To give us a future and hope. It is that future that our faith is on, not our feelings.
The Bible says the just shall live by faith, not by feelings. The quickest way to ruin your chances and destroy even a divine program is to operate by feelings. If Jesus had operated by feelings, He would not have carried the cross, thereby destroying a four-thousand-year-old plan.
Feelings can be misleading because they are situational. Once the circumstances change, they come to an end. But the thoughts of God concerning us are forever. His thoughts remain the same despite changes in any circumstance. That is why the righteous may fall seven times but rise again.
The thoughts of God for his life are responsible for the repeated rise.
For many days now we have been looking at the things that our divine destiny needs to be fulfilled. We have seen very critical things, some of which cannot be found anywhere else except on this platform. We urge you to go back to previous devotional if you are catching up with us today and come to speed on these things.
The next thing your divine destiny needs to be fulfilled is knowledge. Yes, knowledge.
Everyone who fulfilled their destiny was schooled in the things of God. All came in the volume of the books; they were spiritually aware. They were not in the dark concerning any issue of life. In fact, God made the darkness like the noon day for those who were truly intimate.
TO BE IN THE DARK MEANS TO BE IGNORANT OF SOMETHING OR TO BE IN A STATE OF NOT BEING AWARE OF SOMETHING.
The Bible says man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. The reason is because, the greatest killer of ignorance and the worst enemy of people who keep others in the dark, is revealed knowledge or divine awareness.
God lives and He speaks! He speaks in light so that whatever is in the dark can be exposed and destroyed. What I am trying to share is, God is always speaking.
The throne room of God is constantly emanating light, understanding, voices, visions, and revelations to the earth. That is why those who are connected to it do not walk in the dark concerning matters of life. They usually know God’s immediate present will concerning every issue standing before them, they are constantly animated with awareness from His throne.
You see, words are constantly proceeding from Heaven to the earth. It is just that we are too weak to pick them accurately.
Yes, precious words are constantly proceeding from Heaven to the earth. The entrance of such words is what breaks down and become prophecies, visions, revelations, instructions, directives, insights, light and understanding in the hearts of those who receive them.
These are the words that kills ignorance and promote the awareness needed for the release of destiny!!The Bible spoke about a generation that understands the times and know what Israel ought to do.
God wants us to be part of that generation. I have met quite a few believers that are part of it already. They know which kind of messages ought to be preached now. They know the kind of preachers we no longer need. They know the kind of churches that people should not attend, and the ones people should attend.
They know our times and season and what the Church ought to do because they are in constant touch with what is going on in the throne room of God. In other words, they are in constant touch with God’s proceeding word!
It is this generation we call in prophetic parlance “THE SONS OF ISSACHAR.” God does not want us to be in the dark concerning anything in His plans for our lives or the planet in general. He wants us to be the sons of Issachar of our generation.
BUT LET US LOOK AT OUR DEVOTIONAL TEXT TODAY!
Our devotional text today is full of truths we cannot unearth in a devotional. But Jesus came to die, first to restore us back to God, and second to restore back God’s likeness to us – what we lost at the fall.
A major highlight in our devotional says,
They do not know, nor do they understand; they walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are unstable.
I said, “You are gods, and all of you are children of the Most High. But you shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.”
The greatest killer of men is simply “not knowing.”
If you do not know who you are in Christ Jesus, you will never be able to press into it and become what God wants you to become.
If you do not know that a woman you are about marrying is already married or pregnant for another man, you will suffer for not knowing. If you do not know that the water you are about drinking has been poisoned, you will die for not knowing. If you do not know your future, you will destroy it before you get there.
If you do not know that the marriage you are about entering into will crash unredeemable in five years or less, you will pay the price of not knowing.
If you do not know that the man you call “Papa” or “my Prophet” is a medium and silent agent of darkness, you will perish for not knowing; like the young prophet from Judah in 1 kings 13 perished.
If you do not know that your church has become a gate of hell on earth, you will keep financing it until your source of income is consumed by the judgments of God.
If you do not know what the Bible says about an issue of life you will suffer for not knowing.
WE CAN GO ON AND ON. PEOPLE ARE DESTROYED FOR NOT KNOWING!
Many do not know that Jesus is the only way to Heaven, hence following man made religions in the hope that it will be well with them after death.
A lot in church today do know that there is a false grace that is taking people to hell. There are people who do not know that they should set their lives in order now, because they have less than 3 years to live.
Not knowing is the greatest killer of men – in and outside the Church. In fact, it is the reason people go to hell! That is why God is raising apostolic and prophetic teaching ministries to kill the scourge of not knowing. He does not want us to live in a state of not knowing.
Our problems are not really our problems. Our problems are simply “not knowing.” If you will ever fulfill your destiny in Christ, you must be in constant pursuit of knowledge. You must constantly live in THE STATE OF KNOWING.
MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE BE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY;
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with my eye. Do not be like the horse or like the mule, which have no understanding, which must be harnessed with bit and bridle, else they will not come near you.” Psalms 32:8-9 NKJV
