TODAY’S DEVOTION (Thursday 7th August 2025)
“Behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared. Beware of Him and obey His voice; do not provoke Him, for He will not pardon your transgressions; for My name is in Him.
But if you indeed obey His voice and do all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.” Exodus 23:20-22 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 219th DAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY
Glory to The Most High God for another day!! It is out of God’s mercies that we are not consumed because His compassion fails not.
We have been looking at the things our divine destiny needs to be fulfilled. The next is angelic ministration. Yes, you got it right, our divine destinies will need angelic ministration to be fulfilled. If God’s angels do not encamp around us, it will be over for us, because there are too many haters around these days!!
Daniel was thrown into the Lion’s Den by betrayers and hatters. They instigated the king to do the dirty job. But God’s angels were on hand to save him. The man of destiny, Daniel, was thrown into a den full of hungry lions. His friend the king could not sleep. The Bible says he fasted all night. He knew it was over for Daniel. But God sent His angels to the rescue.
When he finally came out of the place, he said this to the king:
…”O king, live forever! My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths, so that they have not hurt me, because I was found innocent before Him; and also, O king, I have done no wrong before you.” Daniel 6:21-22 NKJV
If you are surrounded by lions, you will need this kind of angelic assistance to fulfill your destiny regardless of their activities in your life.
Lion within this context represents evil. The Bible teaches that evil can slay a man’s life. If the enemy creates evil around to slay you in any way, or hinder you from fulfilling your destiny, you will still fulfill it regardless due to angelic assistance. If you are surrounded by evil and unreasonable men and women, God’s angels can still bring the divine assistance you need to fulfill your destiny regardless of their presence.
IT IS GOD’S ANGELS ON ASSIGNMENT THAT GIVES US A TABLE IN THE PRESENCE OF OUR ENEMIES.
For Daniel, it was spectacular. When God brought him out of the lion’s den, it was the turn of those who instigated him to be put there to be cast into the same place. Wicked and unreasonable men and women do not know that the principle of turn by turn applies when God is helping us against our enemies. What they do to us will also be done to them. It is just a matter of time.
The Bible says the same king they manipulated to put Daniel there, had them thrown into the Lion’s den, and they were eaten by the hungry beasts.
God’s interventions can be that dramatic. When the enemy instigates people to attack you for any reason, once they are through with their attacks, it will be their turn to be attacked. You will find the LORD or His angels on assignment bringing upon them the very things they threw at you.
In the case of Daniel, the Bible says both the men and their families where not spared. God executed judgment on all, using the same forces they used against His servant Daniel. Our generation is really bereaved of such moves of God. I think this is time for us to experience these same things so we can know that God is alive and the same.
If you see people who are hotly pursuing their divine destiny, please stay clear of their paths. Do not think that what you do to them will ever go unpunished. Let the stories of these men teach you how wide the scope of the punishment of those who stand on the way of men or women of destiny will be. It will not be limited to them alone.
It will touch everyone who is part of their lives directly or indirectly. Here is my counsel to us all; anointed with the anointing of the holy one, touch not. Prophets who carry truth and righteousness, do them no harm. Men and women in hot pursuit of their destinies, stay clear their paths. Your life may not end well if you do not.
THE BIBLE SAYS, OUR GOD IS UNCHANGEABLE. HE IS STILL THE SAME, YESTERDAY, TODAY AND FOREVER!
His promises of being an enemy to the enemy of men and women of destiny still stand. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but that promise, as well as others, shall not pass away. He said in our devotional text:

The word angel in this scripture means messenger. It was a messianic expression of the presence of the pre -incarnate Christ among them. In other words, Jesus Christ was the Angel God referred to. He was among the Israelites as a pillar of cloud by Day, and a pillar of Fire by Night.
The Bible calls Him the messenger of the New Covenant. But today He is among us through the His Word and Spirit. But the Bible says thousands upon ten thousand of angels’ minister to Him. So, if He comes into our services, or space or lives, they come with Him.
Those are the angels that build their camp around us to enable us to fulfill our destiny.
They will always meet with those who might be coming to do us harm and stop them like Laban was stopped by one when he was pursuing Jacob to do him harm. After that Jacob ran into a camp of angels. They were the very ones that made sure he was blessed even in the house of Laban.
He met them before he met Esau, that was why everything ended well for him. The Bible says:
So, Jacob went on his way, and the angels of God met him. When Jacob saw them, he said, “This is God’s camp.” And he called the name of that place Mahanaim. Genesis 32:1-2 NKJV
Your destiny will need this kind of God’s camp around your life to be fulfilled. The Bible is full of other stories of how angels helped God’s people fulfill His assignment for their lives. At one time God sent just one angel, to take out 185,000 men who had gathered against His people. He will always send them to take out those who want to take you out. You only need to ask Him in prayer.
May your life not lack such interventions as you live each day pursuing your destiny. Amen!!
