TODAY’S DEVOTION (Tuesday 2nd September 2025)
Thus says the Lord: “Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’ Jeremiah 6:16 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 245TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY
One of the best prayers to be praying as a child of God is, “LORD, show me the destiny pathways to my blessings. Show me eternal paths to walk in and arrive at your desired blessing for my life. The revelation that might come in response will shape your life eternally.
It is the 2nd day of the 9th month of our year of victory, and we are grateful for all the LOVE and mercies the LORD has sown us, and the marvelous things He has done in our lives. What I consider the best is His continual release of light and understanding. The vision is to see us planted or established in and totally synched with His will and ways!!
Until that vision is fulfilled in our lives, the harvest of the seeds of His mercies and faithfulness in our lives, demonstrated on the cross and sealed by His precious blood, is not actualized.
The Bible teaches that God’s mercies and faithfulness should motivate us to find His will and ways, plant or establish ourselves in them, and get every fiber of our being synchronized with them. When that happens, our lives will become living Epistles of God’s will and ways; people will be able to look at them and know what the will of God for their own lives is.
Yes, they will be able to see what God’s ways are and how to walk in them looking at us. When that happens, the great commission will be fulfilled in its most lethal form.
It is important to understand that the execution of the great commission is the ultimate reason why all of us are alive. Jesus handed it over to the early Church, and His Holy Spirit have been handing it over, from generation to generation, to men and women like you, which is the reason we all got saved.
The great commission has “the go ye mandate” as its name in certain generations. It was coined out of the Authorized King James Version of the Bible.
THE NEW KING JAMES VERSION PUTS IT THIS WAY:
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. Matthew 28:18-20 NKJV
We are alive because of these words you just read. Yes, you woke up this morning because of them. If no one has told you that, we are telling you this morning. That is why when the authentic Holy Ghost is released upon us, the first thing He drives us to do is begin to share the gospel with others. He will make you a witness of Jesus Christ.
That was what happened to me. I have shared my story repeatedly.
It is what happened to many others I have read about in both Church History and the History of world Missions and Evangelism. He came upon them and put a passion for souls in their hearts and began to send them, first to the lost around them, primarily to make them disciples of Jesus Christ.
Some began from door to door, person to person, and then grew in capacity to reap entire sinners or lost souls in villages, cities or nations, into the Kingdom of God. Others just packed their bags and moved into the mission fields as soon as He came upon them.
If you say you have received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, and nothing about the great commission is being fulfilled by your hands, then check the kind of Holy Ghost baptism you received.
IT COULD BE A BAPTISM OF THE FAKE HOLY GHOST THE BIBLE WARNED US ABOUT.
The fake one builds Babylon Christianity and church; it keeps you in one place to build towers and cities (towering lifestyles) to make a name for yourself. He keeps us seeking money, money, money, or the death of our enemies. He makes us self-centered and presents earthly material acquisition as the purpose of faith or salvation.
But the real one purifies our hearts, souls, and motives, then align us with God’s ways and will, and sends us out. He sends us into the world of the sinners around us to make them disciples of Christ. In fact, when Jesus says He was sending the Church the Holy Ghost, He said He will make us witnesses for Him when He comes.
In other words, he will send us to preach both with our lips and lives. The Bible says:
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8 NKJV
Friend, it is important to understand that our corporate destiny as the church is to make disciples of all nations, by executing this commission from the LORD. God’s way of making us do that in the most lethal way possible is to get His Spirit to Baptize us in His person, fire and Power (not just water) and then teach us to synchronize our lives with His will and ways. Our devotional text says:

You see, the church has largely succeeded in trying to make people disciples of Christ by our lips, but we have failed in the second aspect, the aspect of making them disciples of Christ by our lives. And that is the most lethal aspect.
IT IS THE MOST EFFECTIVE ASPECT. IT REAPS MORE INTO THE KINGDOM AND GETS THEM PLANTED THERE MORE THAN ANY OTHER WAY.
Sadly, that is the very aspect that we have failed in. We have failed in the most lethal and productive aspect. We use our lips to bring people into the kingdom, but some only end up in church. They do not enter the kingdom because our lives are contrary to the will and ways of the LORD.
We even now have people who hate the church and will have nothing to do with our Jesus Christ. Yes, some hate the church unjustly. They hate us because they are ignorant, others because they are selfish and wicked, and some others because they are agents of Satan.
But the people I am referring to are the lost souls who hate the church because the devil has used our iniquities, ungodly, wicked and sinful decisions to push them away from the LORD. They do not hate Christ but the hate us because we have not used our lives to portray how Christ look like.
Yes, many of us are not synchronized with God’s will and ways. Consequently, the lost cannot find the LORD or His will and ways in how we get or stay married.
We do exactly as they do and never show them the difference. Many cannot find Christ, His will and ways in how we use our lips. Most of us lie, slander, blackmail, and cheat a lot. The lost cannot find the LORD in us in any way.
Most believers, especially those preaching, are yet to find God’s will and ways, others are yet to be established in them. Many others are yet to become synchronized with them. The bible describes the life lived by many of us (especially preachers) this way:
“Such persons claim they know God, but from seeing the way they act, one knows they don’t. They are rotten and disobedient, worthless so far as doing anything good is concerned.” Titus 1:16 TLB
The call of God this morning is that we return to the will and ways of the LORD if we have not. He wants us to find them, get established in them, and have the totality of our lives synchronized with them. He wants us to live our days making His will and ways our will and ways.
The Bible teaches that his will and ways are His footsteps and pathways. It urged us to make them our pathways. When you we do that, we will not just become lethal weapons in God’s hands, we will begin to find rest in any restive area of our life. God will begin to restore favor and significant blessings to our lands (lives). We will see them in our families, ministries, and economic lives.
May this month bring the best of God to us as we walk in the light of this scripture!!! Amen.
