TODAY’S DEVOTION (SUNDAY 9TH November 2025)
He was king over Jeshurun when the leaders of the people assembled, along with the tribes of Israel.
“Let Reuben live and not die, nor his people be few.”
And this he said about Judah: “Hear, LORD, the cry of Judah; bring him to his people. With his own hands he defends his cause. Oh, be his help against his foes!” Deuteronomy 33:5-7 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 313TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY
We give the glory for another week that He has prepared for us. It is the first day of a fresh week, and we are glad. His mercies made it happen and we do not take it for granted. If we were to pay for our heart beats, we would have all been dead.
Blessed be the LORD who heals us, fights for us, provides for us, shelter us from storms, does not keep record of our wrongs, answer our prayers and keeps us alive freely. To Him belong all glory. Amen and amen.
God has a word for us today. The Bible says man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from His mouth. The mystery of visionary relations from hell was what the LORD made us to understand yesterday. Today we will be looking at the mystery of visionary relations from Heaven. I hope you are ready to eat!!
I have always said that we need God given people in our lives to become a person. There are different kinds of visionary relations from Heaven. The type that comes to our lives with decrees from the LORD to make are some of the most significant.
They play the role that Melchizedek played in the life of Abram. You need them to break barriers, start new seasons of life, get and stay married, start a business, plant a church, answer the call of God or accomplish one thing or the other in life. Jacob was one of such in the life of his children.
He made decrees of Patriarchal blessings on them, and the decrees went on to shape their lives powerfully. All He said went on to shape the lives and destinies of the 12 tribes that sprang from those 12 sons of his. Significant visionary relations are like that. They come to place blessing upon your life for the release of destiny!!!
They are graced with the grace to make Spirit enabled decrees with capacity to shape the destiny of those they are sent to. They operate as men with mandates, a particular mantle, or ranking in the Spirit.
YES, THEY CARRY THE ANOINTING TO PROSPER GOD’S MANTLES, MANDATES AND PEOPLE.
They can be very helpful in spiritual warfare. Their words, counsels and insights helps strengthen those who are fighting the battles of the LORD. Jonathan was a visionary relation from God in the life of David. You need such men in your life. The Bible says:
“Then Jonathan, Saul’s son, arose and went to David in the woods and strengthened his hand in God.
And he said to him, “Do not fear, for the hand of Saul my father shall not find you. You shall be king over Israel, and I shall be next to you. Even my father Saul knows that.” 1 Samuel 23:16-17 NKJV
That is how the Jonathan category of visionary relations operate. They may come as contemporaries, or colleagues. They say words that administer encouragement and edification, strengthen your faith or hand in the LORD and help get you to more advantageous places than where they occupy.
They are happy when they see you succeed, hence can fire you up into the fulfillment of God’s will for your life.
They are not like the elder brother of David who never encouraged him but spoke demoralizing words to him. They are not like Joseph’s brothers who wanted him dead. They are men and women who desire to see you at the top even if they will remain at the bottom cheering you up.
Another category of visionary relations from the LORD are like men who plant trees and faithfully water them knowing those trees will provide a shade for others and not for them. Samuel was such visionary relation to Saul and David respectively.
He prophesied them to the throne and watch them provide shade for Isreal, with one doing it faithfully and the other not being so faithful, but he never asked them for any favors or kingly privileges.
HE NEVER SAT UNDER THE SHADE THEY PROVIDED FOR ISRAEL, BUT HE STILL MADE SURE THEY SUCCEEDED.
He would still intercede for Saul despite his failures, and cover David in the Spirit, despite the risk that was involved. You need such men to succeed in life. You need a Samuel, a Melchizedek or a Jonathan, depending on what God wants to do with your life. When they come in like Samuel or Moses came into the lives of the nation of Isreal, they could speak words that reverse things said against you in the Spirit.
Our devotional text tells us how Moses functioned as that kind of visionary relation in the life of Reuben. The Bible says:
He was king over Jeshurun when the leaders of the people assembled, along with the tribes of Israel.
“Let Reuben live and not die, nor his people be few.” And this he said about Judah: “Hear, LORD, the cry of Judah; bring him to his people. With his own hands he defends his cause. Oh, be his help against his foes!” Deuteronomy 33:7 NKJV
Now, the best part for me in our devotional text this morning, is the part that says “Hear, LORD, the cry of Judah; bring him to his people…” In other words, “send visionary relations from Heaven to him.” Hallelujah! Visionary relations are relationships created by the LORD and tailored to His will, plans and purposes for your life. The Bible says:
“The righteous should choose his friends carefully, For the way of the wicked leads them astray.” Proverbs 12:26 NKJV
If you have a destiny to fulfill, be careful who you bring into your life. Samson, as we saw yesterday, was not careful about that hence opening the doors for a visionary relation from hell to enter his life. Visionary relations from hell are usually determined to be our friends, but their long-term agenda is usually evil.
IT IS THEIR DETERMINATION THAT MAKE US WEAK AND VULNERABLE TO THEM.
When they are determined, they focus on fulfilling our immediate desires or meeting our persistent wants. But visionary relations from Heaven are different; they do not focus on our wants but our needs, especially our destiny or eternal needs.
They can sense when we are departing from the ways and will of the LORD and roar at us until we return to the LORD. They make us uneasy when they appear sometimes like Samuel was to Saul, and like Elijah was to Israel.
If you are Saul, you will not like them because they will trouble you with God’s will, propel you to be accurate in your walk with Him, make sure you are disciplined and all that.
If you are Ahab, you will want them killed because they will not support any wickedness in your life or fertilize your affinity with any anti-destiny people. They will just focus on making sure you are on track with the LORD. If you are Abraham, you will like them because they will urge you to walk before God and be perfect. They will also be like what the three friends of Abraham were to him.
They will join forces with you to fight the battles of life and help you recover things that might have be stolen by the enemy. If you are a David, they will serve like Jonathan to you. Some will be like Samuel, Nathan or Gad to you.
As Samuel, they will anoint you with Holy Ghost dimensions to unleash your destiny. They will come as spiritual fathers or guides. As Nathan, they will come in as Heavenly influences to help you finish well, and as gad they will be with you during your wilderness experiences to make sure you get things right with the LORD.
None of them will be happy with you if you leave the ways of the LORD and become immoral with a Bathsheba or a Uriah figure in life. They will make sure you spend your days on the threshing floor until the breach is healed.
If you are in life circumstances that looks like the captivity of Israel under Pharaoh, like Moses, they will do things that will destroy the grip of Pharaoh over your life and change the circumstances; things that may sometimes, make the grip of Pharaoh very tough on you at first. You could hate them during that period but will come to sing their praise in the long run.
There is so much in scriptures about visionary relations from Heaven. We cannot uncover all of them here but what we must know is this, visionary relations from Heaven are sent to us according to our mantles, mandates and rankings in the Army of the LORD. They come to serve as helpers in the wars of life. Their destiny is only fulfilled when they help you to fulfill yours.
You will need them to become anything God may have called you to be. When we come back tomorrow, we will look at the kind of life to live to attract some relations in life.
LET THIS SCRIPTURE BE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY!
“Then some of the sons of Benjamin and Judah came to David at the stronghold.
And David went out to meet them, and answered and said to them, “If you have come peaceably to me to help me, my heart will be united with you; but if to betray me to my enemies, since there is no wrong in my hands, may the God of our fathers look and bring judgment.”
Then the Spirit came upon Amasai, chief of the captains, and he said: “We are yours, O David; We are on your side, O son of Jesse! Peace, peace to you, And peace to your helpers! For your God helps you.”
So David received them, and made them captains of the troop.” 1 Chronicles 12:16-18 NKJV
