TODAY’S DEVOTION (FRIDAY 13TH MARCH 2026)
Thus says the Lord: “Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’
Jeremiah 6:16 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 72ND DAY OF OUR YEAR OF STRATEGIC VICTORY
“LORD, show me the destiny pathways to my blessings. Show me eternal paths to walk in and arrive at your desired blessing for me!” This is the prayer to always say to the LORD in this terminal generation.
Are you troubled in your ministry, health, finances, family, spiritual or marital life? What area of your life is crying for rest having prayed, fasted, believe God, and done all you can? God is speaking to you this morning saying, “Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it, then you will find rest for your souls”
Now, the consequences of not doing that will be absence of rest.
There are three kinds of rest you will never find until you do that. The first is spiritual rest, where you walk in holiness, wholeness, and peace with God. The second is rest from the curses, perils and sorrows of the fallen earth, and the last and most essential is eternal rest with Christ.
To come into these rests, there are key words in that statement that are worthy of note. Two majors of the key words says, ask for old paths where the good way is and walk in it then you will find rest. Hallelujah!
Old paths are the divine ways that our Biblical fathers followed in their walk with God, the divinely crafted routes of life people like Enoch, Methuselah, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Israel, etc. followed. These are the ways to ask the LORD to show you, and you do that through personal Bible study most times.
The Christian life is full of divinely crafted routes. It is full of prophetic pathways and directions. They guide us in a sinful world and shows us how to make decisions and what to follow in life. They are the reason why true believers in Jesus Christ do not live the way the rest of the world lives.
They are the reasons why we should travel in opposite directions with the rest of the world. They are the reasons why we should not align with the ways of the dark world no matter what.
FOR INSTANCE, THEY ARE THE REASON WHY A TRUE BELIEVER WILL NOT JUST PICK ANYONE AND GET MARRIED TO.
They are the reasons a true believer in Christ will not get married the way the rest of the world does; be it traditionally, or socially. They are the reason a true believer will not make money the way the rest of the world do. They are the reason why what excites an average human does not do the same to a true believer in Christ.
In fact, they are the reason why those who truly believes in Jesus Christ and live for Him do not follow the celebrated and exalted among men. They are the reasons we forgive the unforgiveable, love the unlovable, show mercy to those the rest of the world might never show mercy to, treat people so well that the rest of the world call us stupid and foolish for.
They are the very reasons you find true followers of Jesus staying away from people, places and programs everyone runs to, no matter how lucrative they may be. They are the reasons why what is exalted among others is an abomination to the true believer in Christ.
Yes, they are the reasons we resign from high paying jobs to go serving the LORD in a remote area in what looks like lack and poverty but to us, a price paid to seek and to save that which was lost, a sacrifice for lost souls.
They are the reason why we will not end up in the same eternal destination with the rest of the world. Friend, Spiritual routes, paths, or directions leads to destinations! We will never find ourselves in the same destination as the world in our next life if we follow the spiritual paths crafted for us by the LORD and not live the way the rest of the world is living.
Now, these spiritual routes, paths and directions also have some benefits on this side of eternity.
THEY BRING US TO DESIRED DESTINATIONS OF THIS LIFE.
Your desired destination could be divine health, a God given and God made life partner, a financial raise, deliverance from satanic attacks, or even success in an area of life or ministry. God wants you to start asking Him for the path to take to get there.
Enough of just asking Him to do this or that!
Most things in God’s Kingdom only answer to walking in divinely crafted paths not just praying. Start asking Him for the paths to follow to get to your desired destination in the present life, then find a Bible teaching church and create time to study your Bible. Then the revelation will begin to come to you!!
Understand that divine paths are created by God’s footsteps, the footsteps found in how He led Bible men. When you take those footsteps and make them your pathways you will begin to find rest in any restive area of your life. God will begin to restore favor to your land – your life, family, ministry, or business. And that will happen from this day in Jesus precious name.

Yes, the Lord will give what is good; and our land will yield its increase. Righteousness will go before Him, and shall make His footsteps our pathway.
