THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (FRIDAY 3RD April 2026)

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11 TLB

WELCOME TO THE 93RD DAY OF OUR YEAR OF STRATEGIC VICTORY

Glory be to God for giving us another day. We slept and woke up because the LORD made it possible. It is easy to fall asleep sometimes, but if God does not wake one up, that will be the end of the person’s life on earth. So, we are grateful.

It is the first weekend of the 4th month of our year of Strategic victory. It is Good Friday for us in the Christian faith. Week in week out, we have seen God send out His marvelous helps and kindness. That is the kindness we are hoping to keep seeing even as we mark the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ and prepare for another week.

In today’s devotional we will go straight into the categories of plans that are ruling or ruining the earth through powerful influences on earth, like the electronic, print and social media, the entertainment industry, false religion, self-help programs, dark churches, and the programs of God on the face of the earth.

I pray that we get something out of it in Jesus precious name.

The plans that influence us on earth are the plans of God, the plans of man, and the plans of the evil one (the devil). There are times one knows which plans are influencing them, there are times one does not know. How our lives turns out tells us which plans we have been following because the fruit of a tree is what determines the kind of tree one got the fruit from.

The Bible sometimes calls plans “counsels”, and it says, “the counsel of God shall stand.” This talks about the immutability and durability of divine plans. Meaning other plans or counsels may manifest but will never stand the test of time. Only that of God will both manifest and stand the test of time.

If we want to leave a legacy that will stand the test of time or pursue goals that will not be turned into trash, we must live our days within the plans of God for our lives. If we want our marriages not to fail and pack up, they must be in divine plans and patterns. If we want our finances to grow and the blessing living longer than our needs or lives, we must get them established in God’s plans.

WHATEVER IS ROOTED OR ESTABLISHED IN GOD’S PLANS ENDURES FOREVER.

There is another angle to this; when the Bible says the counsel of the LORD shall stand, it is simply saying whatever is rooted in God’s plans cannot be destroyed by the evil one, evil people or our own personal mistakes. At worst it will take us out of the plans but cannot destroy the plans. Simply put, the plans will come to pass regardless.

It is a new month, and this is our 2026 Easter period, a period God’s plans for our redemption was executed through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, abolishing the eternal Judgment that sat on humanity. So, make up your mind to walk in divine plans, and nothing else. In them is our salvation, progress, prosperity, protection, deliverance and restoration. In them is our victory.

That is why when the devil attack us within God’s plans, he fails. So, take your life decisions this month based on God’s plans, and you will watch the worse force of hell collapse coming against you. Guide your heart to be synchronized with divine plans and no evil force will be able to defeat you on earth.

Jesus resurrected from dead after three days because He died according to the plans of the LORD. There were others who died that day, but never resurrected because they never died withing God’s plans. Whatever evil that befalls us within God’s plans cannot obliterate us. Its victory is usually temporal.

The decree of the LORD (that says the counsel of the LORD shall stand) has really saved us from being given to the will of our enemies. Glory to God! It has saved our lives from perishing by the sword of our sins, the sword of Satan and the sword of the system of this world.

Friend, there is no fortress that is stronger than the plans of God for our lives. That is why wise people get back to them each time their sins takes them away from them. They press into repentance.

Repentance has always thrust us back into God’s plans because the plans of God are the only ideal plans for us. That is one reason why you should always repent from sin, iniquity or trespass.

WHEN WE REPENT, WE GET BACK TO GOD’S PLANS FOR OUR LIVES.

So, if there is anything you did last month that was outside God’s plans, God wants you to repent of it and get back into His plans this month. Do not forget, God’s plans are the only plans on planet earth with a glorious future for any man, both in time and eternity, not even the plans of our parents or well-wishers.

Sadly, many are living according to the plans of men and the evil one for their lives. That is why they are in misery.

The question today is, according to which plans are you running your life? This question does not need a verbal answer, because all of us will say God’s plans. Our lives are the only voices that can tell the truth of which plan is ruling our lives. The state of a man’s life is usually the product of the kind of plan that is ruling or influencing his life.

From the original intent, we were not designed to survive by our plans for our lives. We were not designed to spend our days according the ‘glorious’ plans of the evil one he usually makes for his loyalist. We were designed to survive by God’s plans for our lives.

Your life can only move from glory to glory if you are living in the direction of God’s plans for it. The Bible says the paths of the just is like a shining light, that shines brighter and brighter unto a perfect day.

Understand that one of the major things that makes one fits the description of a just man or woman is his or her ability to spend his or her days according to God’s predetermined plans for his or her life.

Those who walk intimately with the Spirit of Jesus Christ on earth today, will tell you Christianity is not receiving power from God to succeed in your own plans. Any Christianity that is run that way is a Christianity controlled by the spirit of Babylon. It has nothing to do with Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit.

TRUE CHRISTIANITY IS SUBMITTING YOUR ENTIRE LIFE TO JESUS CHRIST AND HARMONIZING IT WITH HIS PLANS AND PURPOSES FOR IT.

And if you have not heard it before, I want to announce to you through this devotional that God has a plan for you. You must discover and harmonize your life with it. The rhythm your life will produce if you harmonize it with God’s plans is supernaturally pleasant.

Two words we can use to describe it are “peace” and “Prosperity.” Yes, because we live in an imperfect world there could be challenges, but the peace and the prosperity of God will always be available to deal with them. People who confine their lives to God’s plans for it are always shinning with the light of Heaven on earth.

No force on earth can conquer them because they are usually powered by the zeal of the LORD! They can never be tired of life because they are busy on the next will of God for their lives. They receive vigor and joy from a realm outside this world, that is why they operate in a joy and peace that does not make sense to the lost world most times.

Your security, prosperity, protection, significance, and bearing in life are buried in God’s plans for your life. Stepping into it is the only key to turning every good thing in your life on. Yes, if good things do not happen to you, friend, you are not under a curse you are just outside God’s perfect plans and programs for your life!

You will remain small and insignificant until you step into God’s plan for your life. What God has designed to be turned on in your life by stepping into His plan, cannot be turned on by praying, fasting, or sowing seeds, (as we call it today). When the bad and ugly are always happening to you, it is a sign that you are either outside God’s plan for your life or you are not following them accurately.

Stepping into God’s plan for your life remains the only solution to your entire problems. Our devotional text quoted God saying;
“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

God’s plans are the only plans with a future – a glorious future. When you step into them, they could look bleak and unpromising at the onset, but there will be a glorious ending.

MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR TODAY.

“The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nought; He makes the thoughts and plans of the peoples of no effect.”
“The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the thoughts of His heart through all generations.”

“Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He has chosen as His heritage.” Psalms 33:10-11 AMP
