TODAY’S DEVOTION (TUESDAY 28TH April 2026)
“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.”‘

WELCOME TO THE 118TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF STRATEGIC VICTORY
It’s been 118 days since we stepped into this glorious year of Strategic Victories. God has been faithful in protecting us from the angers of the lions; the attacks of the wolves, the bite and barking of the dogs, the vomit of the puppies, the venom of brood of vipers Jesus had a bitter time within His days, and a lot more.
He saved us from all these because He had bitter time with them too when He was physically here and know how evil they can be.
He is our Father and friend, one who does not allow us to be subjected to things that are beyond us. The Bible says as a father pities his children, so this LORD, Our LORD Jesus Christ, pities us.
He knows that we are dust, and that we are vulnerable to sin, the works of Satan, and the corruption of this world. The Bible further says, we do not have a High Priest who cannot be touched by the feelings of our infirmities but was in all points tempted yet without sin. He can help us because He can be touched with the feelings of our infirmities. Hallelujah!!
We can say with David this morning “if it had not been the Lord who was on our side, when men rose up against us, then they would have swallowed us alive, when their wrath was kindled against us; then the waters would have overwhelmed us,” (Psalms 124:2-4 NKJV).
The best life to live in a wicked and perverse generation is the life of always setting the LORD before you. When you set the LORD before you, He will always be at your right hand. David said He was always at his right hand, that was why he prevailed, even against the giants of his life and ministry.
Our right hand represents our natural strength or weakness. It also represents the place of our natural power and authority. To have the LORD at our right hand is to rely on His supernatural strength, power and authority not on our own.
THAT CAN ONLY HAPPEN THROUGH SUBMISSION.
Yes, if we submit to His will, ways and voice we will always see Him at our right hand – we will move in His strength, power and authority. We will see ourselves sitting at His right hand and having our enemies made our foot stool. If the enemy becomes your foot stool, he will lose his power over your life.
His attacks will be met with divine interventions from the LORD, and there will be no time when he will be able to rejoice over you.
God does not want His children going for deliverance every now and then. It is the heathen and carnal believers that go for deliverance every now and then because demons are always on their case. God’s children by divine plan are designed to enjoy rest from the works of the devil. Jesus said:
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
Matthew 11:28-30 NKJV
Has this scripture been fulfilled in your life as a Christian? Do you now have rest from demonic attacks, generational curses, evil foundations, evil spirits, what they call evil patterns, demons they erroneously Christian as spirit husbands and wives, curses in blood line and all works of the evil one? If the answer is no, then you need to wake up.
Jesus promised us rest not relief, but many preachers are giving people relieve and the people themselves do not know that. So many are restless, they are yet to come into the rest Jesus promised His own. Yet, we all claim to be His own. If you are His own and have not come into His rest, then someone has cheated on you spiritually or you have cheated on yourself. The Bible says:
“Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.” Colossians 2:8NKJV
We are the ones to watch over ourselves not to be cheated, not God. Yes, we are the ones to make sure that no one cheat us using some teachings, and things they call mysteries and all that. We are the ones to make sure that no one cheats us through the tradition of men, especially the witch doctor’s tradition of deliverance which is the raising of altars, the breaking of altars or the silencing of altars, etc. or going to mountains to pray.
IF WE ARE CHEATED, WE WILL NOT SEE THE SIMPLE PROMISES OF THE LORD MANIFESTING IN OUR LIVES.
I ask again, has the Mattew 11:28-30 Promise of Jesus come to pass in your life, or you have let some prophets and apostles cheat on you spiritually by making you believe things that have cut you off from this rest?
Do you still go for deliverance before you can sleep, have rest from curses, have some rest in your body, see some progress in your life, or the beautiful things are happening without you going for deliverance anywhere?
If you come into the rest that Jesus promised, you will be progressing in life without going for deliverance because that rest keeps the devils and all they do away from your life.
There are people who do not know this scripture exists in the Church today, sadly so. If they know they will realize how they are being short changed through the deliverance scam. They will ask their apostles, prophets etc. for the rest Jesus promised us. They will not accept or settle in the program of restlessness we see many going through in different churches in the name of deliverance.
The program of restlessness is the system of going for deliverance either every week, month, year or at fixed times determined by the prophet, apostle, prayer warrior, or church. It involves, feet washing, altar raising, breaking or silencing, incessant fasting and prayers for deliverance, sometimes going to mountains and valleys, and other anti-God’s Grace things.
But that is not God’s plan for your life. That is why it has no permanent solution. The program was created by anointed preachers, not the Anointed One (Jesus) Himself.
Do not forget, you can use the anointing from God to do what you like with it, that is why many will be judged how they used God’s anointed upon their lives. So, these anointed preachers used their anointing to create this program of restlessness in church, and many love it because they have not been taught the rest Jesus promised.
There are churches God has raised to bring you into rest. Your job is to find them and stick to them, even if you can only reach them online. It is better to sit under such ministries than attend in person in a Church that will plug you into the program of restlessness they call deliverance process, simply because you feel you need fellowship.
Our devotional text this morning says, “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” I believe you have ears and you have heard what the Spirit is saying to you this morning!! Spread this word to others. Amen!!
