TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL (Monday 15th June 2026)
“Defend the poor and fatherless; do justice to the afflicted and needy. Deliver the poor and needy; free them from the hand of the wicked.”
“They do not know, nor do they understand; they walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are unstable.”
“I said, “You are gods, and all of you are children of the Most High. But you shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.” Psalms 82:3-7 NKJV

WELCOME TO THE 166TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF STRATEGIC VICTORIES!
We bless the LORD of heaven and earth for keeping us alive and granting us mercy to see another day. He has been our king, our Savior and our all in all. There is nothing worth celebrating in our lives that cannot be traceable to His kindness towards us.
To Him who was, who is, and who is to come belong the glory. Amen and amen.
The greatest destruction of humanity usually comes from being in the dark. For instance, the Corona Virus that killed people almost 6 years ago, and the Ebola that is doing the same now are two evils that caught up with humanity because humanity is in the dark.
The Kingdom of darkness is profiting from the development, and it will be preferable that people remain in the dark. Is it not unfortunate that people simply love seeing others dying? It is incredibly sad for our world! That is why being in the dark about something important is one thing that should never happen to any human on the face of the earth.
God is light and does not want people being in the dark about anything. That is why the more we spend time with His word, the more we become enlightened. The more we walk out of any form of darkness. His kingdom is called the kingdom of light. That is the kingdom we were born in, and that is why we are Sons of light; sons of the Day. The Bible says;
“giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.
He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.” Colossians 1:12-14 NKJV
No one in Christ is in darkness because God is light; in Him is no darkness at all. But everyone outside Christ is in darkness. Yes, even those who are in church but outside Christ are in darkness that is why you see even church people or those described as Christians destroyed along with the people of this world.
Sadly, men love darkness and will never come to the light so that their deeds will not be revealed, and the devils that lives in the darkness they love feeds on them. That is why we see all kinds of death and destruction.
IF WE LOVE LIGHT, THE LIGHT THAT GOD IS, OUR LIVES WILL BE FILLED WITH THE BLESSINGS IN THAT LIGHT.
The light that God is, comes to us through the teaching of His word, encounters with His Holy Spirit, fellowshipping with the revelation of who Jesus is, in the Holy Scriptures, and participating privately or corporately with other believers in word-based prayers. Yes, the light come to us when we belong to a church that makes people disciples of Christ and live in the word and the Spirit that births the word in men’s hearts.
These are the spiritual forces that prevents us from being in the dark.
To be in the dark means to be ignorant of something or to be in a state of not being aware of something. The Bible says man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. If we live by what proceeds out of the mouth of the LORD, we will never be in the dark.
It is important to note that the greatest killer of ignorance and the worst enemy of people who keep others in the dark is what proceeds from the mouth of GOD. God lives and He speaks! When He speaks, we are enlightened and cannot be in the dark after He has spoken. He speaks in light so that whatever is in the dark can be exposed and destroyed.
God is always speaking because darkness is always rising upon people. The Bible says,
“For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people;
But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.” Isaiah 60:2-3 NKJV
As darkness cover the earth, and deep darkness the people, more people will be in the dark on many things. But those God is speaking to, and His Spirit teaching, will never be in the dark.
The word of the LORD this morning is walk in light, let God give you light. If you do not, you will die like mere men even after salvation has made you a god that worships the Almighty God.
A major part of our devotional text says;
“I said, “You are gods, and all of you are children of the Most High. But you shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.”
If God calls us gods and we do not feed on His light, we will never be what He called us to be, and if we are not what He calls us to be, the scripture says we will die like mere men. In other words, we will be in the dark and the death (spiritual, eternal and natural) that lives in the dark, will take us out. That is the word of the LORD to us this morning.
Feed on the word of the LORD, open your mind to scriptural light. Stop listening to your feelings and hurts. Listen to the word of the LORD. Stop listening to what your mind tells you and start looking for what the mind of the LORD in the Holy Scripture is saying concerning the issues of your life.
Learn to hear the word of the LORD daily by reading the Bible so His Spirit can instruct you on the way to go. Let your feelings no longer instruct you, and all will be well with you. Amen
MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE BE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY;
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with my eye. Do not be like the horse or like the mule, which have no understanding, which must be harnessed with bit and bridle, else they will not come near you.” Psalms 32:8-9 NKJV
