TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL (FRIDAY 24TH July 2026)
Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him.
And the LORD said to Satan, “The LORD rebuke you, Satan! The LORD who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?”
Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and was standing before the Angel.
Then He answered and spoke to those who stood before Him, saying, “Take away the filthy garments from him.” And to him He said, “See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you with rich robes.” Zechariah 3:1-4 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 205TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF STRATEGIC VICTORIES!
We will not cease from giving God the glory for counting us worthy to be alive and well. Personally, I do not deserve it. But his mercies made it possible. I do not know about you. If we are sincere with ourselves, we will all discover that none of us deserve to be alive even.
If the LORD should mark iniquities, or hold us accountable for our wrong doings, we will not be alive.
Indeed, “Blessed is the man, to whom the Lord reckoned not sin.” In other words, blessed is the man who the LORD does not hold accountable for their sins. That is why we must learn to send our appeals to His court whenever the court of public opinion, controlled by the gods of this age, or the courts of devils and governments pass evil sentences against us.
There is a difference between evil sentences and sentences against evil works. Both are not the same. In the courts of our God, evil sentences are revoked. You see that in the life of the woman that was caught in adultery. But sentence against the evil works of Satan and his agents (that make us commit sins against our God) are passed.
Yes, they are passed standing on our cry for help and our repentance. That is why His court is our only hope. His court is called the court of the Judge of all. It is stronger that the supreme court of any nation because He is the judge of the judges that sits in any courts. He is the sovereign and overrules the verdicts of any other court, once He sees repentance or hears our cry for mercy.
FRIEND THERE IS A THOUSAND AND ONE REASONS WHY HIS COURT IS WHERE TO SEND OUR APPEALS TO.
The first is, in His court, He would not deal with us according to our sins, but according to His faithfulness and mercy, especially if we are willing to repent and renounce the sins. Another reason is, He is the Only Judge who truthfully speaks of the terrible consequences of our sins in love, passes His verdicts on them, but bears the consequences of those sins, by holding Himself accountable for what He convicts us of, and then saying, “neither do I condemn you, go and see no more.”
It is called redeeming love or amazing grace!! He is the only judge that sits in His court with a redeeming love or an amazing grace, waiting to be activated for those who send their appeals to His court. Hallelujah!!!
He is the Judge that does not send those he convict to prisons, He rather sends them to His cross, to experience the power thereof, and to have their sinful lives transformed into the life of His righteous life by the power of His Holy Spirit.
He remains the only Judge that can take away the judgment of a convicted sinner that cries for mercy, then clean up the person, and then clothe him or her with garments of righteousness. Our devotional text teaches us what happens in His court. The Bible says:
How can you not send your appeals to the judge of this kind of a court? How can you not send your appeal to the only Judge who will first rebuke the enemy for taking advantage of our sins to hurt or harm us, before turning to us to correct or chasten us, so that we might be cleansed and made whole?
HOW CAN YOU NOT TAKE YOUR APPEAL TO THE JUDGE WHO LEAVES A BLESSING BEHIND AFTER CANCELLING ANY VERDICT PASSED UPON OUR LIVES?
Our sins has a way of creating legal rights for the enemy to oppress us in the spirit. But Our God is the only Judge who can deliver us from all that. He is the only judge who can rebuke the enemy for standing on such legal rights to oppressed us and replace the enemy’s filthy garments with His rich robes.
If you look at what the LORD, the judge of all said to the enemy in our devotional text, you will see that the enemy’s verdict on Joshua was overturned in moments, because of a cry for mercy. The filthy garments that legalized his oppression was taken away from him.
That is what happens in the court of the judge of all. That is why we should not fail to appeal any verdict of the enemy against us in that court.
One thing the enemy does to prevent us from appealing to the court of the judge of all is to lie to us that He has already condemned us. How can you be condemned without appealing to Him? Anyway, even if His word condemns us, an appeal in repentance is all that is needed to overturn the condemnation.
In His court, whosoever covers his sins shall not prosper, but whosoever confesses and forsakes them shall have mercy. That is why we have hope!!
The Bible clearly said that this judge was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement needful for us to obtain peace and well-being in a wicked world like ours, was upon Him, and that by His stripes we were healed. That is why we cannot be condemned in His court. We can only be acquitted and justified by His blood.
Child of God always learn to send your appeals to His court no matter what happens, and things will be fine. You will become a happy one that the LORD does not reckon any sin; one in whom there is no deceit in his spirit. Amen
LET THIS SCRIPTURE BE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY!!
“Blessed is the man, to whom the Lord reckoned not sin; neither guile is in his spirit. (Happy is the person, to whom the Lord did not reckon any sin; and there is no deceit in his spirit.)
For I was still, my bones waxed old; while I cried all day. (For when I kept silent/For when I did not confess my sins, my bones grew old; while I cried all day long.)” Psalm 32:3-4 WYC
