TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL (MONDAY 27TH July 2026)
Then to Adam He said, “Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat of it’:
“Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil you shall eat of it All the days of your life. Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you, And you shall eat the herb of the field. In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread Till you return to the ground, For out of it you were taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall return.” Genesis 3:17-19 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 208TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF STRATEGIC VICTORIES!
This is the day the LORD has made, we shall rejoice and be glad in it. The Heavens declare His glory; the skies proclaim the works of His hands. Until you fly 30,000 to 40,000 feet above sea level you will never understand the last part of this scripture that I just quoted.
That is the height that will show you how the skies proclaim God’s glory. The beautiful cascade of the skies is very attractive. At some point you will feel like flying like an eagle in those skies to touch the beautiful clouds, and if you have ever seen the clouds of God’s glory in a vision, the view will be very familiar because that is how it looks like at some point.
Creation is indeed beautiful and it speaks. It speaks of the existence of a creator bigger than creation, because it takes someone bigger than all that has been created to create what has been created.
While very respected scientist are there doubting if a God exist, and abscribing creation to some evolution theory, a little child out there with the Bible in his hands knows better; he or she knows exactly who created the world. If you try to find truth outside the Truth Himself, you will always come out with lies and misconceptions the Bible describe as errors.
That is the curse that sits on anyone trying to find how Creation came to be outside the Truth Himself. Many of these respectable scientist and professors are well educated but they still do not know that truth is not just a selection of facts but a person, and that person is Jesus Christ, the One that creation came to be by the power of His word. The Bible says,
“For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.” Colossians 1:16-17 NKJV
THIS SCRIPTURE CONTAINS WHAT EVOLUTION THEORISTS DO NOT KNOW.
If they had looked at it, they would have saved the themselves the time and their donors the money spent to prove the theory. When you make a lie a theory, you lead generations astray. So many young and intelligent minds have been led astray with some dying Godless and ending in hell.
There is a lot of deception in the Ivory towers of many nations, so many young minds have been trapped and led astray and are in eternal danger. Being led astray has become a big business these days. The Bible prophesied that it would happen, and we are right in the season. That is why the preaching of apostolic truths, though fought by many and attacked in all directions, remains the way of escape for us.
Talking about being led astray, it is important to acknowledge that being led astray is a curse that humanity have been battling with before time began. It has been the mother of all curses, crises, evil, deaths, wars, bloodshed, economic hardship, bad governments and all forms of eternal damnation.
Politicians have led us astray due to greed and wicked intentions. Devils have led millions astray resulting in terrorism and religious killings. The most important reason for preaching the gospel is to rescue people who have been led astray. Sadly, the enemy has preachers among us who are sabotaging this effort of God by preaching things that still lead people astray.
Friend, leading humanity astray has become the biggest business of the kingdom of darkness. It all started in the garden of Eden. You must watch against this business of the evil one so that it will not engulf your life. The greatest forces that are leading people astray today are the voices they heed to, the inner voices that influence their lives.
OUR INNER VOICES SHAPES OUR LIVES AND ARE THEMSELVES SHAPED BY WHAT WE HEAR WITH OUR EARS AND SEE WITH OUR EYES.
The voice (or voices) you hear is shaping your thought-life and determining your destiny. As a child of God, you must understand that it is not what you pray that change your life, but the voice you heed to. If you have intimacy with God, but the voice that influence your heart strongly is not God, that intimacy with God will result in nothing in your life.
It will just be a form of godliness without power, because it will not be responsible for your decisions, actions and all that you do. That is how people live and die in church with nothing beautiful to show. They go to church faithfully, but what influences them and their behavior does not come from the Church. If this is the state of your Christian life, you will never come into the full blessing of being a Christian in this life or the life to come.
You will be tired of church and disappear one day, and maybe join the deluded breed that says, “we left Church but did not leave God.” In our devotional text we can see how Adam moved from the blessing of living in Eden to the curse because of the voice he followed. The text says:

This scripture teaches us how one can move from blessings to curses because of the voice that has been shaping his or her thought-life and determining his or her actions. But superstitious people do not know these. They blame all the evil that happen to them on some devils, altars, curses, or rituals done by grandparents or great-grandparents that are long dead etc.
Our devotional text made it clear that Adam did not loose the great blessings of God upon His life because he was not prayerful, or intimate with God. He did not lose the blessing of living in Eden because of moral failure. He did not loose it because he lied, cheated, or lived his life outside God’s presence.
He lost it “because he heeded the voice of his wife, over the voice of the LORD he had been following for an eternal time before the woman was formed. He heeded it and ate from the tree of which God commanded him, saying, ‘You shall not eat of it.’
In conclusion, understand that whatever controls your thought-life, controls your actions. It is that influence that is controlling your actions that is determining what is happening in your life. Do not be too superstitious to accept this life truth. The plague of being in the presence of the LORD but having your thoughts influence by what does not come from God’s presence is everywhere today, destroying so many lives and making their church attendance useless. Avoid it. That is the message!!

“Oh, that My people would listen to Me, That Israel would walk in My ways! I would soon subdue their enemies, And turn My hand against their adversaries.
The haters of the Lord would pretend submission to Him, But their fate would endure forever. He would have fed them also with the finest of wheat; And with honey from the rock I would have satisfied you.” Psalm 81:13-16 NKJV
