TODAY’S DEVOTION (Monday 9th December 2019)
“And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.”
“Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren.”
“For with God nothing will be impossible.” Luke 1:35-37 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 343rd DAY OF OUR YEAR OF GOING FORWARD.
It was just like “yesterday” that we started the year 2019. And now we are seeing the end of the year. To God be the glory. Though the year brought so much upon us that would have made it a bad year but Jesus did so much that made it one of the greatest year of our lives. Am speaking for myself and those the LORD has given me.
I believe strongly that there have been a lot of spiritual pregnancies this year. And those who will obey the call to be deeply intimate with Jesus will see God in dimensions that they have never seen before in the coming year.
Deep intimacy is a glorious life to live in the coming year. It will keep spiritual fires burning, persistent sinful habits out, incurable diseases away, financial struggles out. It will place us in the plane of GOD’s regular intervention. Of a truth, like our devotional text today says, “with God nothing shall be impossible.” It is without God that things are impossible. But we can only experience Him that way in the deeper places of the Spirit.
Come to think of it, nothing is possible without GOD.
I have come to realize that prayer and fasting without God will not be able to crack the impossible. In fact, prayer without God is simply incantation and fasting without God is hunger strike. Ministry without GOD is a misery and Church without God will leave people in the spiritual chains of their enemies or set them free using demonic powers only for them to be captured again.
THE WORST THING ON EARTH IS CHURCH WITHOUT GOD.
The demonic will go home with people in a Church service full anything but the true GOD. People will be moving from sin to sin and from abomination to abomination. There will be no eternal life-giving encounters or widespread revelation. The flame of the Holy Spirit will be absent leaving religious hysteria behind.
When church service is full of a religion mixed with some inspirational sermons but no God, it will be a stench in the lives of those who are alive in Spirit. And when they want to leave, the dead Pastors or Bishops in charge will threaten to curse them. Only the fearful remain in such places, and only the dead enjoy them.
Friend, Church without God is very dangerous. It leaves the afflicted with promissory notes of deliverance with no manifestations. The now of GOD where miracles take place will be absent completely. Every problem the people may be going through will be explained away, or blamed on them, someone or something.
Church without God will lack miracles, signs and wonders. Theologies will be adjusted to accept the tragedy! The Bible says “with God nothing shall be impossible.”
If all of us who claim born again are really walking with God, then there will be no impossibilities in our lives. We will be operating in the realm of God’s boundless impossibilities, seeing every problem as an opportunity to prove to the world that God is alive.
With God miracles will flow to heal the sick, souls will be genuinely saved and transformed, God’s power will be present to terminate sinful habits, take away satanic yokes, lift up demonic burdens, create new body parts, give Children to barren wombs and do the impossible! But without God nothing of such will happen.
Without God pastors will become under takers; there will be no more true revival services.
IN FACT, FUNERAL SERVICES WILL TAKE OVER THE PLACE OF REVIVAL SERVICES.
No! It is dangerous to have Church without God. It enthrones the devil over our lives and allows him to do his job of killing, stealing, and destroying.
I think time has come for the body of Christ to shake ourselves from all forms of lies and hypocrisy and seek God. That is why Heaven is calling us to become deeply intimate with Jesus Christ. That is the only way we can terminate the spiritual plague of having “Church without God.”
Church without God will produce Christianity without God. Christianity without God will be a form of godliness with no miracle working power. It will be full of mountains that prayer or fasting cannot level.
The day it becomes clear to us that the reason the Devil is happening in so many Churches instead of God, is because God no longer exist in such places, we will run out of those Churches the way a man runs out of a burning house. Friend, the presence of a man of God with huge titles or much money does not translate into the presence of God.
Sadly, many take the presence of famed preachers to be the presence of God. That is why they even go to their hotel rooms to roll over after such men have checked out. It’s sad how far we have fallen from grace.
But let’s draw one lesson from how Children are conceived.
We all know that it takes deep intimacy between a fruitful man and a woman to conceive. Children are not conceived by kissing. That is shallow intimacy. They are conceived through deep intimacy that gets the man into the woman. In the same one, the presence of God that need to be with us to make the impossible possible is not conceived in us when we operate at the kissing level with God.
There is a kissing level of relationship with GOD. It does not result in anything Heavenly in our lives. What is the kissing level? You may ask. The Bible describes it as running after God only when things are bad and running away from Him when they are good.
MANY PEOPLE SEEK GOD ONLY WHEN THINGS ARE NOT OKAY WITH THEM.
That may give you a onetime miracle but will never birth the presence of God you need to operate in a realm where nothing is impossible.
For you to come into the “nothing shall be impossible” realm of the Spirit, God must enter you until you conceive in the spirit. It begins with an impartation of the Holy Spirit, but it goes far beyond that. God must super impose Himself in you until your visage changes in the Spirit the way the visage of a woman changes after getting pregnant to bring you to that realm.
That was what happened to Mary. It was through deep intimacy that she conceived Jesus immaculately. The process was the same process that took place in the upper room and turned the disciples of Jesus Christ into miracle working, hell shaking, and souls saving apostle of Jesus Christ.
Another major highlight in our devotional today says;
“The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.”
When the Holy Spirit comes upon you and the power of Highest overshadows you, God has super imposed Himself on you. If you allow Him to find a resting place and remain in you over time, He will bring you to the “nothing shall be impossible” realm of the Spirit. That is when you will begin to walk in the miraculous.
As we bring this devotional to a close, I want you to understand that, the highest level of deep intimacy is the coming of the Holy Ghost upon us until the power of the Highest overshadows us. If He comes and we do not allow Him to rest upon us until the power of the highest overshadow us, we will only be “touched” but not “changed.”
Deep intimacy is the way to go this end times. We are to go deep with God until the power of the highest overshadows us. You won’t fail in Jesus precious name!
