TODAY’S DEVOTION (Tuesday 28th April 2020)
“Is this not the fast that I have chosen: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke? Isaiah 58:6NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 118th DAY OF OUR YEAR OF REJOICING
We have been sharing about divine wisdom on this platform.
The fall of man did a lot of damage to our wisdom level. It rendered every one of us slaves and derailed our God given ability to operate at a wisdom level that is out of this world. If was that wisdom level that Adam used in giving names to the animals – aquatics and terrestrials inclusive.
Sometimes I wonder how this great man did all he did with the LORD God before we left the garden of Eden. If it were possible to travel back in time into that realm, by the Spirit of GOD to see exactly how it was, it will be great. I saw a man who GOD took to Genesis chapter 2, by His Spirit, to see in vivid visions what happened then. I guess those are the things God asked us to desire; they are called the riches of His glory.
Friend, they are Higher levels of Spiritual communication that can cause the Bible to come alive beyond one’s imagination.
The SUPER BOOK cartons are some of the best things I love watching on TV. They give me an idea of this higher levels of scriptural encounters that can illuminate our spirits and make our minds highly inflammable in Higher levels of wisdom – the Daniel type of wisdom that sees through every dark thing and dissolve every mystery.
The queen of the last kingdom of Babylon, said this to her husband about Daniel;
“There is a man in thy kingdom, in whom is the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of thy father light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, was found in him; whom the king Nebuchadnezzar thy father, the king, I say, thy father, made master of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers;
For as much as an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of dreams, and shewing of hard sentences, and dissolving of doubts, were found in the same Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar: now let Daniel be called, and he will shew the interpretation.” Daniel 5:11-12 KJV
If you look at the spiritual profile of Daniel, you will realize that the multiple encounters with angelic beings, the ancient of days Himself and other riches in GOD’s glory he touched transformed his mental faculties and dwarfed all the sorceress and wizards on the kings cabinet.
DANIEL OPERATED AT A WISDOM LEVEL THAT DEVILS WERE HUMILIATED IN HIS PRESENCE. WE ARE THE NEXT ON GOD’S LIST!
If it was possible with Daniel before the cross, it can be possible in our days. It only requires that the price be paid. One of the prices is the price of harmonizing our lives with sound doctrine. There is so much perverse teachings and practices in the faith today that are hindering this dimension of GOD in the lives of so many in our local churches, so much falsehood to contend with.
However, when we harmonized with sound doctrine, this enormous falsehood will be neutralized, paving way for the arm of the LORD to bring us to the realm of sound wisdom.
Now, it takes sound wisdom to have a sound Christian Life.
It takes sound wisdom to have a sound marriage. It takes sound wisdom to have a sound ministry. It takes sound wisdom to have a strong personal economy. It takes sound wisdom from God to live in sound Health.
Everything that is sound in life is a product of sound wisdom from Heaven. That is why God made the month of April our month of Heavenly wisdom. I guess the devotionals of this month have been a blessing to you!
As we wrap up the month, God still want to further stir our spirits on how to access and operate in divine wisdom. We have been looking at that most of the days of this month and relevant keys have been downloaded into our spirits by the LORD. From being genuinely born again, to living a holy life, receiving the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, making the Bible your best book, and listening to sound doctrine.
Your life will never be sound if you have no respect for sound doctrine. A sound life is a blessed life, it is a life full of all of God and none of the evil one. Sadly, many are looking for this kind of life but are going about it the wrong way.
Some of the wrong ways includes oil drinking and baptism, use of salt in prayer, using of stereotyped prayer books, water, or etc. in prayer, sowing seeds, fasting and praying without scriptural revelation, carrying prophets to villages to uproot things and all kinds of deliverance inventions.
A SOUND OR BLESSED LIFE DO NOT COME THAT WAY.
All such practices are rooted in perverse teachings, doctrines of devils and false or polluted prophetic anointing. Now, a false prophetic anointing is different from a polluted prophetic anointing. A prophetic anointing may be true but polluted. It is such anointing that Jesus said can deceive, if possible, even the elect because it is difficult to recognize as not of GOD.
A polluted prophetic anointing has Jesus elements in it and some form of Heavenly presence, that is why it can trap even the elect. But a false one does not have any of that but just counterfeits. If what you are building your Christian faith on is either polluted, false, or man-made, your life will never be sound. You will be going from one crisis to another.
To live a sound Life, you must operate in sound wisdom. To operate in sound wisdom, you need sound doctrine. That is one of the secrets of the journey! That brings us to the next key to use in operating in sound wisdom, that key is Biblical fasting. Not just any fasting, but Biblical fasting.
Sadly, most of the fasting people do today are not Biblical. That is why it does not unlock Heavenly wisdom. It takes Biblical fasting to step into certain Blessings in Christ, one of it is the blessing of Heavenly Wisdom – a Heavenly wisdom that is accompanied with power from on High.
That is why you will never find anyone walking in the genuine power of God who is not a fasting machine. They just must spend their days putting the flesh under subjection so that the Spirit can take control of their lives.
I have come to discover that great blessings in the Kingdom come upon us as a fire for the sacrifices we offer under God. Sadly, many have used this principle to con so many people in Church of their hard-earned money, but this Biblical principle was not originally given to be a money-making tool in the hands of irresponsible shepherds.
Biblical Fasting is a sacrifice, and the fire God usually send on it is power, wisdom, favor, or any other blessing a man sought God in fasting for. The Bible is full of proofs of what I just stated.
YOU WILL NEVER COME INTO ANYTHING SIGNIFICANT IN GOD WITHOUT EFFECTIVE BIBLICAL FASTING – NOT RELIGIOUS FASTING!
Esther sought God for favor through fasting, and it came! Daniel sought wisdom through intense fasting, and God sent the fire on him – the fire of both wisdom and prophetic powers to see the consummation calendar of God for the human race.
Stephen was full of wisdom and power in his short Christian life on earth. Obviously, a life of Biblical fasting unlocked that for him. Child of God, biblical Fasting is not a religious exercise but a kingdom tool for accessing unbelievable things in God’s kingdom. If you do not read the Bible and see the Bible way of getting things from God through fasting, divine wisdom and other things Biblical fasting brings will always elude you.
I have never seen a man who operated divine wisdom who did not engage regularly in Biblical fasting. Even Jesus fasted almost daily. He was so tuned to a life of Biblical fasting that His disciples could not tell when He was hungry and when He needed food.
One day they thought He was hungry and went to buy some food, but before they returned, they saw Him reaping souls into the kingdom. Then they asked Him to eat, but He said, “my food is to do the will of He that sent me and to finish His work.” That was one way He showed us how to live the Heavenly Kingdom Life on earth.
Biblical fasting is part of “God’s will” for our lives.
If you do not live a life of Biblical fasting, you will have your mind fastened to the spirit of foolishness. Jesus said men always ought to pray and not to faint. And I will add that men always ought to fast and not to faint. If we do not fast, we cannot live the supernatural life in a natural world.
BIBLICAL FASTING GIVES STRENGTH TO YOUR HUMAN SPIRIT TO CONNECT THINGS DIVINE.
It destroys the power of sin in your mortal body, eliminates the influence of Satan over your life, and has the power to open great doors of blessings in the Spirit realm for you.
If you want to see blessings pursue you, pursue God through Biblical fasting. If you want to see divine wisdom illuminating you, spend time fasting and feasting on the word of God. Men who do not fast will be fastened to the problems of life by their enemies.
Sadly, as earlier stated, many fast but do not engage in Biblical fasting.
There is a difference between the fasting many of us do today and the one the Bible characters did. That is why we are not getting their kind of results. People have fasted for 70 days in our generation and came out with little or nothing to show. Their lives are still miserable and weak. Satan and demons still feed on them.
If you want to see the power of Biblical fasting, ask Mordechai and Queen Esther. They and the entire Israel fasted just for three days and the world is yet to recover from what came out of it. They had both an immediate response from God and a future response. The immediate response was God transferring the wealth of their enemies to them and giving them PEACE IN A FOREIGN LAND.
Biblical fasting is not a religious fasting. It is a Holy Spirit and righteous passion led fasting. It is a fasting that the Holy Ghost pushes you into by birthing a righteous passion within you or illuminating your spirit with things to press into by scriptural revelation.
Our devotional text said “”Is this not the fast that I have chosen”.
So, Biblical fasting is a fast God chooses for you. Not the one Church chooses for you. Not even the one a prophet or pastor who is just interested in making money out of you choose for you. I call all this types Hunger Strikes or religious prison sentences.
You will meet a pastor or prophet for prayer, and the next thing he or she will do is to sentence you to 7 days fasting or 21 days, depending on what you are going through; with some money to give at the end. This may look proper to a shallow mind but it is not Biblical fasting. That is perverted fasting. Anything that is not of faith is sin!
Biblical fasting is a demonstration of faith in God that is simply a response to the drive of the Holy Spirit. The Bible says Jesus was driven by the Holy Spirit to the wilderness to fast. And He returned with power from on high. You what is driving you to fast? If the Holy Spirit is not the one driving you to fast, you will come out with nothing.
It is time to start seeking the LORD for that Blessings or outpouring of the Holy Spirit you have been desiring through Biblical Fasting.
Always remember that great moves of God that changed world history were birth on the prayer knee powered by Biblical Fasting. If we are therefore looking for great moves of God in our life, family or City and we go about eating, we are sitting on the sit of mockers in the spirit realm and will never see or experience it.
MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY
Then Esther told them to reply to Mordecai: “Go, gather all the Jews who are present in [c]Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!”
So Mordecai went his way and did according to all that Esther commanded [d]him. Esther 4:15-17 NKJV
