TODAY’S DEVOTION (Saturday 22ND August 2020)
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.”
For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.” James 1:5-8 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 233RD DAY OF OUR YEAR OF REJOICING
Moving in the supernatural in the kingdom of God is not the heritage of men of God, but the heritage of the people of God.
That was one of the major flows of day 21st day of our 50 days wings of the Spirit that came to us yesterday. It is my prayer that we all come to the full realization that we are no longer in the days of powerful men of God. We are now in days of powerful people of God.
The earth is waiting for your manifestation as a Son of GOD. The earth is not waiting for the manifestation men of GOD. It us waiting for the manifestation of Sons of GOD. Will you satisfy the hunger of the earth? Will you allow the earth to experience your manifestation as a Son of GOD?
If the answer is yes, then wisdom and power will be required. Some of which is being taught in our ongoing school of deep things on Television. But today we want to share something different that if applied will bring us to the same result.
We want to look at what the book of James said about wisdom!
Obviously, the wisdom of men and that of demons, as revealed in the book of James, has been the reason for the woes of humanity. Wherever you see people coming under the yoke of their enemies, you have seen people walking in either the wisdom of men or that of demons.
For instance, humanism is the common of way of solving problems without involving God. Come to think of it, without involving God? The thought of that alone is crazy. Mankind was created to depend Heavily on GOD. But here are finite minds telling us, telling us to solve our problems without involving GOD. That is human wisdom for you.
The consequence of the wisdom of men is terrible. One of it is, it has made the world Godless, and enthroned men where God ought to be enthroned. It has removed the God factor completely from the hearts of so many.
THAT IS WHY WE HAVE ATHEIST ON PLANET EARTH.
For God sake, why will a human being look at a vast planet like ours and conclude that there is no God? It is empty, but it is a child of human wisdom. The Bible calls such a person a fool. It says the fool said in his heart there is no God! That means the wisdom of men is foolishness in the sight of God.
People who live their lives by it are foolish irrespective of the degrees they may have from the ivory towers. The wisdom of men is usually the platform for the establishment of the demonic wisdom.
For instance, certain divorces cases are product of demonic wisdom. It is demonic wisdom for a woman to go sleep with another man just to hurt her husband, and vice versa. It is demonic wisdom for a woman who is childless to get pregnant by another man and place it on her husband’s head instead of waiting on God.
I think it is important at this point to share what demonic wisdom pushes us to do! It is demonic wisdom that pushes us to hold a grudge against people instead of calling them to resolve issues as the Bible says. It is demonic wisdom to steal other people’s ideas and succeed in life claiming it was ours.
It is demonic wisdom not to forgive those who offend us because Satan do not forgive. It is demonic wisdom to ask that God kill our enemies, because Satan kills, steals and destroys. Divine wisdom will say “pray for them.” It is demonic wisdom that tells us “pray against them.”
Sadly, that is what is even behind our pulpits every Sunday.
It is demonic wisdom to seek revenge. Divine wisdom will tell you “Vengeance belongs to God.” It is demonic wisdom to let your anger to go out of control and become a catalyst of destruction each time you are angry.
DIVINE WISDOM SAYS, “BE ANGRY BUT SIN NOT; DO NOT LET THE SUN GO DOWN ON YOUR ANGER.”
The Sun going down on your anger is saying two things. The first is, do not let your anger stay for too long. Kill it before it kills you or something around. The second is, do not let demonic forces act on your anger.
The sun sometimes represents either demonic or occult powers. It is therefore an application of demonic wisdom in marriage for couples not to be talking to themselves because they are angry at each other and want to make a point. Demonic wisdom will always give a place to the devil. When couples do that, they are giving a place to the devil to strike their marriage!
Demonic wisdom is pulling down another person in other to succeed in life. In the life of people who are applying this kind of wisdom to succeed, dog eats dog. They pull down people either by speaking ill of them or doing some other things against them to rise.
You see this in the lives of even ministers of the gospel. They speak ill of their spiritual mentors and any other person that is ahead of them in ministry believing that by doing so they will succeed. Mentors who have also become tormentors do that to their mentees too.
David was spoken ill of by Saul just to have people slay him. He was supposed to be protected by Saul, his mentor, but jealousy and lack of security in his calling could not let that happen.
When mentors pull down mentees or mentees pull down mentors to rise, they are operating demonic wisdom and it will backfire on them. Any success that comes to you by pulling down another man will either leave you in the middle of your days or become a consuming force and destroy you.
It is demonic wisdom to be sleeping with more than one man or woman instead of getting and staying married to one partner. The easiest way to shorten your life is to share it sexually with multiple partners.
IT IS DEMONIC WISDOM TO GET PREGNANT AND WICKEDLY GO TO ABORT THE BABY.
You are placing a Child on the altar of Baal in the spirit. It is demonic wisdom to shed the blood of the innocent in any way. Blood has a way of crying out and pursuing people. Yes, read the book of Ezekiel and you will see how blood cries against mankind.
The blood of Abel cried against Cain. And Jesus said all the blood of the righteous that was shed in Jerusalem will cry against a particular generation of the Children of those who killed the people. The purpose of demonic wisdom is for men to do what will make the earth they live in consume them.
That is why out devotional text this morning says we should ask for the Wisdom of God. It says “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith”. It is risky not to do this daily. Because one way we can prevent ourselves from applying demonic wisdom to our lives is by seeking divine wisdom from God on daily bases.
The Bible says we should ask in faith. How do we ask in faith?
We ask in faith by spending time with God in prayer, going through the Bible, and trusting Him to speak something into our hearts. We ask in faith by looking out for an insight, foresight, or an illumination from God to apply on whatever we need Him to guide us in, as we pray.
One day I was in a terrible crossroad and needed wisdom to guide me. I knew what I was facing can easily open my heart to either the wisdom of men, or that of demons to come into my spirit. But I spent time with God in prayer to seek for His wisdom.
After days of seeking the LORD, He illuminated my Spirit with a scripture that saved the day! The same miracle can happen to you.
Seek the LORD for wisdom each time you are on a crossroad. The wisdom I got that day asked me to forgive the offended and taught me how to do it effective without further hurting my life and ministry.
God can use the Bible to make you wiser than your enemies if you will create quality time to read it seeking for wisdom, especially in your crisis moments!
