TODAY’S DEVOTION (TUESDAY 14TH FEBRUARY 2023)
“How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, you who weakened the nations!
For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north;
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’ Isaiah 14:12-14 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 45TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF SIGNS AND WONDERS!
It’s been a very beautiful year so far, because of the sunshine of God’s goodness and mercies that has been beaming upon our lives. We have not survived these 45 days by our might or power, but by the Spirit of the LORD.
We started the year with great truths on visionary living. I hope we have not forgotten those prophetic sight restoring truths. Now, we are looking at supernatural living, according to the scriptural Cry of the Holy Spirit on it.
We have seen the foundation of supernatural living; a life of consecration after salvation. Today, we will be looking at a new contemplation on the subject. We will be looking at the root of the dark supernatural and why it has trapped so many people.
But before then, let’s look at one word that describes the type of manifestation you see, wherever the dark supernatural is operational, either in people, cultures, traditions, systems, customs, worship, or religion. The word is called “possession.”
To be possessed is to be controlled, occupied or governed by powers that are beyond you. A lot of demon possession takes place where the dark supernatural exist. People have been possessed by the dark supernatural to confess things they know nothing about. You find this in Churches led by false prophets and charlatans, who want to deceive even the elects.
God does not possess people. God empower people. It is demons that possess people, and it happens wherever the supernatural of darkness is present. That is why we must stay away from the dark supernatural, no matter the problem-solving shade it comes in.
Sadly, in the kingdom of darkness, they call the dark supernatural the supernatural of God. It is a ploy to deceive because very few will follow the devil if he comes to them as the devil. He would have to come to them as God.
So, when we say the supernatural of God, someone who has taken the supernatural of the devil as the supernatural of God may be thinking we are on the same page. No! we are not!!
The dark supernatural has millions of people trapped in it because it solves their problems without any cost, apart from financial sacrifices, human sacrifice, and material sacrifices, and other religious rules the people are told to keep. It has no cost like genuinely giving your life to Christ, consecration after salvation, or living the Crucified life as the cost.
Yes, it has no being intimate with the blessed Holy Spirit of God, as the cost. It has no burying the old nature, walking with God or having “Christ in you” as the cost. So, people are easily trapped in it.
That is why if you want to tap into the supernatural of God, you must come through the doors of Christ, through genuine salvation encounter, then embrace His consecration patterns in scriptures, His crucified life, intimacy with His blessed Holy Spirit, His mystery of godliness, His spirit of prophecy which is His testimony, called in the Bible “the Testimony of Jesus Christ.”
You must not worship God putting your earthly needs in front of you. You must worship Him seeking His kingdom first, not the meeting of your needs first, and then His righteousness. Then all other things will be added to you. You must not put your worries ahead of God. The Bible says;
“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’
For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Matthew 6:31-33 NKJV
When we worry about what we will eat, what we will wear, or about any problems we have, while seeking God, we will be putting our needs first: we will be putting what we may be going through ahead of God. It will become our god by taking away our worship (or submission).
When it becomes our god, the God we seek will become like a good will charm to us, or a tool to solving what we may be going through; making us vulnerable to the dark supernatural.
That was what the gentiles, or pagans did that got them into the dark supernatural, and gave birth to Idol worship. They had problems, sort God in their darkness, and found what appeared to them like God, it solved their problems, and they began to worship it. Sadly, that is what many, even in Church still do today, hence becoming trapped by the dark supernatural.
The problem-solving ability of the dark supernatural, and its Godless and unholy cost, trapped many into it because we are all born Godless.
Talking about the problem-solving ability of the dark supernatural, I have heard people saying, “the powers of the witch doctors are from God also. It is God’s way of using them to help people solve problems.” This is one of the most ignorant statements I have heard people who touch the dark supernatural say.
Some people think that, the fact that a problem is being solved by a supernatural force, means its God that is behind the power. To their sensibilities, the word Satan is associated with wickedness, and there is no problem solving in him. This is true, but it is not all of the truth.
There is problem solving in Satan. The Bible is clear that Satan solve problems, and uses a corrupt anointing or a dark supernatural to do that. And He does it, to be like God who also solves human problems. Our devotional text says;

If you look at this scripture, you see a cascade of Lucifer’s (Satan’s) original intent. From the intention to leave his own created domain, the perfect earth, to God’s own domain, Heaven; to the intention to exalt himself above the stars or angels of God, and to the intention to sit on the mount of the congregation on the farthest side of the north; and to the intention to ascend the heights of the clouds, and to his last intention to be like the Most High.
This cascade of intentions was what drove him out of Heaven. One would have thought he will drop them after losing his place in Heaven, but he did not, even after being given time in eternity to do. That was why God created hell for him and all the angels that fell with him.
Every intentions of Satan that we find in the scripture of our devotional text, has not changed. It has only been reinforced.
One of his intentions, before he fell from Heaven, as we can see in this scripture, was to be like the Most High God. He is still infected with it; Yes, he is still infected with the “I will be like the Most High” infection. There are two ways he carries out that intention.
The first is through infiltration and deception among all men, using human policies, systems, cultures, traditions and etc. The second is through the birth of man-made religion.
In every man-made religion, Satan appears to people as God, give them teachings as God, create rules for them to live by as GOD, speak to them as God using his demons, give them prophecies, visions, revelations, and all forms of spiritual communication as God. He will never come to them as Satan.
He solves their problems as God, live in their temples as God, and in their lives as spirits of the God. But they do not know that they are dealing with Satan himself, appearing to them like the Most High. In some of these man-made religions, they use God’s book (the Bible) and other books they present as God’s book, to relate with Satan.
He even inspires them to use God’s book because without that, he cannot succeed in manifesting as the Most High God to those who truly desire GOD.
That is why you find him in churches that are either not founded in Christ, or are founded in Christ but not walking in consecration and truth. He will find a spot there, to be like the Most High among them, solving problems through the preachers, and using magical gadgets like Oil, Salt, holy water, incense, candle, stones, magical clothes called prayer clothes or mantles, and etc. to minister.
Outside the church, he uses witches, wizards, warlocks, native doctors, magicians, spiritism, psychics, and etc. to solve people’s problem with the dark supernatural.
All these forms of interferences of the devil with people’s lives, through the system of problem solving, has a way of possessing or controlling the people, their families, their traditions, their cultures, and all about them. It has a way of darkening their souls and spirits, and sealing their hearts with the spirits of hell, death and grave.
It is very important that a man stay far away from the dark supernatural, no matter how helpful it appears. Do not forget the two reasons why God killed Saul, or why He allowed him to fall under the sword of his enemies. One of it was because he visited a witch. He touched the dark supernatural. The Bible says;
“So Saul died for his unfaithfulness which he had committed against the LORD, because he did not keep the word of the LORD, and also because he consulted a medium for guidance.
But he did not inquire of the LORD; therefore He killed him, and turned the kingdom over to David the son of Jesse.” 1 Chronicles 10:13-14 NKJV
It is very clear that Christians who disobey God, live very unfaithful lives, and in most cases, have no true relationship with God, will ultimately end up with dark men of God within the church system, to have their problems solved, the way Saul ended up with the witch of endor.
Whatever we read here that happened to Saul, his gradual decline, and eventual death, can happen to anyone who touch the dark supernatural. Do not think that the dark supernatural that people touch, that may be solving their problems, either in church or outside the church, is not harming them eternally. Satan is not dump. He will make sure he possesses who he helps.
Friend, even if it solved your problems, you will never enjoy the blessings of God touching the dark supernatural. It is going to solve your problems, but complicate your life after that.
Touching the dark supernatural has not blessed anyone in the long run. It has only possessed their cultures, homes, businesses, lifestyles, customs, traditions, and bodies in some cases, keeping them under demon possession or control.
Like it happened to Saul, it has defeated the prophetic plans of God for so many lives, and brought them to an early grave. Some are in hardship, curses, and under the gates of their enemies today, because the supernatural solved their problems yesterday.
There are no words to fully describe the cost of touching the dark supernatural. We will see more about that tomorrow, because enough has been shared for the day.
May the LORD use these words to keep guiding our lives, on matters of supernatural living, in Jesus precious name. Amen!
LET THIS SCRIPTURE BE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY!
And when they say to you, “Seek those who are mediums and wizards, who whisper and mutter,” should not a people seek their God? Should they seek the dead on behalf of the living?
To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
They will pass through it hard-pressed and hungry; and it shall happen, when they are hungry, that they will be enraged and curse [p]their king and their God, and look upward.
Then they will look to the earth, and see trouble and darkness, gloom of anguish; and they will be driven into darkness. Isaiah 8:19-22 NKJV
